Elaborate Thank You card

This card was a labor of love and a tremendous undertaking. I wanted it to be really special though. At the end of August, we went to Florida to visit family members. I wanted to make sure I thanked them properly for their hospitality. They chauffeured us all around through terrible traffic, visited places they've been a million times and treated us to wonderful meals. My card represents all of the things we saw and did together with little hidden inside messages. The little ants and fruit represent some of Salvador Dali's paintings because we visited his museum. The aquatic life is from the Florida Aquarium. The birds and foliage are from the Sunken Gardens. The turtle is because my husband and brother-in-law rescued two while we were there. The signpost shows most of the places we visited and the Bigfoot? Well, that's just because my BIL likes him and my husband watched a Bigfoot movie on the plane ride.

The front panel has around 5 layers to it. There is a sheet of acetate and some of the fish and creatures are behind the sheet and some are popped up on top of it. I just love how dimensional it is.

Here you can kind of see just how many layers deep it is.

I didn't keep track of how many different companies products I used but it was a LOT!! I used things that I probably haven't used in 15 years.

I just freehanded Bigfoot to be a big hairy mess...lol! The little turtle is a retired freebie from Art Impressions.

It's fun to repurpose your stamps too. This parrot is really a the Freebie Cockatiel from Art Impressions. I didn't ink his little crown to make him look like the Macaws that we saw. The flamingos are from Kim Hein's (Art Impressions) exclusive Flamingo set. 5751 Let's Fla-Mingle Set.

I forgot to take a photo before writing my personal message so I blocked that out.

Thank You Coach!

Hello and happy Sunday!

My friend needed a thank you card for her
daughter's Cross Country coaches and she asked
me to make something in our school colors.

I tried my best to replicate the jerseys that they wear.

On the front of the card I used Simply Thank You
from Simon Says Stamp.
The jersey is from Close to my Heart. C1154 Basketball.
The sentiments on the inside are from Sporty Accessories
and Just so Sporty from Melanie Muenchinger.  (Gina K)
from Art Impressions

I also made some envelopes in our school colors to match the cards.

A Trio of Thank You Cards

Hello and happy Saturday!

You never know when you might need a thank you
card so I like to keep some on hand.

Today I have a trio of cheery cards.

I used Shaker Dome Cutting Templates from Momenta.
This one has features a bee and bird. I don't like that Momenta
doesn't name their products. It just has a UPC number.

It's a 21 pc. set and also comes with this wreath
and lots of flowers, branches and other dies.

At the moment, I can't find this Thanks die and I
don't remember who makes it.

These were a lot of fun to put together.
I hope you like them.

Pickles for the win!

Today I'm here to tell you to rethink your stamps.

I have this older, retired set from Cornish Heritage Farms,
and it's a peanut.

I didn't need a peanut. I needed a pickle.

If you think about it, they look fairly similar.

I gave it a go and was happy with the outcome.

This is what he looks like as a peanut. I needed a thank you card for a sweet
girl at school and she's a soccer nut. This was her card and envelope.

This time I wanted a pickle. He's much greener in person. I LOVE my phone
but after seeing my son's new camera on his updated version of my phone, I'm
very envious.  Several of my coworkers love pickles like I do, so I got a couple
of them a little gift.

I hope they like these!

3 Bee Shaker Thank You cards

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I have a trio of Bee themed thank you cards.

I feel like I always need a thank you card for someone, which is a GOOD thing!
It means I have so many wonderful people in my life who I feel I need to thank
all of the time for being there for me.

My cards are shaker cards and I used a variety of black, yellow and clear seed beads in them.

On the inside I used long retired bees and pussy willows from Cornish Heritage Farms. 6021 FUM Sweet Bee.

My series of thank you cards continues today with a bee themed
card that I made for a sweet girl at school who gave me a bee themed
gift because she knows how much I love them!

Thank you George!

Hello and happy Friday!

I have another thank you card to share.

This one was created for our art teacher at my school.

This time of year especially, he helps out so many of us with supplies
and all of his creative ideas, as well as actually creating things for us.

I wanted him to know that he is appreciated.

Everyone who he helped stopped by to sign the card.

It's tough to capture in a photo but this is some fun, holographic paper.
It changes color every time you move the card.  It's tough to design something for
someone who is an amazing artist but I'll bet he liked this.

You brighten my day from Art Impressions

 Happy Father's Day Ai fans!

I don't have a Father's Day card for you this time.

I've been swamped lately and needed to create some thank you cards for end of year school gifts.

I kept them small and simple because time means EVERYTHING right now!

Some of the journal dies were just perfect for this compact little card.
I think it measured about 1 1/2" x 2 1/2."

One friend gave me this adorable hexagon bee plaque.

It proudly lives on my mantle now.

I also received some bee socks and a Dunkin' GC.

My friend Holly who owns Clay All Day made me these as a special gift.
She has a Facebook page if you're interested.  She does ship and has  "3 for" deal I believe.

All of these wonderful people brightened my day!

I used Y18 to color the bees.
