Wishing You a Very Happy Birthday

Whenever I'm on the hunt for the perfect sentiment for my cards, I enjoy looking to Bonnie Garby Designs.  They carry so many great sentiments that you're sure to find the right wording for your next card.  You'll LOVE all the wonderful digital stamps and images you find at Bonnie Garby Designs.  Once those cards start coming together (and even during the process), you'll also find the perfect Adhesives, Ribbons and goodies to adorn those cards with the perfect colors, widths and textures of most every type of spooled trim you can imagine when you shop at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This Birthday card is a great combination of both.
I used basic white cardstock and a basic robin's egg cardstock.  I ran the robin's egg cardstock through the Sizzix using the Tim Holtz Doily Embossing Folder.  The wonderful texture that this particular embossing folder gives is truly lovely.  I used a Crimped Frame Die to cut the sentiment which can be found in the Birthday Greeting 2 Stamp Set from Bonnie Garby Designs.  What a perfect matching.
The pretty floral image is found in the Floral Cluster Spring Pansies Stamp Set.  I painted the image with oxide inks and cut the floral image and the sprigs using the coordinating Floral Cluster & Sprigs Dies.  Everything is attached using Scor-Tape to hold it all securely in place.  The pretty bow I added was tied with Robin's Egg Wrinkle Ribbon and was topped with Black Baker's Twine, some Pink Double Head Stamens and a pretty Ivory Open Rose.
In case you haven't the BIG NEWS yet, Really Reasonable Ribbon is going out of business.  However, there's still a lot of great SHOPPING waiting for you at DISCOUNTED prices.  Time to stock up, right?  May I suggest stocking up on things like Adhesives, Baker's Twine, Mulberry Flowers and, of course, lots of fabulous RIBBONS.  We're still OPEN and here to help you.  Please stop by again soon.  We love having you visit us.
Be blessed, be kind, be happy, and BUY RIBBONS!!

Blessings,
Karen

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

Don't you just love that song?  I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas.  It took on a whole new meaning for me in 1989 when my husband and I (along with our then 3-year-old daughter) moved from Northern  Minnesota to the deserts of Nevada.  Unless I'm back "home" at my parents' for Christmas, I can literally only dream of having a white Christmas.  This year appears to be turning out that way, and I'm not going to complain.  When I decided to create this card, I knew that Really Reasonable Ribbon would have the perfect trims, and Bonnie Garby Designs would have the perfect sentiment.
I used a black cardstock base, and some older Crate Paper patterned papers to create my colorful background.  The darling sentiment is found in the Christmas Sentiments 2 Stamp Set at Bonnie Garby Designs.  Each layer adds more warmth and charm.  But I couldn't stop there.  Oh, no!  I had to add a pretty bow, of course.
Oh, wait!  Did I mention that there's a BIG SALE taking place NOW at Really Reasonable Ribbon?  Yes!  You can save using these codes.  The more you buy, the more you save.
Please use the codes below in the promotional code area on the first page of checkout.
The codes are good now through midnight eastern time on Tuesday 10/14/2025.

Order subtotals $50.00 and up SAVE 25% using code COLUMBUS25.
The sale code is good on everything including SALE items!
I bundled up some Ivory Burlap String and used a small piece of Scor-Tape to attach the string and a bow tied with Bay Leaf Seam Binding.  I used another small piece of Scor-Tape to top my bow with a Small Pink Open Rose, and then I tucked in two pretty stick pins.  Three little sequins were the finishing touch to this card.   Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect trims for every project.
There's always lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and that's also where you'll stay up-to-date about special sales and promotions.  And don't forget to visit Bonnie Garby Designs for lots of great sentiments.  Thanks for visiting, and happy crafting.

Winter Wishes

What are your Winter Wishes?  Today I'm sharing a card that I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon that showcases a fabulous NEW stamp set and some lovely trims as well as some of MY Winter Wishes.  To be perfectly honest with you, my "Winter Wishes" are much the same as my general year-round wishes.  While I love getting new crafty items (stamps, dies and ribbons), spending time with family, and enjoying the Holidays; my priorities and wishes will always remain centered around my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I used a cream cardstock base and I layered it with several fun patterned papers from the Bundled Up collection by Crate Paper.  I cut the Winter Wishes tag and added some FABULOUS Baker's Twine at the top including Solid Red Baker's TwineSolid Teal Bakers Twine and Solid Ivory Baker's Twine.  Those of you who know me best are aware that I LOVE Baker's Twine for it's multi-purpose usefulness and the fact that it comes in many beautiful colors and costs just ten cents ($0.10) per yard.
On the Crate Paper tag, I stamped some of my "Winter Wishes" using a FUN NEW stamp set from Creative Worship called Wordfetti Mash-Up.  I stamped the various words/phrases in different colors of ink.  I used lots of Scor-Tape Adhesive to secure all my papers securely in place.  This is an awesome Adhesive, and it comes it various widths to accommodate various projects.  I also added a length of 1/2" Robin's Egg Wrinkle Ribbon to my card, and I topped that with another length of Solid Red Baker's Twine and a sweet 2-Tone Light Turquoise Open Rose.
Thanks so much for visiting me today.  It's always a treat to have you stop by and say hello.  I appreciate your comments, questions, and of course, your support of Really Reasonable Ribbon - the best ribbon shop out there (in my humble opinion).  Happy crafting, everyone!

Be Grateful, Be Happy and Be Blessed

At Really Reasonable Ribbon, you'll always find all the perfect ribbons, trims, twines and laces for sure.  But did you know that Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries useful crafting essentials such as Adhesives3-D Foam TabsMulberry FlowersEmbellishments and much more.  If you haven't done so lately, please take a minute or two and stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to look around.  You just might want to treat yourself.
Today I'm sharing a fun glassine bag project.  I decorated the glassine bag using patterned papers, stickers and ephemera from Carta Bella's sweet Spring Market line.  I used lots of Scor-Tape Adhesive to hold everything securely in place.  Before all the papers were in place, I used the Typewriter Text Background Stamp to create the fun background you see.
Underneath the watering can sticker (on glassine bag) as well as at the top left of my card, you'll see some bundled Ivory Burlap String and Black Burlap String.  This is another fabulous trim that comes in oodles of different colors and costs just ten cents per yard.  FAB!  On top of the Ivory Burlap String and Black Burlap String on my card, I added three Open Roses.
I also made a matching bookmark for my card.  I used the same Carta Bella goodies including the stickers, chipboard sentiment, etc.  Again, lots of fabulous Scor-Tape holds everything together.  I also did some machine stitching on my card.  The sweet sentiment is from Bonnie Garby Designs and is one of so many great digital sets available in her sweet Etsy Shop.  The "Be" die-cut is from Simon Says Stamp, and the words "happy" and "be blessed" as well as the & die-cut are from Creative Worship.
I used more of the fabulous Solid Baker's Twines on the top of my tag.  Baker's Twine is the perfect trim for adding a matching bookmark.  It comes in both stripes and solids and also comes in so many fabulous colors.  I'm pretty sure I covered everything you see here. but feel free to ask if you have any questions.  Thanks so much for visiting and be sure to catch all the inspiration and up-to-date information right here on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog

The Night Before Christmas

Ribbons are always a fabulous touch.  Ribbons, Twines and Trims can be used for SO many different crafting purposes.  And in my humble opinion, Really Reasonable Ribbon is truly the BEST place to find the variety of colors, widths, designs, styles and types of trims for all your crafting needs.  It's not often that I don't include some type of trim on my cards.  However......did you know that Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries essential items like Adhesives and 3-D Foam Tabs?  They really have a vast variety of crafting products.
I used basic cream cardstock for the base of my card.  I layered that with patterned papers from my stash including some old October Afternoon papers, stickers and an ephemera card.  I tied some rather long lengths of Baker's Twine around my card and tied a bow with it.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries both Solid and Striped Baker's Twines.  On this card, I used Cherry Baker's Twine and Solid Mint Baker's Twine to match my papers.
I used lots of fabulous Scor-Tape Adhesive to attach everything and hold it securely in place.  I used a cute die-cut from Paper Sweeties to cut my "Christmas cookie for Santa".  I cut it out of cardboard, and it's layered with 3-D Foam Tabs, and then the center is filled with red glitter to represent jelly or frosting in the center of the cookie.  The tiny iced coffee image is also very old, and it's from V's Sweet Ideas.  Do you get it?  The Night Before Christmas....I'm eating cookies and drinking coffee.  LOL
You can find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and that's where you'll also stay up-to-date about special sales and promotions taking place in the RRR Store.  You'll always find the best selection of Ribbons, Trims, Twines, Adhesives, Embellishments, Mulberry Flowers and much more at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  There's also still time to SAVE during the Labor Day SALE.  Details are here on the Blog (just below this post).  Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek and say hello.  I'm always grateful.

Blessings,

As For Me and My House

When I was younger, of course, I had no idea who I would marry or where we would live, etc.  I did, however, know for sure from a very young age that I would always be part of a family that loves the Lord and lives for Him.  When I first married my husband in 1985, we were just 19 years old.  We had much to learn about life.  But praise God, we knew that our household would always serve and honor the Lord.  This card and sweet sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs really celebrate that concept.
This card matches the Lord is My Shepherd card I posted a couple of days ago.  You could say that they're a set, I guess.  I used kraft cardstock and created a fun fold with a closure that opens to reveal a fun inside of the card.  The patterned papers I used are from the Colonial Americana 6x6 Paper Pad by Whimsy Stamps.  The little house I cut uses wool felt, patterned papers, a piece of Solid Red Baker's Twine and a very old die set from Papertrey Ink.
The sentiment I used can be found in the Scriptural Quotes Digital Stamp Bundle which is from Bonnie Garby Designs.  I added the sentiment to the tab enclosure that I created earlier in the process.  I attached the sentiment using Scor-Tape.  We all need Adhesives like Scor-Tape and 3-D Foam Tabs, so why not grab them from Really Reasonable Ribbon?
You'll always find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and lots of great shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Thanks so much for visiting to take a quick peek at this sweet little card wrapped with Burlap String.  There are so many great trims (and SO much more) waiting for you at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Happy crafting!

Blessings,
Karen

The Lord is My Shepherd

There's nothing like a beautiful Bible scripture or lovely sentiment to place on your card.  While we all love our stamps, they can get expensive.  By purchasing a simple bundle of digital stamps, you can easily and inexpensively expand your collection of sentiments and scriptures.  One really great place to buy those awesome digital stamps is Bonnie Garby Designs.  I love her digital stamps.  And of course, you're always sure to find the perfect ribbons, trims and twines at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I used a light kraft cardstock and patterned papers from Whimsy Stamps.  I layered my papers and cut some smaller squares using a postage die cut from Papertrey Ink.  I placed the papers and random squares of paper around my card using lots of Scor-Tape to hold everything securely in place.  I printed my sentiment and placed it on 3-D Foam Tabs to raise it.  As I mentioned, the sentiment is from Bonnie Garby Designs and can be found in the Scriptural Quotes Digital Stamp Bundle.
I took a very long length of Natural Burlap String and wrapped it around my card several times, tying it into a bow on the front of my card.  I absolutely LOVE Burlap String.  It's such a fabulous trim, it comes it so many great colors, and it's just TEN CENTS per yard.  One person who visits Really Reasonable Ribbon to see all their fabulous trims and leaves me a message here on this post telling me their favorite color of Burlap String will WIN a 10-yard bundle of Burlap String from me.  I will post the lucky winner's name in my next RRR blog post.
The sweet little sheep I added were created using cream and brown wool felt and were cut using the super cute Primitive Sheep Die Cuts from Whimsy Stamps.   They're just so sweet, and I thought they really went well with the sentiment.  Please be sure to stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to do some shopping for Adhesives, Mulberry Flowers, and ribbons/trims galore.  Thanks so much for visiting me.

Karen

Oh Happy Day

Hi, everyone!  It's your ribbon-loving friend, Karen here today.  When I start creating any type of card or project, one thing I can always count on is that Really Reasonable Ribbon will have the perfect color, design, width, etc. of ribbon or trim that will work with it.  That's because they carry adornment of every kind in so many great styles and colors, widths and choices.  It makes it the FUN part of adorning our projects.  Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries great items like Scor-Tape and other AdhesivesEmbellishmentsMulberry Flowers and much more.
I don't often use a lot of yellow; but like I mentioned already, Really Reasonable Ribbon carries the perfect colors every time.  I challenge you to find a color that doesn't have a matching trim at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Seriously.  I used some older patterned papers from my stash and attached everything securely using Scor-Tape.  The little sentiment is from an Echo Park Spring Market stamp set.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
Across the middle of my card, I ran lengths of Moss/Cream Gingham Ribbon and the Maize Gingham Ribbon which are secured with pieces of Scor-Tape.  The Button card was stamped using an older stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  It's topped with some pretty Miniature Yellow Sweetheart Blossoms, a Pastel Green Apple BlossomSolid Mint Baker's Twine and Double Head Stamens.
Be sure to check all the amazing inspiration here on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and stay up-to-date about special sales and promotions.  We're sure grateful for your visit here today, and we all hope you're having a creative week.  Thanks so much and happy crafting, everyone.

Proud To Be an American

Just one more day until we celebrate Independence Day here in the United States of America.  The 4th of July is a special day for our country, and it's an opportunity for each of us to thank God for all those who have served this great country to give us the freedoms and rights we enjoy today.  If we don't humble ourselves before God and start appreciating our country, all those rights and freedoms can be taken from us.  Be educated, friends.  America, as we now know and enjoy it, is worth protecting.  Let's celebrate our great country together and join in prayer for the future of our great country.  We truly are a blessed nation.
This simple patriotic card was created using a piece of watercolor paper that I rubbed with Tim Holtz crayons and then rubbed with my finger and a bit of water to "smudge" the colors in an attempt to create a flag in the background.  I used this as my backdrop and then cut the flag design using the Eyelet Rectangle Dies from Pretty Pink Posh.  I used the pierced holes created by this die-cut to add some Cherry Baker's Twine giving my border a POP of color.  My paper layers are held together using Scor-Tape.
I used the Patriotic Sentiment Stamp Set from Stamp Simply on my card.  This is a very simple card, but I wanted to show you all how quick and easy it is to create a fun card using Baker's Twine or other trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon to add accent and color to any project.  The Scor-Tape and 3-D Foam Tabs are everyday essentials for me (and for most crafters).  If you don't have a regular place to purchase your Adhesives - such as Scor-Tape and 3-D Foam Tabs, I hope you'll think of Really Reasonable Ribbon next time you need them.
I love how using 3-D Foam Tabs can give your cards added layers of paper that provide textures and charm like nothing else can do.  Incorporating fabrics, textiles, cardboard, etc. is always a cool touch; and Scor-Tape from Really Reasonable Ribbon will hold it all securely in place.  I hope my patriotic card today was a blessing and an inspiration to you, and all of us here at RRR wish you and your family a happy and blessed 4th of July.

Spread happiness,
Karen

Two Hearts, One Love

Hello, everyone!  It's your ribbon-loving friend, Karen Letchworth, posting today.  It's time for me to share another fun card showcasing some of the (many) awesome products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Making cards with ribbons, trims and twines has always been something I enjoy.  I like the textures and dimensions that they add to our cards, tags and projects.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries every style ribbon, every width, every color and every choice imaginable.  They also carry items like Adhesives, Embellishments, Flowers and much more.
I used white cardstock and layered it with a pretty Kaiser Craft (Miss Betty) patterned paper.   To be honest with you all, I planned to machine stitch the edges of this card; but the bobbin was empty, and I was too lazy to refill it.  I placed half of a small white doily on the left side of my card.  I used lots of the fabulous Adhesive called Scor-Tape to attach all the papers and goodies securely in place.  The sentiment I used is from Bonnie Garby Designs and can be found in their Wedding Digital Stamp Bundle.
I attached a length of the beautiful Vivid Pink Seam Binding on the left side of my card covering the edge of the doily.  There are many lovely colors of Seam Binding, and it's very affordable at just 30 cents per yard.  You'll always find the perfect color(s) for every project.  On top of the Seam Binding bow, I added some Blueberry Baker's TwineWhite Metallic Iridescent String, two Wild Orchid 15mm Green Mulberry Leaves, and a lovely Ivory Open Rose.  I also strung the White Metallic Iridescent String around my sentiment, etc.
Thanks so much for visiting me here today, friends.  Your stops here at my blog always mean a lot to me, and I truly appreciate the relationships I've made with so many of you.  I love hearing your thoughts and input.  Oh, and be sure to come play along at Word Art Wednesday and other fun challenges.  You can always visit us here on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog for lots of great inspiration, too.  Happy crafting..... and add some RIBBONS!

It's A Wonderful Day

Welcome by today, everyone.  It's your friend, Karen Letchworth posting today and I'm so glad you're here to visit us as I share a sweet card that's adorned with ribbons and tidbits from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It's an otherwise quick and easy card to create, but the trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon just take it to the next level in my humble opinion.  I'd love to hear your thoughts on this card.
I used basic white cardstock for the base and the top layer.  The top white piece was cut using a cool die called the A2 Lattice Die from Whimsy Stamps.  Once I attached everything, it was time for the FUN stuff.  I ran a piece of pretty Danish Blue Seam Binding across my card and used that to tie a double bow.  I also tucked in some bundled Ivory Burlap StringLight Blue Burlap String, two sizes of (White) Mulberry Leaves, some Double Head Stamens, and it's all topped with some Light Blue Sweetheart Blossoms.  I also tucked in a couple of stick pins for accent.
The sentiment and small heart are from Carta Bella's Spring Market Stamp Set.  I used the Fishtail Banner Die from Stamp Simply to stamp it on.  It's raised up using 3-D White Foam Tabs.  EVERYBODY NEEDS 3-D Foam Tabs and Scor-Tape Adhesive.  Just saying!  The patterned paper underneath the white cardstock is from the Fabulous Florals Paper Pack by Whimsy Stamps.  The really cool thing is this....no matter what COLOR I had chosen to make this (or any other) card, I know that I can always find the perfect color trims and more at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Thanks again for visiting us here today.  Stay creative and be sure to stop here at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog again soon and often to find lots of great inspiration.  You'll always find the most amazing AdhesivesFlowers, ribbons, trims and more at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  We're grateful for YOU and for your visits, comments, RRR Orders and your friendship.  We all wish you an incredibly creative and wonderful week.

Blessings,
Karen

Bundle of Joy - It's a Boy

Today it's me, Karen Letchworth, posting here for Really Reasonable Ribbon, and it's always a favorite for me creating with their wonderful products.  While I love making cards all the time, there's just something about adding trims, twines and ribbons to my cards.  Of course, Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries basic essentials such as AdhesivesEmbellishments and Mulberry Flowers.  I always enjoy it.
I used black cardstock for the base of my card, and I layered it with patterned papers from a line called Oh Baby by Simply Stories.  This is definitely a much older line from my stash.  All the patterned papers and stickers are from this Oh Baby line.  I used a die-cut from The Greetery to cut the small postage stamp spots.
I used 3-D Foam Tabs for all the pieces that are raised, and I used Scor-Tape to adhere all the things that are flat (papers, stickers, etc.).  In addition to all the fabulous trims of every color, width and style you can image; Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries many crafting essentials.  You'll be pleasantly surprised just how many awesome products they carry.
I added some small Pearl Embellishments to my card and one of the tags.  There are lots of great Embellishments at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I added lots of Baker's Twine to my card and tags.  The card has several colors of Baker's Twine wrapped around it and tied into a bow.  Each tag has various colors of Baker's Twine at the top.
Here's another view of this card.  Below that, I'll share the close-up photo.  I just wanted you to be able to see how cute these papers and stickers are from the Simple Stories Oh Baby line.  The Scor-Tape and 3-D Foam Tabs help hold all the cute papers and stickers securely in place.  The Baker's Twine is the perfect cost-efficient trim.
As I mentioned, here's the super close-up photo.  I hope I haven't shared too many pictures.  LOL  I never feel like my photos show all the details of my cards.  I guess that's just how my mind works.  We've all heard that "we are our own worst enemy".  Right?  The papers are cute, the stickers and cute, and the trims just make it all even cuter.
Thanks again for your visit today.  We're always so grateful for you and we really hope that you have a blessed and creative week.  Any time you think of ribbons, twines and trims; we hope that you'll always think of Really Reasonable Ribbon.  And don't forget about all the fabulous essentials they carry as well.  You'll find inspiration here on the RRR Blog and lots of FUN shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Happy Birthday To You

Hi, friends!  It's Karen here today.  As you all know, it's always good to have lots of cute Birthday cards on hand.  We all need them.  Whether it's one for a kid, a man, woman, friend, or anyone else; there's always a perfect Birthday sentiment to be found at Bonnie Garby Designs and there's always a perfect trim to be found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The card I'm sharing today uses both, and they're the perfect combination (in my humble opinion).  They also make it quick and easy to create cute cards.
I used black cardstock for the base of my card and I layered it with patterned papers that are primarily from the Crate Paper line called Party Day.  I used these patterned papers to create my layered base including my sentiment which is from Bonnie Garby Designs and can be found in the Birthday Greetings 2 Digital Stamp Set.  All my paper layers are securely held together using pieces of Scor-Tape.
On the left-hand side of my card, I tied a pretty bow that includes a piece of Solid Yellow Baker's TwineSolid Red Baker's Twine and Green Apple Baker's Twine.  I know that I say this A LOT, but I really do LOVE Baker's Twine.  It comes in so many great colors including solids and stripes, it costs just TEN CENTS per yard, and it adds SO much to our cards, tags and projects.  I LOVE BAKER'S TWINE.💕
You can always find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and lots of great bargains and shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You won't want to miss out on grabbing basics like AdhesivesMulberry Paper Flowers and everything pretty.  Thanks so much for visiting here today.  I'm so grateful for you all.

Friends Make the World Beautiful

One of the many things I love about Really Reasonable Ribbon is that they carry such a wide variety of products that we all use.  One of top ones being Adhesives.  If you've never checked out Scor-Tape, I would highly suggest doing so.  I use Scor-Tape to secure so many different things to be products.  Including, as on this card, chipboard pieces, ribbons and more.  You're always certain to find many sweet things you'd love to tuck in your basket before checkout.
I started with white cardstock.  The patterned papers, stickers and chipboard ephemera are all Emma's Shoppe by Crate Paper.  The cool perforated and ripped Ripped Notebook Cover Plate Die is from Picket Fence.  I ran several colors of Solid Baker's Twine through the perforated edges to add color.  The other trim is 3/8" Swiss Dot Pearl Pink with Hot Pink Dots Grosgrain Ribbon.  The fabulous friendship sentiment used on my card is from Bonnie Garby Designs, and can be found in her lovely Friendship Digital Stamp Set.
It's always a treat to have you stop by my blog to have a look around; and to have you leave me a comment is just icing on top of an already unexpected and greatly appreciated blessing.  Layering papers and ribbons is always a nice combination.  I was very tempted to use some Lace on this card, but I know that inventory is running low on this lovely trim.
I also ran some Solid Natural Baker's Twine down the left side of my card and wrapped it around the papers.  I love the texture and depth that papers, stickers and trims (among other things) offer to our cards and projects.  My thought process is that they make things more interesting.  Why not head over to Really Reasonable Ribbon and see what's calling your name today.  You won't regret it (especially all that delicious Baker's Twine).  Thanks for visiting today.

Blessings,
Karen
