This morning my husband closed the service with prayer and Kaderick, who usually has a hard time sitting still or focusing too long, continued praying out loud at the close of the prayer. He thanked Jesus for various things and then prayed for a couple little friends of his that they would "be christians." I'm not one of those moms who makes her kid sit perfectly still in church. I know...this is an area of debate, but my thought is that I want them to LOVE church not be miserable there. Around this age, they usually start really enjoying it and today was one of my first glimpses of tenderness in Kaderick. Warms a mommas heart.

Thankful my parents are okay after someone ran a stop sign and hit them and sent them spinning on their way home from church this morning. Mom’s cold and shaky—glad I always carry a blanket and we were close enough to get here quickly. Otherwise they seem fine. Crazy guy who hit them thought maybe he’d just leave but Papa told him to stay and wait for authorities. Take it from me—you do what he says, even at 79.

Kaite and Kaderick loving on a baby at church.
Masto checkup day at MSTI. This is always a bittersweet day. We are so thankful that Kaderick's situation isn't worse. We always see some sad cases in Pediatric Oncology and it just rips your heart out. We had good results again this year. Kaderick was brave for his labs and had fun drawing corn fields on the paper in the room and them farming with his tractor. They are always 10 steps ahead in dealing with children over here--they just know how to do it right. Those working in this area definitely have a special gift!

Kaite working on her "Eights." Times tables have been easy for her thankfully! She's such a little minute!
I'm such a kid at heart. I love surprises! Occasionally my husband gets access to older iPhones. Like when people retire, or he fires them. Yikes! Anyway, no one in our family has expensive phone service through like sprint or verizon because yeah....you could make a small car payment for what those guys charge! But.....my husband is a bit of a tech guy and he hooks us all up with these old free to us iPhones through tracphone so we at least look cool. Okay, not really....who... uses iPhone 4,5, or 6 these days??? Trachone charges like $10/mo! Of course, we don't have unlimited service, but it's sufficient and we can use our home/work/school internet on them so we almost always have access one way or another. My latest phone is an iPhone 6!! Yep, I'm coming up in the world. lol! So....I needed a nice cover since the one it came with wasn't appropriate for me and I told hubby I didn't care what it looked like and I'm weird about spending money so he usually picks things like this. Well, this is the one he chose for me on Amazon and it just showed up in the mail. It's perfect--and special because he chose it.
