I actually made a card!

It has been forever since I made a card!

I am sharing this with Unity's Friends with Flair.
Check all participating HERE.

I made this card for my Father-In-Law's birthday,
which is this weekend!

The Works:
Paper: Basic Grey, Paper Company, Image Plus+
Stamps: Unity Feb '12 KOM: Lucky To Have You
Punch: Stampin Up

Thanks for stopping by!

Golfing Anyone?

I have a friend here that is in need of a Golf Themed Birthday card for her father.
He is turning EIGHTY in April!

I found a card on SCS (this one), and cased it.

Here is my version:
I am thinking the inside will read:

80 OVER PAR
Who Is Counting?
Happy Birthday!

(since it is Golf themed and all!)

I couldn't decide how to put the GREEN BAKERS TWINE (cheap!)... Or which direction I wanted the back layer... So I made a few!

I also used black and kraft for two different base styles...
the pattern paper is Basic Grey.
I cut half inch strips and custom made the background.

The image is from Wax Fruit Company. Such a cute set of digital images and sentiments!
If you do order from this talented lady... don't get in a hurry, it takes her about 24 hours to get your image emailed to you.

Die Cuts R Us #21

It is time for Die Cuts R Us to have another Challenge.

This weeks challenge was to use Christmas Paper Scraps... "leftovers."

Well, my Christmas cards this year just used black and white paper so I didn't have any REAL Christmas scraps lying around, so I opted to use Christmas Colors that I had in my scrap pile.

STUFF I USED:
STAMPS: {Unity} Love Bug
INKS: {SU} Basic Black
PAPER: Summertime Designs, Martha Stewart, Embassy, Georgia Pacific
ACCESSORIES: {Nestabilities} Inverted Circle & Circle, Basic Grey Nook and Pantry Button, {Quickutz} Polka Dots, EK Success Border Punch

I am a Winner!

I am so excited. Two weeks ago I participated in the Basic Grey Challenge #9, which was a sketch challenge by Tara G.

You can see that sketch HERE.

I went to the challenge site this morning to see what the new challenge is for the next two weeks, and their it was, my name in big bold letters, saying I WON the challenge!

The requirements at Basic Grey's challenge blog is to use at least ONE item that is Basic Grey. I used paper and stamps. The patterned paper is from the Ambrosia Collection and the light colored swirls on the patterned paper is from the Two Scoops/Swirlie stamp set. It is kinda hard to see the swirls.

STUFF I USED:
STAMPS: {BG} Two Scoops/Swirlie; {Verve} Enjoy
INK: {SU} Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Old Olice
PAPER: {BG} Ambrosia; Embassy; Georgia Pacific
ACCESSORIES/TOOLS: Ribbon, Brads, Corner Rounder
