Timeless Tuesday....uses more then one set

Use more then one set...it's Timeless Tusday at Flourishes. This was a fun challenge and after rummaging through my sets I came up with a plan or sort of anyway. My branch which is almost invisible unless you click to enlarge is done in a shadow sage and is from the set called Humming along...my favorite little bird the humming bird. The butterfly which I set on 2 die cut circles from Spellbinders is from the Clematis set and lastly the word friend comes from the Gerber Daisies set. I think I should have used a brighter color on this card and it may have ended up to be a bit more showy but I didn't so it is what it is. Hope your week is off to a great start. This is my week for Hospice training and I'm really looking forward to starting that service...I'll let you know how it goes.

Timeless Tuesday...make your own

Well Timeless Tuesday's challenge over at Flourishes is to make your own flowers. But since I didn't have time to grab the snot rag...oops I mean tissue and produce a flower, I grabbed a punch and started beating the living daylights out of it to "make" my own flowers. Love the Cuttlebug folder on this card, it truly is one of my favorites ( a gift from DD, wouldn't you know!). So the card is done by such a simple plan, use punch watch flowers bloom right in front of your eyes, add some centers made up of bling, add a phrase from Around the Arbor and viola you are fini. Feel like being French today. Happy day fellow stampers and remember to come back before the day is out for a picture of my blog candy. Moving slow today but will get back with the goodies.

Timeless Tuesday...sketch challenge by Silke

Well today's challenge for Timeless Tuesday is a sketch challenge by Silke and you can see what I did to the sketch below.
I guess I deviated somewhat but did manage to get all the elements in anyway...I just switched them up a bit. You can see the sketch challenge deets at Flourishes by clicking here. I once again used the calendar set which as you can see by now I am loving. Very versatile and to me...just the right size stamp to use on die cuts. I chose the crocus and just did a bit of water coloring with my good old pencils. The verse is from Flourishes Gerbera Daisy set. Ran my white through the swiss-dot embossing folder that Cuttlebug puts out and after using a few Spellbinder cuts I'm good to go. Add some fancy pantsy ribbon, some blingers and wahoo!!! Fini.
Went to the gym today to work out with all the hunky, muscle chunky guys who are so much fun. They come to the machines and I play dumb and I've got them instructing me for FREE ! Now that's pretty clever if you ask me and if you don't ask me well that' Ok too. I have one favorite that comes up to the stair step machine and yells...Come on Mama, you've got to burn it. Here's these young chicky do's going a mile a minute and there's me just barely moving. I am trying and I am getting better. Lost some good poundage so far but have to keep at it.
Well happy week fellow stamper.
