Another silly card

Well Ok I promised I was through with the silly cards but....I lied. This little rabbit was the only one left in the set and was screaming at me...Hey you forgot me. I just had to put some ink on the little guy and slap him on a card. You probably wonder why he has pink cheeks don't you? Well the inside of the card says " oops it's a hare past your birthday!" so the little guy is a bit embarassed. Love this set and for those of you who have asked I went through some SU catalogs and found the set in the 2005-2006 book on pg. 87. How's that for devotion to my fans?? The set is called Birthday Banter # 103814. Now I don't promise you'll be able to find it but it's worth a try if you like it. Get in touch with your SU rep. and give that woman the chore to find it and sell it to you. My birthday greeting is from Just Rite and my paper from K&Co. Have a sweet day good friends. It is cloudy here so it's an inside day I guess.
Yesterday I took a crocheting lesson so I can make my own little flowers to put on cards. I'll truly be making them to send to DD Julie but I may keep one or two for me. Please don't swamp me with requests until I really know what I'm doing...the first one looks like a perfect job since the teacher was by my side helping. I'm off...yes in more ways then one.

Man ribbon...manly card

Well the Friday challenge at notimetostamp is to make a manly ( if there is such a word)card and use like string or twine etc. My etc. is I guess called hemp.
Mr.Webster of the dictionary fame says...hemp has a strong stem that yeilds a course fiber that is used in cordage and I think mine is that cordage. Love that word, it's manly and so that is why I used it for my " manly" ribbon. This lighthouse is a stamp I borrowed from a friend and stamped off so....don't know who made it. Just very lightly colored it, added some of the seagulls along the side using my water-mark ink and the Happy Birthday from Just Rite. Simple card and suitable for my
manly card.
Well it's the weekend again and I'm in the process of spreading 3 yards of cedar mulch in my flower beds and trying to exterminate the weeds. I scream die weeds die, but for some weird reason they are too ornery to oblige. Makes me feel like as I grow older I grow more irritable. Dang! Have a fun weekend.

Call 911 Granny is celebrating her birthday

Well this old sweetie is going to need help putting out the fire with all those candles to deal with.
The challenge at notimetostamp is to do something related to "senior citizens" and what better way then to celebrate a milestone birthday. That's the way my cake would look this year, but I prefer just putting on one candle so I can blow it out without any help.
This is an Art Impressions oldie but goodie stamp done with colored pencils, a bit of glitter, Just Rite for the phrase, and my Spellbinder die cuts and punch for flower. Easy but gets the point across.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend...yep it's that time again. Where did the days go???

Happy birthday Tina's Grandpa Frank

This is my card for Tina's grandfather Frank who turns 88 years old on the 21st. of this month.
Lola is just hoping his day just bubbles over with fun and that's what she tells him on the inside of this card. This is an Art Impressions stamp and the Happy Birthday is from Just Rite. I stamped and then colored with my trusty water colored pencils. Did you notice Lola's blue diamond??? Never heard of a blue diamond....well if not it's because they are so $$$$ . It's one of those things that if you have to ask the price, well then you can't afford it. Hope Frank has a wonderful 88th. birthday with many more to come.
