I Brake For Beautiful Flowers!

Happy Saturday everyone!
I just received a new shipment from I Brake For Stamps and I couldn't be happier!!  It's like Christmas when I open a new box of stamps.

Today I'm sharing the set called BOTANICAL.
It's a set of five, two images and 3 verses.
I've also used the verse OLD FRIENDS.

Not only were there stamps in my box but some beautiful WILD ORCHID FLOWERS as well!
The flowers actually inspired my whole card.  I tried to color the image to match the flowers.
I used 2-tone Champagne Pink Cherry Blossom,  10mm Golden Yellow Open Roses and 15mm Cream Open Roses.  Aren't they gorgeous!  You can trim the stems off if you like but often I curl them (using my piercing tool) and leave them sticking out.  I think it gives them a bit of a whimsical vine look.

My family has 7 birthdays in March so I always have to get started early.
This one will be for my sister-in-law.

The birthday sentiment inside is also found in the Botanical set.

Here's a close up of the beautiful flower.

Monochromatic sympathy

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing a sympathy card.  These are one of my biggest sellers.  I have several customers that would much rather give a handmade card to someone that's grieving than something store bought.

I Brake For Dessert!

Hello IBFS fans!!  Today I'm sharing a card with such a funny verse on it.  I needed to make my mother-in-law a birthday card and I thought she'd get a kick out of it.  The verse is called Live For the Day.

All of my dies are from Spellbinders.
I made the pin myself.

Once Upon A Time

My sister has asked for an Anniversary card for her Mother and Father-In-Law. I believe this is 51 years for them but I'm not positive. I had just picked up some very pretty stamps in the A.C. Moore dollar bin and thought they'd be perfect for what I had in mind for their card. The two stamps were "once upon a time" and "home is where your heart lives". The Happy Anniversary is from PSX. I used the 'Aged Sheet Music Scrapblock for the background. On the front I stamped it in Versafine Black Onyx and on the inside where I knew my sister would be writing I used Stampin' Up's Going Gray. All of the mattes were cut with Spellbinder's Nestabilities and the flower swirl is from Cuttlebug. The beautiful roses on the front are from Stampin' Up and they are colored with a combination of Copic markers and watercolor pencils. The corners on the inside and out were cut from an EK Success Paper Shapers punch.
