Under The Sea

Kaite chose an under-the-sea theme for her party. Mommy had fun with the cake. It was actually pretty quick and easy. Kaite loved it!

We made little oyster shell cookies with vanilla Oreos and gumballs.

We made jello with gummy fish....probably not the tastiest, but it was cute.

We also had Kaite's favorite, pepperoni and sausage pizza. I'm not sure how that fit with the theme, but they get to make the menu on their birthdays. Smile.

Simple, cheap, crepe paper streamers made "seaweed" on the wall.

The punch was sea-blue complete with "foam" and won in the flavor department too.

Party favors were the little glass containers with sand and shells. The girls each got to make their own, so it served as a fun activity as well.

We all love this birthday girl so much! We always love our kiddos, but their birthdays are a special time to reflect on what a blessing and responsibility God has given us.

Her main gift was something the whole family can enjoy and mom can clean. Glo fish! Kaite has been asking for a fish for a couple of years.

Flash back to five years ago.

Nothing more precious than new baby to snuggle. Have to admit though--I am not missing the crying and recovery time or the crying or many, many, many nighttime feedings and crying and diapers and crying and did I mention the crying?

Kaite's under-the-sea party was a success, and Kaite is a TREASURE!

More egg hunting

Reach way up there.

In the program, Kade did an excellent job being Peter with his little stuffed rooster.

Looking way up in the blue sky where He ascended and reminded that He will come again that where He is, we can be also.

We enjoyed Easter dinner with family and friends from church gathered around our table. In leu of taking pictures of all the food, I simply enjoyed the company. I did get a photo of our cake (the fun nest above) and some of the pretty eggs the girls colored.

I love the Easter season. Building up to the Resurrection and the hope of new life is such an exciting time!  Our program was blessed with visitors and our living Saviour's sweet presence.  Because of Him the future is bright.

I'll post a link with program details soon.

Happy Easter, everyone! He is Risen, indeed!
