I brake for Bob's Birthday and Anchors!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing my Brother-in-Law's birthday card.  I have a TON of March birthdays in mine and my husband's family and need to get a jump start.  A bunch of them are southern "beach" people so I love nautical cards for them.

I've used the MS97 Full Plate from I Brake for Stamps for my card.

Don't forget...you can always save 10% off your purchase at I Brake for Stamps when you use my coupon code
It never expires and can be used over and over again.

All of the die cuts are from Ellen Hutson and pair perfectly with this beautiful sheet of nautical images!

Here's the inside of the card.  I didn't stamp a birthday sentiment inside but I figured we could just write it in.  Bob lives on Hilton Head Island and this lighthouse reminded me of one we visited when we've gone to see them.

It seems ironic.  I don't like the beach due to my fair skin (previous bout with skin cancer) and my fear of things in the ocean.  Yet...if you asked me...nautical cards are one of my all time favorite cards to make and ocean creatures are some of my favorite animals on earth.  I don't know...go figure.

I Brake For Longfellow and Lighthouses!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a friendship card with you.  It's not secret that I love lighthouses.  I own several different ones from I Brake For Stamps.  This particular one comes in two sizes (I've used the smaller one) and it's called SMALL CAPE HATTERAS.

The verse I paired it with is called HEART OF A FRIEND.
I thought it was such a pretty quote (from Longfellow) and that it went well with the lighthouse.

I always like using some sort of rope or hemp on a nautical card.

I Brake For Large Lighthouses!

Hello and happy Saturday!
I have a friend who asks for at least 2 nautical themed cards a year.  I haven't made one in a while so I'm sure she must have one of the birthdays coming up soon.  I figured I'd get a jump and have it ready for her when she asks.  I just love this LARGE LIGHTHOUSE so much.  It makes a very pretty sympathy card too.  For this card though I paired it with two verses from the EVERY DAY PHRASES set to make a birthday card.

Even though I think this is definitely masculine enough to give to a man it could easily be for a woman too.

Beach-Nautical themed thank you card

Summer is the time for vacations and my friend is lucky enough to
have a Sister-in-law with a gorgeous beach house in Myrtle Beach.  They
recently spent a week there and she wanted a card to send to her so that
she could thank them.  I love making Nautical type cards.  I have so many beautiful
PSX stamps especially...light houses, boats, sea birds etc.  I wish I had more occasions
to use them.

On this card I've used two PSX stamps and two Stampin' Up stamps.
The pilings with the seagulls and the flying seagull are both from PSX.  The outside
and inside sentiment are a set from SU.  The inside says...'I've decided to move in with you.'

These strings had a nautical feel to me as well as the lace I used.
I thought the lace kind of resembled a fishing net.  The little anchor and the
rhinestones are all from Pizzazz Aplenty.
