Happy 3rd birthday!

Hello and happy Friday!

I hope you are all well.  Today I'm sharing a card that was a request from a friend.  They were going to a birthday party and the little boy LOVES the movie Cars. I didn't have any stamps so I used images that I printed and some dies to complete it.

The road was made using THIS die from Technique Tuesday.
The verse is a really old verse from Stampin' Up.

And...she's off!

Hello and happy Tuesday!

A few weeks ago we took our daughter to college.  She's an incoming sophomore but a transfer student so this was a new school for her. I wanted to make her feel more at home so I made her a card to find as she was unpacking her totes.

She drives a little blue bug so I thought she'd get a kick out of this die.
The stamps are from a very old Stampin' Up set called Travel Time.  Her current favorite color is lavender so I used some purple flowers to embellish it.

I used various clear stamps and a teacher verse from Inkadinkadoo on the inside.
She wants to be a high school art teacher.

Happy 16th Birthday!

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for my nephew's upcoming 16th birthday.
I got the idea from this cake I found.

Gotta say...I'm a little nervous about him driving!
The key was made with a Spellbinders die and circle punches.  The letters were all cut from different sizzix letter dies.

Happy Birthday Devon!
Love Aunt 'Ne.

Yippy!!

Good news!  I get my new car tomorrow!  Well, new to me...it's a 2008 but only has 29,000 miles on it.  The people where we bought it were so wonderful to work with.  I will highly recommend them to people in my area.   Here's a "stock photo" of what I'm getting.  Heated leather seats, sunroof, all-wheel drive.  I'm so
excited!  Can't wait for Makena's dance competition to be over so I can pick it up!

A couple more bear photos from some co-workers.  No sightings since the other day.

There were about a dozen kids outside on the playground at the time but
the aides quickly and quietly escorted them back inside.

Happy Birthday Makena

My daughter turns 10 today and we had such a great day!  We started out by going shopping with some of the money that family members had sent her.  Then I surprised her by taking her to get a new keyboard.  She has a kiddie keyboard but we thought she was ready for a real one.  She couldn't have been more excited!  For dinner she picked one of her favorite Italian restaurants and then we came home and went for a night time swim in the new pool.  She has had a fascination with peace signs and punch bugs lately so most of her gifts (earrings, necklace, shirt) had a peace sign on them.  For her card I happened to find this old die cut in a bin with some stickers that I never use.  It was perfect for her.  I used a few other die cuts... sizzix small cloud for clouds and leaves and sizzix bare tree.  The grass was done with a Martha Stewart punch.  She loved it!
