SPooKy OwL

Sorry I've been slaking on the free cut files lately. It has been one hectic week. I am hoping to hear about my Some Odd Girl DT submission soon. They said they've had a hard time narrowing it down. We'll see.

Hope you use this owl for your Halloween decorating.

Have a good rest of the week.

Submitting time for the Some Odd Girl DT

Down to the wire....that is normally NOT me. I am a planner and like to work ahead of time. But this summer has gotten away from me! Seriously where did August go?????

The submissions for the SOG DT is September 1 midnight. (here is the application info). Go apply!

First of all I was going to use the Turkey digi for my submissions, but when I saw this OWL I knew I needed to have him!!!! I bought one for my craft bestie too! SERIOUSLY! HOW CUTE IS HE!

Here is what I sent in:

Card 1: Hoo-Hoo-Hooray

Recipe—
Solid Paper: White-Neenah, Kraft-Papertrey Ink
Pattern Paper: Basic Grey
Ink: Black-Momento, Grey-Papertrey Ink
Other: Vintage Seam binding, sewing, Copics and pop-dots.

Card 2: What a Hoot

Recipe—
Solid Paper: White-Neenah, Kraft-Papertrey Ink
Pattern Paper: Echo Park and Handmade Chevrons
Ink: Black-Momento, White-Papertrey Ink
Other: Watercolor crayons, Twine, enamel dots, washi and a Paper Bakery Flair

Card 3: Happy Wedding

And then I needed a third to send it, so I chose the Wedding gnomes.
I chose this one because, I took regular gnomes and made them into a wedding couple. It was apropos.  My cousin (who got married) had their reception at the The Happy Gnome in St. Paul. I really like how this card came out.

Recipe—
Solid Paper: Cream-Neenah, Red-Papertrey Ink
Pattern Paper: Studio Calico
Ink: Black-Momento
Stamp: Gnomes- Stampin' Up
Other: OA Letter Stickers, Pearl, SU Die, Spellbinders die, ribbon, pop-cots, Copics, sewing and Vintage Black Twill

Wish me luck on the Some Odd Girl DT!

Oh, and did you know that Heidi posts sketches on her blog for all of us to rate? We can give her feedback on whether or not we would like to see it as a stamp! She has a few new ones up now, so check them out! You can visit her blog here:http://2cuterubberstamps.weebly.com/rate-my-sketches.html. Who knows, maybe the sketch that you've been drooling over will become the next stamp!
