Hot Chocolate Shaker Card

Hot Chocolate Shaker Card by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon Photo 01

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Did you all have a wonderful Christmas?  Now that d January is peeping around the corner, I'm thinking of ways to warm up the winter months! Is there anything more delicious than a steaming cup of cocoa topped with swirls of whipped cream or gooey marshmallows?  Yum!

Once again, the December Ribbon Club Assortment was the perfect playmate for this festive card.  I created borders with the Fair Isle and Cross Stitch Zig Zag Satin Ribbons. Then I tied a loopy bow with the Silver Edged White Satin Ribbon and tucked it above the shaker frame.

To keep with the hot chocolate theme, I dressed up a packet of cocoa and tucked it into the inside pocket along with some other goodies.

Stitch up a quick bookmark and top it with the Snowflakes on Ink Blue Satin Ribbon.  Add a little sparkle with some Silver Metallic String.  A peppermint stick is the perfect stirrer for the hot chocolate.  Cookies and chocolate finish the ensemble off nicely!

Mmmmm...all this talk of cocoa and cookies makes me hungry!  I think I'll go heat up the kettle and enjoy a cup!

Bluefern Yuletide Sleigh Ride Christmas Card by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon Photo 01

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Let's go on a sleigh ride!  I've got the sleigh all decked out with beautiful ribbons from the RRR December Ribbon Club Assortment, so we can just bundle up and go!

TIP: Add texture and pattern to your card by layering Silver Edged Bluebird with Fair Isle Print on Ink Blue Satin Ribbons.  I like to use 1/2" and 1/4" Scor-Tape to attach my ribbons.  Then tie a big poufy bow to add the perfect finishing flourish.  Silver metallic string adds just the right pop of sparkle and shine to the card layout.

Here's a peek at the inside of this vintage style card.  I've added a hand stamped greeting and a lovely bit of pocket trim with more of the Fair Isle Satin.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing how I used the Ribbon Club this month.  Blue is my favorite color, so you'll be seeing lots of these ribbons from me!

Winter Birthday Wishes Card

Prima Christmas in the Country Winter Birthday Card by Kathy Clement Kathy by Design for Really Reasonable Ribbon Photo 01

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  I hope you all had a blessed and beautiful Christmas holiday.  It comes and goes so quickly, doesn't it?  The good news is, the ribbons in the December Ribbon Club Assortment work beautifully for winter birthday cards, too!

This bold check paper needed an alternate pattern to settle it down.  So I created borders with the 3/8" Bird Print Satin ribbon from the club.  It also helped to draw the eye to the framed image on the card front.

Do you see the gorgeous snowflake button at the top of the frame?  I tucked just a snippet of Silver Metallic Grosgrain Ribbon behind it to make it stand out.

Finally, a triple loop Black Houndstooth Bow anchored my flower cluster perfectly.  This is one of my "must have" ribbons.  It is always in my stash because it ties such gorgeous bows and it tends to go with any color palette or theme..

Here's a peek at the inside.  I created a little tea wallet from a 3x4 card.  Then I tucked a gift card wallet and a sentiment card in the pocket on the bottom.

I hope I've shared some ideas for using your December Ribbon Club Assortment on more than just Christmas cards.

Thanks for stopping by!

Evergreen Botanical Christmas Card Folio

Stamperia Winter Botanic by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Nothing says Christmas like freshly cut pine boughs.  Their fragrance and natural beauty are hallmarks of the holiday season.  So I was delighted to find some pine cone satin ribbon in my December Ribbon Club Assortment!  It inspired this lovely botanical Christmas card.

Really Reasonable Ribbon December Ribbon Club Assortment Stamperia Winter Botanic by Kathy Clement

I've used 3 of the gorgeous ribbons from the Club Assortment on this Stamperia Winter Botanic Christmas Card.  First, my bow cluster is made with  Tan Checkerboard Satin Ribbon.  The hue of this ribbon was a perfect match for the paper collection.  Then, to add pattern and texture to the card design, I layered 3/8" Pine Cone Satin Ribbon over 1/2" Brown/Cream Tartan Plaid Ribbon.  A pine cone satin bow cluster at the top helps to frame the card.

It's easy to turn this pretty card into a gift.  Just add a pocket and flap page to the interior.

I could not bring myself to cut this beautiful scene to fit inside my 5" x 7" card base.  The solution?  Simply score a flap on the right hand side.  Now I have a hand spot to tuck in a little chocolate treat!

The pocket on the bottom half of the card provides a great place to add a little gift card wallet and note card.  Since so many of us are mailing our gifts this year, it makes sense to turn the card into the gift!

How are you coming along with your Christmas preparations?  I have the house all decorated, but I'm still working to get my cards all done.  It's always a challenge to fit everything in during this busy season.  But remember to take time and enjoy the beauty, and make time to create something beautiful today.

A Beary Special Thanks Card

Hello everyone and Happy New Year to you all! Today I have a super darling card I designed using Really Reasonable Ribbon's beautiful flowers, ribbon, and supplies. It's so nice to be now creating in a new year, I'm loving it!

So for my card today I chose to use the beautiful ribbons from the December Ribbon Club Assortment.  I also used the beautiful lotus flowers in 2-tone baby pink for the main flower. Next I chose to use the pink cherry blossoms, mixed pink miniature sweetheart blossoms, and blue tone rose buds. I love all the flowers Bonnie carries over at the RRR shop!

Design papers I chose are from a paper stack for Christmas called Bundled Up! by Crate Paper, love it! For my darling stamps and dies I chose My Makers Movement stamps and coordinating dies, aren't they darling!? I did color them with Copic markers and the little sweet bear is holding a RRR heart embellishment, so cute!

Shabby Chic Ice Skates Greeting Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  I think every little girl dreams of being able to glide gracefully across the ice.  This shabby chic ice skates greeting card is as close to that experience as this old gal will ever get!  Even though I grew up in Vermont, ice skating was not a strong suit!  But that does not prevent me from enjoying these pretty ice skates adorned with gorgeous ribbons from the December Ribbon Club!

I love using ribbon to create a border on a greeting card.  Shell Print Aqua Satin over Mineral Ice Checkerboard Satin ribbon adds wonderful texture and shine to the layout of this card.  Tie a triple bow with the Aqua Shell Print Satin for a frosty finish!

Adding ribbon to the inside of a card is such a lovely surprise.  Mineral Ice Checkerboard Satin Ribbon serves as the closure for this little folio insert.

Here's a peek at the goodies tucked inside the folio.  These little card folios make great holiday gifts!

If you haven't taken a peek at the December Ribbon Club Assortment, you might want to because the Winter Carnival colors are  extra scrumptious this month!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Cookie Cutter Ornament

Hello Ribbon Lovers!  I am here to share a sweet ornament that you can easily create today to hang on your tree or use as a present topper to give someone special.
I used beautiful ribbons from the  December Ribbon Club Assortment, a Pearl Heart Ribbon Slider, Molly Lace Ribbon, Bakers Twine Metallic, crystal, vintage cookie cutter, assorted papers, quote and image.

I punched a hole in the top and bottom of the cookie cutter ornament.  Next I lined the inside, added the image, white corrugated paper, Molly Lace and quote.

Then using the Bakers Twine Metallic, I tied it through the crystal and attached it to the ornamnet.
Next, I added the bow, pearl slider and glued it into place.  Then I added another ribbon to make a hanger for the ornament.

I hope you enjoyed a fun and easy project you can create just in time for the holidays!

Cocoa and Cookies Recipe Book

Hi everyone, it's Teresa here to share with all of you a book that I designed to keep all the recipes that I am getting for my Christmas Eve party this year.  I found lots of recipes for fun things to do, a hot chocolate bar with lots of cookies and I needed something special to put them in right?

To make the book, I started with a pre-made one by Want2Scrap and then I decorated it with lots of stickers and other goodies by Basic Grey.  I love this adorable little snowman and his little hat. For the edges on the book, I chalked it up with a little white chalk ink to make it look like snow.  To give
it more dimension be sure and use lots of foam dots under the stickers.

And the best part was getting lots of ribbons from my Winter Wonderland set and tying them up on the rings on the outside to match.  I have lots of them on the inside too and it looks really, really cute.
There is lots more to do like getting all the recipes in that I want to use but that is half the fun of it.

Here is one of the inside pages that I did so that you can get the idea of how I did it.

Thanks for stopping over and don't forget to leave a comment to let us know how you like the ribbons this month and share what you did with us on the challenge this month!!
