Hopping Around...

Thanks for visiting my blog...

If you are here from Lisa blog, you are in the right spot.

If you happen here because you like to visit me on a regular basis (thanks!) and you should go start the hop from the beginning HERE.

One LUCKY commentor, picked at random, has the chance to win some Ippity stamps AND a Creating Is Fun package!!

I have a little Easter treat box to show you today using Ippity's NOW & ALWAYS set.

Isn't this little box adorable?  It is from Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs! (Top Heavy Box

I cut out the box, then stamped the background stamp EVERYWHERE!  I then cut a whole with a paper punch and put vellum inside the box in front of the hole.

 I made the handles with a office alligator clip. Took the silver parts off and attached to my box before putting the ribbon through!

This is the PINK Trim
and the YELLOW bakers twine
and don't forget the WHITE lace

I was given a fabulous stamp to work with (I already own this set), so I want to spread the love and give the background stamp I used on the box to ONE lucky reader.  Make sure to put your favorite color in your comment and you will be eligible to win this stamp!

I also have a card I wanted to share with you. I used an Ippity's for the sentiment and a Unity stamp for the flower image, along with a die from my silhouette and THIS PURPLE lace from Creating Is Fun!

And that's all from me!

Now head to Carisa's Blog.

Put together with Bind it All.
Lace Trim from Martha's Shop.

Journaling lines are Ippity.

Die cut was cut with Silhouette.

 Sentiment is Unity.
Flourish is Fiskars.
Die Cut is a Samantha Walker design cut with Silhouette.

Friday with Unity

Wow how the weeks just fly by!

Another Friday is already here!

And I am running short on time since I have so many house chores to do before taking Hunter to school, so I will make this QUICK!

I made this card for my BFF. Her birthday is tomorrow. We have been friends since FOREVER and EVER. Her favorite color is pink, with green coming in second, so I thought I would make her a very special card:

The Flower is on a barrette so she can take it off the card and wear or give to someone else... I just love that sentiment. The background is Declare Freedom and the sentiment is from the October 2010 KOM. My sewing machine and I had a very hard time with each other the day I made this card. The back of the card is a HUGE mess, but at least you can't tell on the front right!?

I made this card with IPPITY. I wasn't thinking that the new Ippity Chick challenge blog had a sketch too... I was thinking it was just use ONLY Ippity stamps... SO it doesn't qualify, but is still cute. I used it to say thanks to a lady who purchased some of my neglected stamps (LINK IN RIGHT SIDEBAR).

And that is it from me today...

TIME for you to go check out all the other fabulous ladies participating this week with the Unity Fan Hop on the Unity Blog.

A breather

Due to some technical difficulties...

this blogger must take a breather...

I plan to be back, but until then,
I hope everyone has a fabulous life.

Before I go, here is a card I made for the
Clear It Out challenge to make a CAS card

See you on the flip side...

FwF Same but Different!

Today is Friends with Flair at Unity. You can see all those participating HERE.

I have a few cards that are all the same sketch, but a little different!
I made a black and white card with this sketch (HERE), but thought it would work great with some color too!

The next card uses the same stamps, but I used Copics to color my butterfly stamp before stamping it. I used different borders on my panel too. And can you see the stitching on all of them?!

I made this for the Unity Place Challenge to make your own background.
I didn't have the color of blue paper that I wanted, so I used Distress Ink (Broken China) to sponge white paper.
I then stamped the love stamp in Broken China at an angle over the sponging to give a subtle pattern.

 I made this card using three Ippity stamps.

 Thanks for looking!

Negative Effect for Clear It Out

This week is an odd week for Clear It Out, so we are doing a special challenge.

We want you to link us to your FAVORITE technique in tutorial form.

The tutorial does not need to be your own, we just want to see the one that is your favorite!

I actually made my own tutorial for one of my favorite techniques a while back:

And here is a few cards I made using this technique:
 Stars and sentiment are from Unity.
 Sentiment is from Verve.
 Sentiment is from a Unity.
 Stars and Sentiment are from Unity.
 Flowers and sentiment from Unity.
Heart and Sentiment are from Ippity.

Clear It Out Tuesday

I put some Unity single stamps as well as some FULL stamps for sale HERE.

We survived the last challenge at Clear It Out, and now it is time for a new one!

It's all about the ribbon and trim!
(You can find some of my satin ribbon in my shop HERE)

I made a wedding card for my friends son who is getting married in June (did the card in the couples wedding colors):

And a close up of my bow:

I am so very proud of the way my bow came out. I made my own little version of the bow easy and followed a tutorial from youtube.com to tie it. I think it turned out pretty awesome!

Supplies:
Stamps: IPPITY ~ Authentic Man
Ink: Palette
Paper: Georgia Pacific (printed on with digi pattern), Embassy, Paper Studio, Martha Stewart
Accessories: Pearls, Ribbon
Tools: SU Border punch

Other Challenges:

Rachel Time

So the Unity link up went live at Midnight for FRIENDS WITH FLAIR.... and it is now Noon Thirty, and I am just getting my post done! Running late, but I am right on Rachel Time!
(make sure to go check out all the posts on the blog)

I tried the new to me technique that Unity just made a tutorial on. You can see it HERE.

Here are my two tries at this technique.

This one I used the direct to paper technique to add the color before embossing and adding black.
Stamps are from Insightful Meadows and Birdie Inspiration. Can you see the bird? Well that makes this card qualify for the Unity Challenge this month HERE.

The one I sponged the different colors in different spots. The stamps are Ippity.
I went a little sew crazy on this one. I have a hard time sewing, specially when there is heat embossing.

FWF

I am currently on my way to go get a recall taken care of on my car, along with a brand new windshield! Yay!  I have at least 8 breaks in the windshield. Ridiculous!

So I will make this fairly short. Here is my card:

I used With Sympathy for the sentiment and butterflies. The Circle frame was cut with my Silhouette and is 1 piece circle frame by Samantha Walker. (1_piece_circle_frame_C00533_19210 2/23/2010). The stamping on the layer behind the frame is by an Ippity Stamp from Where You Should Be.

Now go check out the rest of the ladies participating in the Friends With Flair hop.

Happy Valentine Ippity!

Happy Valentines Everyone!

Today is the Ippity Hop. You can find the master hopping list HERE.

I made this card for last weeks Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I also made it because the 19th is my parents 34th Anniversary and needed a card for them.

I love the way the focal panel came out. I made a card similar to this one before, using purple and a different background behind the leaves. Either way, I love it!

I used my silhouette to make the scallop border around the focal. I actually made that image myself in photoshop before putting it in the studio program and cutting it! I love my silhouette!

And because I don't have Old Olive paper, I used Georgia Pacific white and colored the edges of the mats with a Stampin Up marker so everything matched!

The sentiment is from PTI's Faith set.

BLS Cutting Files and Ippity Hop

The Master List is HERE for those in the Ippity Hop.

BlackLeaf Studio's now has .SVG files for your cutting pleasure!
These files are great!  They work well with your cricut and SCAL, but for those of you with a Silhouette and the NEW studio, you do have to make a few changes. It does take a few steps, but it is so worth it... I am so excited! I not only can cut all the .svg files from BLS, but can also cut any .svg from anywhere now! YAY ME!

So here is my card for today using both Ippity and a BLS file:

The tractor came from HERE
The stamps are from Farm Fresh.

Ippity Hop 1.24.11

The Master List is HERE.

I made this card to go with Paper Craft Magazine's sketch challenge and I never heard anything back from them, so I guess that means I have been thrown in the rejected pile!  Oh well!

Now I can share it with you!
I used Authentic Man for the ties and sentiment.

Unity Stamp Storage

I was asked how I store my Unity Stamps so I thought I would do a quick video:

I take all my stamps and put on Graphix Acetate (which I get at Hobby Lobby). The actate is 9x12", so I first cut it down to fit inside the page protectors (8.25x11 - slightly smaller than full size so it gives room for the thickness of the stamps in the protector).

Before I put my stamps on the acetate, I ink them up and rub a piece of paper over them so I can have an index of what is in the set, along with the sizes and what the sentiments say.

Next, I peel off the protective backing off the stamps and lay them on the acetate. Then I pull all the extra rubber away from the stamps so only the stamps remain on my acetate.

Finally, I put the sheet of acetate, fully loaded with my stamps, into the page protector. I also include the index sheet behind the stamps.

I like to keep all my stamps in their original set and keep the SETS in alphabetic order and the KITS in order by the MONTH they were released.

If you have any questions for me, send me an e-mail to rabogner@cableone.net or leave me a comment here on my blog!

Also, in the video, I said I would give you the link for the boxes I use for my Ippity stamps.  If you follow the links, it gives you prices and dimension information.

Here is the LINK to the 3/4" cases. Here is the LINK to the 1 1/4" cases (thought they were 1" but was wrong!).

These boxes do come with a place to add sheets into them and are 3 ring binders. I actually use the 3/4" boxes and cut out the binders (plastic) so I can place my stamps without worrying the box won't close because the rings are hitting my stamps and because the size I use doesn't allow for pages to be inserted with stamps on them because there is only room to put stamps on the sides and not in the middle...

Ippity Hop

I finally am getting around to getting a little scrapping done. Not much, but a little. I made a page for Colton to go in my family book. Too bad I still haven't made pages to go in Colton's book, but at least I have started!There is a LOT going on in the spread!
I used both Unity and Ippity stamps.
In the background on both pages I used Hullabaloo. For the date on page one I used sweet Loving & Living. The Title is done with Ippity's Alphabetically Adorable and Frame this Alpha. The numbers on the page are stickers.I used my new silhouette to make the wording on the second page (Digs My Hart font). I also used Little Me (hard to see but next to the "y"s is the image of the father holding his son's hand). The ruler image is from "Get Scrappy With" Material Girl.

Make sure to check out all those participating in the Ippity Hop HERE.

Freebie Friday and Friends with Flair

It is another Friday where I get to share the Freebie from Black Leaf Studio Designs!
YAY!
I have a digital paper and a digital stamp for you today.

Make your way over to the BLSD blog to get these digi's for yourself!

Here is the card I made using these fabulous freebies:Sketch is from Black Leaf also. There is still time to participate in their sketch challenge. Challenge closes tonight!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Because it is Friday, it is also Friends with Flair day over at Unity.
To see all those participating, you can go HERE.
And here is what I have to share with you today:
This is my CAS Christmas card. I also made it in Red and a light blue (similar to Baja Breeze):This is one of my WCMD cards. The challenge for this one was to use paint. I actually put white acrylic paint on a tray and stamped my stamp into the ink before stamping it onto patterned paper and cutting the image out:Here is another WCMD card. This one's challenge was to use a tag on the card:
Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you are having a fabulous Friday.
Ippity Monday without a Baby!
So it is now Monday, and TOMORROW is my 'official' due date... And STILL no BABY!
I am ready to start a poll to see how many days people think I will go over!
Hunter came 3 days early... He wasn't in a real big hurry to get here, but did break my water so had no choice but to join the world!
This baby wants to play under my ribs still, so I am thinking he doesn't want to join us for a while still!
Since it is Monday, that means that it is IPPITY's Customer Hop and you can see all participating HERE.
I made this card for the Mojo Monday Challenge this past week:
Ippity: Where You Should Be, Because of You
I'm keeping it simple today, so go check out all the rest of the fabulous creations made by the Ippity fans!
Can you say FWF?
So still no baby!
Today is Friday, and Friends with Flair over on the Unity Blog. Make sure to check out all the participants and keep you eyes peeled for the FWF Blinkie. If you find the blinkie and leave a comment on that blog, you are in it for a chance to win 25 random FREE stamps! YAY.
I found the blinkie and won the stamps last month! I got this nice baggie of red rubber and LOVE some of the stamps that I got that I wouldn't have had otherwise (from KOM's I wasn't able to purchase!)
Anyway, this weeks Unity Addicts Challenge was to make a NON-Card! How lucky am I? I have been working on these fabulous Christmas jars/bottles for my Christmas presents this year and I JUST finished them! Perfect timing.
The first is a frappachino bottle that I have had lying around for about a year. I finally decorated them and put colored Epsom salts in them for my Young Women at church:
(Ippity Season of Joy)
The rest are Pickle Jars! (Unity Embellished Season, October KOM, Ippity Kissmas and Mistletoe)
I have to take lunch out to the farm every day, and my husband loves pickles on his sandwiches.
We were going through a jar of pickles about ever 2-3 days there for a while, so I started to keep them for some sort of altered gift.
(Unity Embellished Season, Ippity Season of Joy)
Very quick and easy!
(October KOM, Ippity Kissmas and Mistletoe)
Part are filled with Epsom salts and the other are filled with Russian/Spice Tea. There are a few people in the family who LOVE spice tea, so I try to make it for them every year so they have some during the cold weather months.
What do ya think!? Gotta love inexpensive presents for all those hard to buy for family members!
Ippity Do Da Day....
HAPPY NOVEMBER!
It is once again MONDAY! which means it is time for the IPPITY HOP!
To see all those participating, go HERE.
I am still pregnant... still waiting on this little man to show up...
But I still have another official week before I am due!
Actually, this is a pre-posted post, I am at the doctor's office this morning getting the "official" word from the man!
In the mean time, I hope you enjoy my card for today. I used a VLV sketch and challenge to CASE Jackie from Verve's DT.
My card turned out a lot more grungy than her's, and I like it! It is a bit more vintage than what I usually go with. I am liking the look!It is kinda hard to see, but I even did some stitching with my sewing machine on this card! Love it! My sewing isn't straight, but still fun!
Ippity Do Da Day....
Today is Ippity Monday.
You can see all the Ippity Chicks participating HERE.
I made this card for the IHHC last week to use PINK!Sorry for the short post, but I am getting more and more miserable as the time gets closer and closer for this baby to come and I don't want to spread the misery around... I'd rather just share inspiration! So go check out the rest of the chicks and get inspired!
Ippity Monday
It is once again MONDAY!
Check out all the participants for the HOP on the Ippity Blog.
I am all out of Ippity WCMD cards to share with you... guess I shouldn't have showcased them all on that first FWF, but wasn't thinking ahead!
So today, I will share a LO that I made using Alphabetically Adorable. It is a two page spread, and the first just uses Unity, but since Unity and Ippity are sisters, I figure they can share the spotlight right!
These are just the same pictures from my ZOO post from my vacation (mostly)... but they are all scrapped now and in the Book!
I used the Scrapbooking Sketch Challenges from SCS for these two. (SC258 & SC258B).
Stamps: Unity ~ Wild & Crazy Bunch, Stylin' Stars, Frame this Alpha, Capture Life. Ippity ~ Alphabetically Adorable.
Papers: MME, Paper Company, Georgia Pacific
Stuff: Embossing Powder, Pressed Pennies from Zoo, SU Markers
