Good luck Mr. F!

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Today I'm sharing the card that I made for Dominick's band director.  Dominick graduated and the teacher retired in the same year so he wanted to give him a goodbye and good luck card.

I printed the verse from the internet and cut the instrument from part of the paper that I didn't use on the card.

Dance teacher thank you card

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Today I'm sharing card number 5 in my dance teacher thank you series.
This card was for Miss Samantha.  I don't know her personally and Makena's never had her as a teacher so I just went with a very girly, feminine theme since she always has on a dress and is "made up."

The dancer image was made from a Quickutz die.  The music notes are a Memory Box (Virtuoso) die.  The "From the heart" verse is from EVERY DAY PHRASES from I Brake For Stamps.

Tap dance teacher thank you card

Hello and happy Monday!
Today I'm sharing a card that I made for one of my daughter's dance teachers.
The competition moms had asked me to make 8 of them in total. (this is number 3 or 4 that I've shared so far)  These were such fun cards to make because being dance themed and for women I got to use lots of sparkle, flowers and bling!  My favorite things!

This was Miss Becky's card.
She teaches tap so that's why I went with the silhouette of a tap dancer.

The verse on the top is a chipboard die cut.  The "From the heart" and "You are so special" (on the inside) phrases are from I Brake For Stamps and are from a sheet called EVERY DAY PHRASES.

I went over the dancer's body in black stickles.
It looked really cool in person.

Becky's style is pretty bold so I went with lots of bright colors and patterns.
She also is a music major and that's where her true passion lies so I added the music notes for that reason.

Welcome Annalee

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a sort of unusual baby card.  Our band director at school who is also in a band is expecting his first baby.  I wanted to do a music themed card to represent his love of music and the name he and his wife picked out...Annalee like the song by Levon Helm.  Here's the link if you're interested.  It's a very pretty song.

I've used the adorable Little Sprout #4317.

I know it's not your typical baby girl card but that's one of the most wonderful thing about being a card maker.  You can customize your card ANY way you want to suit the recipient.  I defy you to find a more appropriate card for him in any store!

(Copic Colors: RV00, RV10, RV21, R81, E50, E51, E93, W3, W5)

She's here!!
Notice what daddy put in her crib for one of her first pictures...

I Brake For Pianos!

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing a birthday card with you. I sell a lot of my cards and the two biggest requests that I get are birthday and sympathy.

I love Pinterest and find a lot of inspiration on there.  I recently came across THIS card and thought I'd like to make it my own.

I used 5 different I Brake For Stamps images/verses on the card.

Here is the back side of the music insert.
This is where you can personalize it.

Dance like no one's watching...

I felt like making a purple card yesterday. I know that probably sounds strange
but that's how this card started. I flipped through my index book of all my
Art Impressions stamps and thought the girlfriends would look good in purple.

I paper-pieced their leotards and colored the rest of them
with Copic markers.
The image and verses are from a set called
Dancers set of 4.
(they're also sold separately if you prefer)

Here's a picture of the inside
and don't forget about the challenge at Art Impressions
challenge blog right now.  This week it's all about
anything relating to fitness, workouts or dieting.

Tools & accessories...

EK Success music border punch

They say it's your birthday!

I had a request for a Beatles birthday card and I'm so glad because this was SO much fun to make!  All of the images are just clip art that I printed.  The only stamping is the phrase inside which is from Stampin' Up.

The record and label were separate.  I found the birthday label and cut it out to fit on a record from another piece of clip art.

Inside I used some individual shots and a one of Ringo at his drums.

I've entered this card in the following challenges:

Card makings:
Clip art
Cuttlebug embossing folder
EK Success: Le Symphony border punch
Spellbinders: Label One, Snowflake Pendant (inside of record label)
Stampin' Up: Birthday Sentiment, Taken with Teal paper & Ink
