Sow Kindness - for the Layout Laissez-Faire Contest at Digitals

This is the first time I've entered this contest, Layout Laissez-Faire at Digitals. Diana Burton hosts it, she gives you three sets of photos and you choose one or more and then create something. I used an action from PanosFX called B&Big Picture to make the photo into all the small photos. I love this action, it has so many steps I doubt I could ever create it on my own but to hit the button and watch it work is just plain magic. Best of all it's free! The kit is Dea Spina's After You, at Digitals. The word art is Sue Jones. Maybe this will be for my 'someday' table top book of just thoughts.

Tooting My Own Horn!

Stacey Kluczny at 3Scrapateers has asked to use my page Winters at Home in their next EZine issue (available December 1st). How exciting! It's so nice to have your peers like something that you enjoyed making. This pictures is so special, I didn't even realize I had it until I was recently scanning old photos into the pc and ran across it. This was taken out home on Bunker Hill. There are so few snowstorms like this one anymore. Dustings are more like it now. I just loved the pristine softness of the snow here and just the glimpse of the house. Always makes my heart feel happy to look at photos from home.

I have Joyce deJonge to thank for her Tenderness kit which I used here and Sue Jones for her Children's Word Art. Both Sue and Joyce sell thier wares at Digitals, please check them out they have someone wonderful items for sale.

First Day!

Journaling reads:
Here you are Pyper with Mommy holding your hand off to school
for your very first day of Kindergarten.
I love this look on your face, like “It’s ok I’m ready to go!”
What fun you’ll have now learning all these new things,
making friends and gathering a little more independence.
It’s hard to see you this big because right now you’re our baby
and we’d like to keep you that way for a little longer.
But, no matter what we want you’re ready, ready to learn all you can.
You’re such a smart little whip that I’m sure school will be a fun time for you.
I love to listen to you tell me all about your day when I call you on the phone because you sound so grown up for a five year old. Don’t change too fast little one, we aren't ready for it yet, even if you are!

I'm on Sue Jones CT team for the Digitals Store for the month of October. Wow I feel like a kid in the candy store! Sue does wonderful word art, which is something I really love to use. This one from her Children's Wordart which was perfect for this picture of Pyper. I really liked the shades of pink in her Tatiana Papers and Elements kits. These are all available at Digitals if you're interested.
