Sending Holiday Cheer

I have absolutely loved my time on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Design Team.  Adding ribbons, trims and twines to my projects is just something that I enjoy.  It adds so much texture and color to our cards.  And, hey, you can't make tags and other things without trims.  They're rather essential in crafting.  Items like Baker's Twine and Burlap String are SUPER affordable, and SO versatile in crafting.  Now is a great time to stock up on some really AMAZING DISCOUNTS on ribbons, trims and twines (among many other great things) at Really Reasonable Ribbon during their BIG RETIREMENT SALE.
I used a deep forest green cardstock to cut my base using the Stitched Rectangle Dies from Creative Worship.  I used their Postage Stamp Cover Plate Die to cut the next layer from vintage sheet music.  I cut some red cardstock to cover two of the openings, and I stamped those using the fun Going Postal Stamp Set.  The sentiment is also from Creative Worship and can be found in the Holiday Cheer Stamp Set.
Like I tend to do rather often, I piled a lot on here.  I'll try to mention everything I used.  The small coffee cups are from V's Sweet Ideas, the "cookie" is from Paper Sweeties, the bobbin and holly leaves are from PTI.  My ribbon treatment includes lots of great Baker's Twine which is now just $0.75/yard.  WOW!  What a bargain!  You'll find so many AMAZING DISCOUNTS right now at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and you'll want to stock up before the best colors are gone.  SO pretty!
I also tucked in some delicious Cherry Baker's TwineSolid Red Baker's TwineIvory Burlap String and Iridescent String for a touch of shimmery sparkle.  Aren't all those wonderful textures just so cool?  I used 3-D Foam Tabs to raise up the dimensional items a bit.  Grab these awesome items now at bargain prices and stay ahead of things so that you don't run out of AdhesivesMulberry Flowers, Stamens or other essentials.
Thank you so much for visiting today.  It's always a real blessing to have you stop by and leave your thoughts.  Why not treat yourself today?  Take advantage of these DISCOUNTED PRICES on all your favorite ribbons, trims and more.  Go on ahead, you deserve it.

Blessings,
Karen

Spreading Christmas JOY

It made me feel a little bit (or maybe a lot) sad when I first heard that Really Reasonable Ribbon is going out of business and having this BIG RETIREMENT SALE.  I've been on this Design Team for over 15 years, and I've really enjoyed it.  But when I heard WHY Really Reasonable Ribbon is going out of business, it made complete sense.  My friend, the amazing Owner of Really Reasonable Ribbon, Bonnie, has recently become a Grandma.  Am I allowed to say that here?  Ooops!  I just did.
Her sweet new grandson has, rightfully, claimed a BIG piece of her heart.  For this reason, Bonnie has decided to close the doors of this AMAZING long-time business of hers.  But hey...who could blame her?  Certainly not me.  Those grandbabies are SO precious.  They grow up much too quickly; as we've all learned from raising our own kids.  She's not going to miss one single minute of this little guy's life, and I couldn't be any more excited for her.  It would be awesome for her to be able to SELL OUT of everything.  Can you be a part of this?  You'd not only be helping out a truly wonderful small-business owner, but you'd be able to really SAVE on lots of fabulous products.  This really is the time to stock up.
This means BIG SAVINGS for all of us.  Hurray!  It's the perfect time to stock up on Baker's Twine (currently $0.75 per yard) in many colors solid and striped or Seam Binding at $0.30/yard.  There are fabulous bargains on ribbons, adhesives, hair accessories, embellishments, mulberry flowers and much more.  The discounts are absolutely amazing, and this is the time to grab yours before the best things sell out (and they're going quickly).  I used an old Papertrey Ink Mitten Die to cut my mittens from wool felt.  I machine stitched them together.  The red wool felt border was cut using the Scalloped Border Dies from Creative Worship Stamps.
I used a leaf die to cut some green leaves from wool felt, and I hand-stitched those with DMC floss.  The word JOY was cut from the red wool felt using the Peace & Joy Word Dies from Stamp Simply.  I attached more of the hand-stitched leaves to the word as accents of color and texture.  I attached some rusty jingle bells using Solid Red Baker's Twine, Solid Ivory Baker's Twine and Cherry Baker's Twine.  ANYONE who places an order this month at Really Reasonable Ribbon and lets me know will receive a special prize from me personally (minimum value $20).  Promise!!  Just leave me a message on My Personal Blog, My Cup Runneth Over.
OK...what else?  I tucked in some Christmas candy sticks and a Starbucks gift card.  This little mitten could easily become a Christmas ornament by simple attaching a piece of Grosgrain Ribbon or Gingham Ribbon to the top left (where the bow is).  Easy!  By using RIBBONS, it's easy to create lots of great projects.  You've seen the darling Christmas Trees and sweet projects on Pinterest and Instagram that are created with trims, right?  Check out ←those links for some SUPER CUTE ideas for using Baker's TwineRic-Rac or Jute.  Don't wait!  NOW is time to really STOCK UP on these DISCOUNTED Ribbons, Trims and Twines to help you create ornaments and projects of all kinds.
Thanks for stopping by.  It really would be a blessing to Bonnie as well as to me personally to know that you stopped by Really Reasonable Ribbon to see if there's anything that might catch your eye during this Retirement Sale.  I appreciate you visiting, and of course as always, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this little mitten.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has so many great products still in stock to help you make something extra sweet.  And if you do end up making a purchase this month at Really Reasonable Ribbon, don't forget to let me know so that you can claim your extra BONUS GIFT from me (mentioned above).  Have a creative week and use RIBBONS!

Blessings,
Karen

Wishing You a Very Happy Birthday

Whenever I'm on the hunt for the perfect sentiment for my cards, I enjoy looking to Bonnie Garby Designs.  They carry so many great sentiments that you're sure to find the right wording for your next card.  You'll LOVE all the wonderful digital stamps and images you find at Bonnie Garby Designs.  Once those cards start coming together (and even during the process), you'll also find the perfect Adhesives, Ribbons and goodies to adorn those cards with the perfect colors, widths and textures of most every type of spooled trim you can imagine when you shop at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This Birthday card is a great combination of both.
I used basic white cardstock and a basic robin's egg cardstock.  I ran the robin's egg cardstock through the Sizzix using the Tim Holtz Doily Embossing Folder.  The wonderful texture that this particular embossing folder gives is truly lovely.  I used a Crimped Frame Die to cut the sentiment which can be found in the Birthday Greeting 2 Stamp Set from Bonnie Garby Designs.  What a perfect matching.
The pretty floral image is found in the Floral Cluster Spring Pansies Stamp Set.  I painted the image with oxide inks and cut the floral image and the sprigs using the coordinating Floral Cluster & Sprigs Dies.  Everything is attached using Scor-Tape to hold it all securely in place.  The pretty bow I added was tied with Robin's Egg Wrinkle Ribbon and was topped with Black Baker's Twine, some Pink Double Head Stamens and a pretty Ivory Open Rose.
In case you haven't the BIG NEWS yet, Really Reasonable Ribbon is going out of business.  However, there's still a lot of great SHOPPING waiting for you at DISCOUNTED prices.  Time to stock up, right?  May I suggest stocking up on things like Adhesives, Baker's Twine, Mulberry Flowers and, of course, lots of fabulous RIBBONS.  We're still OPEN and here to help you.  Please stop by again soon.  We love having you visit us.
Be blessed, be kind, be happy, and BUY RIBBONS!!

Blessings,
Karen

The Really Reasonable Ribbon Retirement Celebration SALE Starts NOW!

It is with a mix of gratitude, melancholy, and excitement that I share some big news—Really Reasonable Ribbon will be closing its doors after 16 wonderful years in business.

When I took over the company in 2010 from a dear friend, my goal was simple: to continue offering a wide variety of quality products at fair prices, while providing the kind of personal, attentive customer service that every crafter deserves. It has been an absolute joy to serve this creative community for so many years.

However, the past few years have brought challenges that have made it increasingly difficult to operate a small business in this industry. The pandemic dramatically impacted product sourcing, shipping costs have skyrocketed, and fluctuating import fees have made it hard to maintain the quality and pricing my customers expect. While I would love to offer more products made in the USA, many of the items we carry simply aren’t produced domestically—and for those that are, the costs would be far too high for me to continue to offer the same attractive pricing you’ve enjoyed over the years.

So, after much thought, I’ve decided it’s time to turn the page and begin a new chapter—retirement is calling my name! While I’ll be stepping away from Really ReasonableRibbon, I’ll still be staying creative through my other business, BonnieGarby Designs, where I create digital sentiment stamps and SVG cut files for Cricut and Silhouette. You can continue to follow my creative journey on my Make Time to Craft Blog.

Now, for the fun partmy Retirement & Store Closing Sale starts now and will run over the next several months!  I’ll be gradually reducing inventory with targeted sales through the end of this year and into early 2026, with the goal of closing permanently by the end of February 2026 (if not sooner).

Enjoy deep discounts on your favorite products while supplies last! Sales will be updated regularly, so stop by early and often. Shop early for the best selection—once it’s gone, it’s gone! Popular items and colors will sell out quickly, so I encourage you to take a look now and grab anything you need.

I will be additional sale items weekly and I am kicking things off with HUGE SAVINGS on full spools of ribbon along with other targeted category sales.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your loyalty, encouragement, and support over the years. It’s been an honor to be a part of your crafting lives.

With warmest regards,
Bonnie Garby

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

Don't you just love that song?  I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas.  It took on a whole new meaning for me in 1989 when my husband and I (along with our then 3-year-old daughter) moved from Northern  Minnesota to the deserts of Nevada.  Unless I'm back "home" at my parents' for Christmas, I can literally only dream of having a white Christmas.  This year appears to be turning out that way, and I'm not going to complain.  When I decided to create this card, I knew that Really Reasonable Ribbon would have the perfect trims, and Bonnie Garby Designs would have the perfect sentiment.
I used a black cardstock base, and some older Crate Paper patterned papers to create my colorful background.  The darling sentiment is found in the Christmas Sentiments 2 Stamp Set at Bonnie Garby Designs.  Each layer adds more warmth and charm.  But I couldn't stop there.  Oh, no!  I had to add a pretty bow, of course.
Oh, wait!  Did I mention that there's a BIG SALE taking place NOW at Really Reasonable Ribbon?  Yes!  You can save using these codes.  The more you buy, the more you save.
Please use the codes below in the promotional code area on the first page of checkout.
The codes are good now through midnight eastern time on Tuesday 10/14/2025.

Order subtotals $50.00 and up SAVE 25% using code COLUMBUS25.
The sale code is good on everything including SALE items!
I bundled up some Ivory Burlap String and used a small piece of Scor-Tape to attach the string and a bow tied with Bay Leaf Seam Binding.  I used another small piece of Scor-Tape to top my bow with a Small Pink Open Rose, and then I tucked in two pretty stick pins.  Three little sequins were the finishing touch to this card.   Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect trims for every project.
There's always lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and that's also where you'll stay up-to-date about special sales and promotions.  And don't forget to visit Bonnie Garby Designs for lots of great sentiments.  Thanks for visiting, and happy crafting.

Baby Shower Card for a Little Boy

Hello friends.  Today I'm sharing a baby shower card I made for my son and daughter-in-law.  That's right, I'm gonna be a grandma!!  The card is embellished with some ribbon and baker's twine from Really Reasonable Ribbon and the digital sentiments and background cut file are from Bonnie Garby Designs

I created a 4-3/4" x 6-1/2" card with a few layers. My digital sentiment from our sister company Bonnie Garby Designs is my main focal point.  I ran a piece of capri blue Diamond Satin Ribbon topped with sage green Burlap String across the center of the card under the sentiment.

The sentiments I used on my card today came from the Welcome Baby Digital Stamp Bundle. The interior sentiment for the card is from the Welcome Baby Sentiments for the Inside Digi Stamp Bundle.

Our sister company 'Bonnie Garby Designs' is offering a large variety of digital sentiment stamps and svg files.  Below are the bundles I used on my card today.

Sometimes 'less is more' on a card, especially when it's for a little boy, but you can always squeeze some ribbons and trims on there.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Don't forget to stop by and visit me on my Make Time to Craft Blog too.  Have a crafty week!

Winter Wishes

What are your Winter Wishes?  Today I'm sharing a card that I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon that showcases a fabulous NEW stamp set and some lovely trims as well as some of MY Winter Wishes.  To be perfectly honest with you, my "Winter Wishes" are much the same as my general year-round wishes.  While I love getting new crafty items (stamps, dies and ribbons), spending time with family, and enjoying the Holidays; my priorities and wishes will always remain centered around my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I used a cream cardstock base and I layered it with several fun patterned papers from the Bundled Up collection by Crate Paper.  I cut the Winter Wishes tag and added some FABULOUS Baker's Twine at the top including Solid Red Baker's TwineSolid Teal Bakers Twine and Solid Ivory Baker's Twine.  Those of you who know me best are aware that I LOVE Baker's Twine for it's multi-purpose usefulness and the fact that it comes in many beautiful colors and costs just ten cents ($0.10) per yard.
On the Crate Paper tag, I stamped some of my "Winter Wishes" using a FUN NEW stamp set from Creative Worship called Wordfetti Mash-Up.  I stamped the various words/phrases in different colors of ink.  I used lots of Scor-Tape Adhesive to secure all my papers securely in place.  This is an awesome Adhesive, and it comes it various widths to accommodate various projects.  I also added a length of 1/2" Robin's Egg Wrinkle Ribbon to my card, and I topped that with another length of Solid Red Baker's Twine and a sweet 2-Tone Light Turquoise Open Rose.
Thanks so much for visiting me today.  It's always a treat to have you stop by and say hello.  I appreciate your comments, questions, and of course, your support of Really Reasonable Ribbon - the best ribbon shop out there (in my humble opinion).  Happy crafting, everyone!

Blessings,
Karen

Be Grateful, Be Happy and Be Blessed

At Really Reasonable Ribbon, you'll always find all the perfect ribbons, trims, twines and laces for sure.  But did you know that Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries useful crafting essentials such as Adhesives3-D Foam TabsMulberry FlowersEmbellishments and much more.  If you haven't done so lately, please take a minute or two and stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to look around.  You just might want to treat yourself.
Today I'm sharing a fun glassine bag project.  I decorated the glassine bag using patterned papers, stickers and ephemera from Carta Bella's sweet Spring Market line.  I used lots of Scor-Tape Adhesive to hold everything securely in place.  Before all the papers were in place, I used the Typewriter Text Background Stamp to create the fun background you see.
Underneath the watering can sticker (on glassine bag) as well as at the top left of my card, you'll see some bundled Ivory Burlap String and Black Burlap String.  This is another fabulous trim that comes in oodles of different colors and costs just ten cents per yard.  FAB!  On top of the Ivory Burlap String and Black Burlap String on my card, I added three Open Roses.
I also made a matching bookmark for my card.  I used the same Carta Bella goodies including the stickers, chipboard sentiment, etc.  Again, lots of fabulous Scor-Tape holds everything together.  I also did some machine stitching on my card.  The sweet sentiment is from Bonnie Garby Designs and is one of so many great digital sets available in her sweet Etsy Shop.  The "Be" die-cut is from Simon Says Stamp, and the words "happy" and "be blessed" as well as the & die-cut are from Creative Worship.
I used more of the fabulous Solid Baker's Twines on the top of my tag.  Baker's Twine is the perfect trim for adding a matching bookmark.  It comes in both stripes and solids and also comes in so many fabulous colors.  I'm pretty sure I covered everything you see here. but feel free to ask if you have any questions.  Thanks so much for visiting and be sure to catch all the inspiration and up-to-date information right here on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog

The Night Before Christmas

Ribbons are always a fabulous touch.  Ribbons, Twines and Trims can be used for SO many different crafting purposes.  And in my humble opinion, Really Reasonable Ribbon is truly the BEST place to find the variety of colors, widths, designs, styles and types of trims for all your crafting needs.  It's not often that I don't include some type of trim on my cards.  However......did you know that Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries essential items like Adhesives and 3-D Foam Tabs?  They really have a vast variety of crafting products.
I used basic cream cardstock for the base of my card.  I layered that with patterned papers from my stash including some old October Afternoon papers, stickers and an ephemera card.  I tied some rather long lengths of Baker's Twine around my card and tied a bow with it.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries both Solid and Striped Baker's Twines.  On this card, I used Cherry Baker's Twine and Solid Mint Baker's Twine to match my papers.
I used lots of fabulous Scor-Tape Adhesive to attach everything and hold it securely in place.  I used a cute die-cut from Paper Sweeties to cut my "Christmas cookie for Santa".  I cut it out of cardboard, and it's layered with 3-D Foam Tabs, and then the center is filled with red glitter to represent jelly or frosting in the center of the cookie.  The tiny iced coffee image is also very old, and it's from V's Sweet Ideas.  Do you get it?  The Night Before Christmas....I'm eating cookies and drinking coffee.  LOL
You can find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and that's where you'll also stay up-to-date about special sales and promotions taking place in the RRR Store.  You'll always find the best selection of Ribbons, Trims, Twines, Adhesives, Embellishments, Mulberry Flowers and much more at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  There's also still time to SAVE during the Labor Day SALE.  Details are here on the Blog (just below this post).  Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek and say hello.  I'm always grateful.

Blessings,
Karen
