This IS my happy face! from Art Impressions

 Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing my Mrs. Mask card.
I work in an elementary school and we are once again required to wear
masks while in school. My coworker and I have a "deal."  She makes me
masks and I make her cards.  We swap every month or so.

It's a win/win situation!

For my card I've used 5405 – Mrs. Set.

I have a mask for every outfit and holiday thanks to her.
It's not how I love going to work but if we must...She keeps me
in style!
The Mrs. Set is part of the new Hats Off series at Art Impressions.
I just love this mix and match group of stamps.

I Brake for Crazy Times!

 Hello and happy Saturday!

As some of you may know, I work in an elementary school. We're currently in session 5 days a week with 80% of the students opting for in person learning. The rest are at home and "zooming" in for instruction.

It's been a wild and crazy year and as I was flipping through my IBFS index book I came across this set...Clueless Set.  It can also be found on a sheet with some other fun sets HERE.

I'm pretty sure there's no better sentiment to wrap up the 2020 school year than this verse!!

I fussy cut the image because for this particular card I didn't want the wings and large horns.  I placed it on the counter of our office with a note that said how proud I was to work with such an amazing group of people.

The little flowers are from MS91.

For all the male Doctors and Nurses!

Hello and happy Thursday!
For the last several months since Covid began I've been making cards to send to front line workers, people who were ill and people living on their own with no local family.

I know everyone focused on nurses as the front line workers but I also know a couple doctors and physicians assistants that were putting in tons of hours as well.
I'm NOT a sexist person and don't want it to be taken this way since my doctor card is a man but all of them that I know are men.  I know there are MANY fabulous female doctors out there too!

This card would also be great for a male nurse...I'm proud to know some of them too!

Thank you to ALL the healthcare workers out there!
You matter so much to all of us!

Thank you nurses!

Hello and happy Wednesday!
Today I'm sharing a card that I made a while back for some front line workers.

During the worst of the Covid outbreak I sent many cards to shut ins, sick people and front line workers like nurses and postal workers who were all working above and beyond for us while a lot of us stayed home with our families. Thank you to all of them.

Cards for Kindness with Art Impressions and Scrapbook.com

Hello Ai fans!
The next two weeks Art Impressions is pairing with Scrapbook.com for their Cards for Kindness initiative.  This is something that's very important to me.  Since the Covid quarantine began I have made 66 cards (including these) to send to people that I've never met.

Here's How it Works

1. You send your handmade cards (blank inside - with no
personal message) to Scrapbook.com.
2. We organize and distribute the cards to cancer foundations,
hospitals, shelters, retirement homes, children's homes
and other organizations in need.
3. The cards are used by nurses, doctors, staff members,
counselors, parents and volunteers who add handwritten
messages of encouragement and love before giving them
to patients, children and other people in need.
For additional information, visit www.scrapbook.com/kindness

I made 12 total in 4 different versions. You need to make a minimum of 10 when you send them.  They can be one design or all different...just at least 10 total.

Check back in a coupe of weeks and you'll see another set of 4 cards I'm sending in with these.  These seemed feminine to me so I made 4 using the Ai Lighthouse Circlet that would be appropriate for men.

If you're able to help out so many people will be cheered by your work!

Sending smiles!

Hello Ai fans!

As you know I've been making cards to thank essential workers during the Covid quarantine.  This time around it was postal workers.

I made a few copies...one for my postman, one for our local post office and one for my sister's friend who is a postal worker.  She said they were swamped and working so much overtime that he rarely saw his family.

The doors on the mailbox open to reveal all the mail!
Also, the flag goes up and down.

Here's the inside.

This is the second version that I made.
Some of the letters are from 5181 – Happy Mailbox Cubbies.

The thank you verse is from the 5102 – Succulents Set.

YOU DID it! Happy Graduation!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing the graduation card that I made for my nephew.
He graduated from Oswego last month.  They unfortunately didn't have a ceremony but my sister arranged for a drive-by parade for him that he really enjoyed!

I used the set called 5277 – Graduation Set.

Oswego's colors are green and gold so that's how I chose my color pallete.

Here he is!  He worked so hard and we're really proud!
He received his Bachelors in Broadcasting and Mass Communication with a minor in Sports Studies.

I decorated the inside with another image from the set as well as another sentiment.

I made a similar second version to keep on hand.

The owl and You Did it! were cut using
The 2020 is framed with 5133 – Flag Double Stitched Dies.

Copics used:

Send my kids back to school!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a Covid card.  I've been making tons of cards for people who are in the medical profession, people who are in essential jobs like postal workers and people who are alone.

This one is for all the moms!  Moms who are working from home and also needing to help home school their kids.  Moms who are teachers and also trying to deal with their own kids.  Moms who are stay at home moms and are just not loving having their kids home 24-7 with NO outlet! lol!

I used Madge and a little image from the Teachers Rule Work and Play Set.
I just printed the text on my computer.  How many of you out there can relate to this?  My kids are both in college and the online learning has been a challenge but they're making it work.  I can't say that I hate having them home more!

In N.Y. we were supposed to be in school for 3 more weeks but that didn't happen.  It's been a roller coaster of emotions for me but, this too, shall pass.  I think if this has taught us anything it's to appreciate what we have.

Stained Glass Sympathy

Hello and happy Monday!

I'm a couple days behind in my post.  I usually post on Saturday but I got side-tracked this past week.  I had a card started for my post only to find out the my husband's boss lost his father to Corona Virus last Monday.  Now I needed a sympathy card.  I switched gears which delayed me a couple of days.  I made this for his boss and his family.

I used STAINED GLASS FLORAL CIRCLE to make their card.
It's part of the Stained Glass series at IBFS.

Two days before his father passed away my husband's boss found out that he and his wife both have the disease as well.  They thought they were doing fine but his wife has since been admitted to the hospital. It's been a rough week for this family.  I feel like I should get another card out to them soon.

Hope you're all staying healthy and finding a little extra time to craft.  Every dark cloud has a silver lining right?

Don't forget...you can always save 10% off your order when you use my coupon code...   SAVE10RENEE   ...it never expires and can be used over and over again!

Proud Nurse

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing another card that I made for all the medical workers on the front lines.  I've been sending cards to nurses, I.C.U.s etc.

I love the look on this poor guy's face!
He's from the set SC0681 – Get Well.
The nurse is from 4899 – Proud Nurse Set.

I used a couple more stamps from the Get Well set on the inside.

I had time to make two copies of this card.  I've got so many people on my list that it's gotten difficult to keep up.  Not all are healthcare workers. I also have a very large list from our local Elks and from friends and family.  People who are all alone, sick or elderly.  My craft room has never been so busy!
