Thank you everyone for playing along with this caption contest and sending in your submissions. All the captions were so good that it was difficult to choose a winner. I finally decided to go with the "random drawing" method and printed out everyone's caption for the drawing.

My sissy just happened to stop by this afternoon and I enlisted her timely help in choosing the winning caption from the bucket.

Hey Everybody, it's time for another Nature Knitter Caption Contest, so get your witty thinking caps on and send me a clever caption for this picture........



I took this picture last Saturday at Nerstrand Big Woods State Park during our Master Naturalist field trip. That's my instructor's hand gripping this cute little American Toad.

Since I'm going to be kind of busy this week, I'll give you all until next Saturday (May 16th) to post your caption. The winner of this caption contest will be announced on Sunday (May 17th) and will receive one of my lovely hand-knitted cotton dishcloths as a grand prize!

If you're a follower of Bill of the Birds Blog, you've no doubt enjoyed the caption contests he's been hosting (click here for the most recent contest and winners). I'm amazed at all the clever and hilarious captions people have come up with for his photos, so I decided to have a little contest for my blog readers too.

Give this little squirrel a voice.

I know someone out there can come up with a great caption for this picture. The person who writes the winning caption for this picture will receive their choice of one of these fabulous prizes: 1) a half-pint of my delicious homemade wild grape jelly or 2) a dozen pieces of my tasty homemade venison jerky.
