Layton's Legacy and Art Impressions Blog Hop

Hello Ai fans
and fans of the wonderful organization Layton's Legacy.

Today Art Impressions is participating in a blog hop to help this wonderful cause.

I've used 3 Ai sets on the front of my card.

Our task was to make woodland themed cards.  Well...that's right up my alley!  I live in a house surrounded by woods on all four sides and just LOVE animals.  This photo was provided for further inspiration.

Below is the inside of my card where I've used two more Ai watercolor sets.

I hope you all take the time to participate in this wonderful blog hop.
I have a friend who has had several babies born sleeping and so this cause is special to me.  I wish there wasn't a need for fundraisers like this.

Copics used:
W3, E00, E33, E35, B41, T3, Y28

NEW Michael's Clear Stamps!!

Hello Ai fans!

Welcome to the Art Impressions new release of Michael's clear stamps.

There are three wonderful new sets available...

Spare Me SC0680
Get Well SC0681
Got Style SC0678

The set I'm sharing is SPARE ME!

The new challenge is called Show Off Your Stamp
When I get my stamps I place them in clear CD cases and then I index them in a binder. The number in the circle tells which case they're in and I also put the name and or sku number on the page too.

I used one of the fun verses on the inside of my card.

Even if you're not a bowler (which I'm not) this set is so much fun!
That doesn't mean I don't TRY to bowl...it just means...yeah...I'm not a bowler.

I made two different versions that were almost identical.  I just changed up the colors on the bags and clothes and the skin color on the ladies.

Here's a fun little tip.  Sometimes I don't feel like paper piecing.  Maybe I don't have just the right paper for the look I want.  I took a very fine point black marker and I created the diamond pattern on the ladies shirts.  You can see the plain look on the pink and orange shirts if you scroll back up.  I like how it turned out.

Now onto my masculine version.  Isn't this guy the best?
I found this amazingly adorable paper stack from American Crafts at Michael's for only $5.00.  I was instantly in love when I saw the bowling papers.  It also has some movie themed papers that I can't wait to use with At the Movies Set (Sku#4237).

I stamped the pin that I used on the front repeatedly on the inside in combination with the verse.

So do you LOVE LOVE LOVE these as much as I do?

AiDT Reunion Blog Hop + New Spinners Release! Ho Ho Ho!!

Hello Ai fans!
Today is another exciting day over at Art Impressions
They've released several new spinners!

You should have arrived here from Piali's blog.

On my card I've used the new  Santa Spinner (Sku#4678) and Santa Spinner Dies (Sku#4697).
I've also used some Mini Front and Backs on my card.
Elf & Reindeer Set (Sku#4507) and Elf & Reindeer Mini Dies (Sku#4542)

Rather than a card I decided to make a little Christmas display scene.  The bamboo dowel can be removed to it can fold flat to mail or for storage.  I know that my kids would have LOVED spinning this Santa when they were little.
