MARLEY FILM 2012
Dirigida por Kevin MacDonald (El último rey de Escocia, State of Play), es un documental sobre la vida, la música y el legado del legendario cantante jamaiquino, compositor y músico de Marley, Bob. La película se estrenó en el Festival de Cine de Berlín 2012 y que llegará a SXSW Festival que se desarrollará del 8 hasta 13 marzo 2012 en Austin, Texas.
Es el primer largometraje apoyado por la familia de Marley, así como desde hace mucho tiempo la leyenda de la música de etiqueta de cabeza de Chris Blackwell, que debe hacer para la mirada más detallada a su vida sin embargo, como se deduce "que el músico, revolucionario y la leyenda desde sus primeros días de su ascenso al estrellato internacional "con material inedito, fotos de archivo y actuaciones increíbles y entrevistas con sus familiares, amigos y compañeros de banda. Blackwell es productor ejecutivo junto con el hijo de Marley, Ziggy.

Bob Marley named second most popular Facebook celebrity in 2011
Legendary Reggae musician, the late great Bob Marley has been named the second most popular artiste via social media outlet, Facebook, according to statistics.
The website, entertainmentwise.com made the announcement earlier this week; placing Marley one place behind Barbadian pop sensation, Rihanna. The placements were determined though combine tallies of prominence in the media, profile interests and the number of Facebook “likes.” Both artistes earned over 47 million “likes” on Facebook's Most Talked About Artist lists.
Other artiste who featured in the top ten on Facebook’s Most Talked About Artist drew mass interest this year included Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Usher and David Guetta.
Meanwhile, Rihanna’s single, We Found Love featuring Calvin Harris won the website’s award for most listened to song of 2011.
Bob Marley has several Facebook pages in his honor to date given the impact his music had internationally. He’s known for several classics such as One Love, Natural Mystic, Could You Be Love amongst a plethora of others.

En febrero del 2011 se pondrá a la venta un álbum con un concierto grabado en septiembre de 1980.
En septiembre de 1980, Bob Marley dio su último concierto en el Stanley Theatre de Pittsburgh. Pocos meses después, el artista moría de cáncer.
Ahora, aquel concierto se publicará, el 1 de febrero del próximo año, en doble CD y en triple álbum de vinilo. Su título será Live Forever: The Stanley Theatre, Pittsburgh, PA, September 23, 1980 y contendrá estas canciones:
