My Hero...The Weekend Warrior!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing
from their Father's Day Heroes line.

My card is for the Masculine Cards challenge on the Ai Blog.

This guy is perfect for anyone that has helped you out with a little DIY project up to, who knows??  Building a new deck! (Yes, things we've had help with)

I'm not exactly sure what this type of fold is called but I thought it work well for this card because I wanted to add a lot of tools but not cover the main image up.

Weekend Warrior from Art Impressions

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for my friend's husband. At school our custodians designed some wood storage units to store and charge the kids iPads.  I happened to look at them and grabbed a ruler one day.  They were the perfect size to store cardstock.  I mentioned to one of the teachers how I wish the custodians would make me one, lol!  Next thing I knew she had her very handy husband whip one up for me!!  How lucky am I??  I made this card to thank him for being so thoughtful!

I made a second one to have on hand just in case.

I found this adorable tape measure paper that was just perfect for this.

Here's the inside of Luke's card.

Here's the storage unit he made me.  Isn't it beautiful!!

These make the perfect thank you for a man who's done you a favor.

Here's the inside of my spare card.

My top 5 Art Impressions picks for 2015!

Hello Ai fans!
So, due to the busy time of year our bosses at Art Impressions have given us a little time off.  Our assignment this week was to choose our 5 favorite cards from the year.  Not an easy task.  I wanted to choose at least one from every line. I narrowed it down to 10 and then had my husband and two kids vote.  Most of these they chose unanimously.

So those were the 5 they chose.  I was really sad that not one of them picked this next card though.  I know the instructions were to pick 5 but I just had to include this one.  I love the Polar Pals and can see them being used in so many more ways than just for Christmas!

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and wish you the best in the new year!  See you in 2016!!

Here's the link to my faves from last year...

My Weekend Warrior from Art Impressions

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a masculine card that I made.  Anyone who knows me AT ALL knows that I love to make cards for guys!  This handy man is called Weekend Warrior (Sku#4378).

I love to use metal on guy cards.

I used some alphabet brads to spell out dad.

Since the inside needed to be flat I used some tool dies that I had.  It was the first time that I used them and I love how they turned out.  Don't laugh...I used the inside safety seal to a jar of nuts to make the tools.  It was a sturdy silver material so I saved it and cut them out of it.  Recycle, Reuse, Reduce! Right?

My (Ai) Hero! Art Impressions For the Fellas Challenge!

Hello Ai fans!

Today we begin another new challenge over at Art Impressions.  This one is called FOR THE FELLAS.  Father's Day is just around the corner so it's time to honor the men in our lives.

I made a card using several different types of guys because I know so many men are many different things for their families...they grill, they fix things...the kill our bugs!!!

I made a shutter tri-fold card.  This is what it looks like when it's closed.

I used several Ai stamps.
The men are all from the Art Impressions Heroes line.
This one's called BUG BUSTER.

This guy is the WEEKEND WARRIOR.

The dude on the front of the card is called GRILL FATHER.
The Father's Day verse is called FDMD set.

The Thanks for Wearing All the Hats verse is from the OPERATION WRITE HOME series called Every Hat Set.
