Thank you for a dance teacher

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Today I'm sharing one of the dance cards that I made for Makena's teachers.
I've had a huge bin of flowers on a shelf for years and I realized I don't use them nearly enough.  I think a 3-D flower on a card is really pretty.

I added some flatback rhinestones and sequins for a little bling.

The verse inside just really seemed to fit Miss Becky.

Dance like no one's watching!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing another of the dance teacher cards I made this year.
This one features the super hilarious 3580 – Dancers Set from Art Impressions Girlfriends line.

This card was for Sue, the office manager, who has a fun side. I thought this would be perfect for her.

We always joke that the moms should do a dance.  Maybe this will be me someday! NOT!! Trust me, NO ONE wants to see THAT!

Copics used:
C0, C00, T1, Y21, RV14, E00,
E02, E13, E29, E37, E81, E93

TriArt: R-12

Shaker thank you

Hello and happy Thursday!

Today I'm sharing another of the dance teacher thank you cards that I made for Makena's teachers.

This time I made a segmented shaker card.  There are little beads and sequins in each of the circles as well as the space surrounding them.

I used some of the scraps from the circles on the inside.

I also used some dies to cut the Thank You.

Thanks for all you do...

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Today I'm sharing one of the dance cards that I made for Makena's teachers.  Each year the competitive team give all the teachers a gift and I make the cards.

The circles were all cut from a larger piece of paper with circles all over it.  I trimmed some of them out and arranged them in this waterfall pattern.

Ease on Down the Road (dance teacher thank you)

  Hello and happy Friday everyone!!

Today I'm sharing another of the dance teacher thank you cards that I made for Makena's dance teachers at the end of year banquet.  This one was for Miss Jody, her acro teacher.  They did Ease on Down the Road and it was just adorable!

I used a Sizzix brick embossing folder to make the Yellow Brick Road.  The magic wand was made with a Quickutz die.  The image was colored with Copic markers.

I carried the YBR onto the inside and used two more Quickutz dies to make the Wicked Witches hat and shoes.  The verse is from an old, retired Cornish Heritage Farms text set.
I apologize for the poor quality photo.  This was snapped quick during a dress rehearsal.
Makena is front and center.  She was the Scarecrow.

Dance teacher thank you #8

Hello and happy Wednesday!

Today I'm sharing the 8th and final card in my dance teacher thank you series.
Bear with me...this proud mom is going to share some photos this time.

This one was for the studio owner, Miss Nicky.  She teaches Makena lyrical, ballet, acro and jazz.
Yes, Makena is a busy little dancer! (these are in addition to her solo, duo, tap, musical theater and production numbers) Yup!  I'm a dance mom.  But don't worry, it's NOTHING like you see on T.V.

I've always loved this quote.
The mattes are made with Spellbinders dies.
This was Holland Road.  Makena's the one on the right up in the air.  She and the other girl would fall when they got to the top of the human stairs.

The ballerina was made with a 4" Quickutz die.
She was also Budha in their production number of The King and I.

Here's the inside.
Having fun with friends. (Makena is on the far left)

Bird Machine.

And last but not least Makena (in gold) and her friend "K" with their 10 year trophies.

Dance teacher thank you #7

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Today I'm sharing card #7 in my dance teacher series.  As you know if you've seen my other posts, the moms at my daughter's dance studio asked me to make a thank you card for the 6 dance teachers and two helpers.  This one went to Miss Taylor.  The image is a digi.

I added some stickles and flat back rhinestones to give her some sparkle.

You're one in a MINION!! (dance thank you card)

Hello and happy Wednesday!

Today I'm sharing card number 6 in my dance teacher series.
Technically this one wasn't for a teacher.  The studio owner's mother-in-law made several minion costumes for the opening number at the recital so we included her in the end of year gifts to thank her for all her hard work.  So...Miss Kathy..."you're one in a minion!"

No stamping on the front.  Both image and verse were printed off the internet.
I loved that these little guys appeared to be in the shape of a heart.

Do you like the little googly eye?  I decided to go with just one since it just seemed more fun.

Here's the inside where I finally did a little stamping.
The "thank you for all the little things you do" verse is from EVERY DAY PHRASES from I Brake For Stamps.
