Visited by Jesus on Resurrection Sunday

Here are a few pictures from Easter Sunday for your viewing enjoyment or maybe punishment. ;)

I'm really not sure about the little guy here. I think he was being silly pretending to be the Easter bunny.

We have three beautiful kind and sweet big girls. Truly have no greater joy in life than knowing they are walking with the Risen Lord!

And then there are these adorable babies who aren't babies at all anymore. They keep us busy and they keep us smiling.

I had to share this little song that Kaite, age 8, wrote. She is constantly singing and writing down lyrics. Also from Kaiterbug, came this funny quip, “It’s so depressing when you have a crush on a fictional character and you find out he’s old enough to be your dad now.”

We had a really nice Resurrection Sunday and a meal with our church family afterwards. The children had fun hunting eggs while the adults sat outside around a warm fire sipping coffee. Our services were crowned with the sweet presence of Jesus. We are so thankful that he visited us! I wrote the following words as a new verse for an old song we used as in invitation for Jesus to join us for our little service.
🎼      I Thank you for going up Calvary’s hill.
For being submissive to the fathers will.
You paid my sin debt so I could go free.
Oh, I’m still amazed—you would do that for me.🎹
And then we changed the chorus up a little too.
🎼      V                                    is  Visit us now risen Jesus, we pray we implore.
Let thy sweet Holy Spirit descend as before.
In humble submission, at your cross we bow.
Send down your spirit, and visit us now.🎹
If you know the rest of the verses, they lead up to and fit the theme.

The program began with Kaite and Kaderick telling us the biggest thing Jesus was Guilty of (LOVING US) and then Kaderick nailed a sign to the cross "This is Jesus." He got a little carried away with his hammer, doing quite a bit of banging to be sure it was secure until someone finally told him it was good.
The program went on from there to try and tell something that is quite impossible to tell....who Jesus is.

In other news, Kayla is feeling much better and back to her busy self. Running around working, getting braces adjusted (they come off soon) and acing every assignment that falls in her lap at school. They changed her medication and it seems to make all the difference. They didn't find anything concerning in her heart tests, and sometimes this "inappropriate tachycardia" even rights itself with time and treatment. She dislikes taking meds about as much as her mom does, so she's excited about that prospect. Thanks for your prayers! We are grateful for this good news!
It is springtime and my body can feel that. I haven't been feeling well and my joints are swelling again, but there's no time for letting it get you down, so I just keep going. I love the changing seasons, but autoimmune disease and season changes are the worst of enemies.
We are working hard to get school completed in the next month or so and trying to get some yard work done. New concrete is on the agenda very soon! Rick is away training for his new job this week so facetime has been used at a high rate. He doesn't like traveling much at all anymore and we don't like him being away either. One exciting thing about this trip is that he's trying to arrange a little time with his sister that we haven't seen for a few years, so that's a silver lining in that humid Texas cloud. Family is so important and it's always such a blessing when you can be together even if just for a bit. Wives, just let me throw this out there...encourage relationships between your husband and his family. I see too many who try to drive wedges based on inconsequential differences or their own insecurities and I find that so sad and wrong. (No charge for that little sermon which of course can be applied to anyone, not just wives.) LOL
