Make a Splash Card using Under the Sea Collection by Heartfelt Creations

Posted by Rajni Chawla

Hello, friends...

It's happy Wednesday again....which means time for more inspiration with Heartfelt Creation's new release.  Today, I'm here with the new card using Under the Sea Collection. This is the fintastic collection with the cool fresh breeze, the splash of bubbles, sparkles and vibrant  shades of fish, the silence of shells and depth of the sea. Don't forget to check the beautiful splashy inspirations by all team members.

Products from Heartfelt Creations:-

Zig Clean Clear Brush markers, Staedtler Water Colour Pencils, Classics circle die by Spell Binder, Scoring Board, Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks, Glue Dots, Smooth White Card Stock, Texture Paste and Clear Glitter.

Instructions:

The ready card measures 9 ½ inches X 5 ½ inches. It’s a top-folding card. Cut a sheet measuring 11 inches X 9 ½ inches. Score into half from 11 inches and fold. Score the complete front panel at 1/8th inch all. The card has three mats. The first mat is again white which measures 8 ½ inches X 4 ½ inches. The top two mats are from the designer paper itself which is distressed from all the sides using Tim Holtz Distress Tool. Both the mats are inked with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink. The top most mat is then given little texture using bubble stencil and textured paste. Add little clear glitter when wet. Dry set it using the heating tool. For the fish, stamp the image on smooth white card stock with black Archival ink and paint them with Zig Clean Clar Brush Markers. Add little highlighting with Staedtler Pencil Colours. For the shakers on the cards, nest two Classic Circle Dies together to get the rings. Stick acetate sheet to the ring. Cut a mat with pattern paper. Add Prills and close the shaker elements using foam tape. Now, assemble the card as shown. Add sentiment and twine with beads, as shown.

Heat Embossed Card with Heartfelt Creation's Birds and Bloom Collection

Posted by Rajni Chawla

Hello all...!!

Hope you all had a great weekend and a great start of new week. Today I am here with quite a neat and simple card that I created when I was not well. Sitting on the bed and not allowed to enter the craft room for nearly 10 days ...nothing worst than that could be for any crafter. Still I managed to paint few images. Since I was not allowed to do fussy cutting those days, this was done by my daughter Srishti. Though I have not taught her anything but she is master in many. She can cut much much better than what I do. My bad luck...she crafts only if I m not there in craft room and prefers to do only for her friends.

For this card I chose two of the stamps from Heartfelt Creation's Birds And Blooms Collection. The one is the background stamp (Birds and Blooms Collage Cling Stamp ) and other has beautiful birdies and flowers ( Fluffy Birdies Cling Stamp )

Here is the final result.

The background is simply heat embossed using Versamark ink and white heat embossing powder on vellum sheet. And the stamped image is painted using peeled paint, barn door, vintage photo and brushed corduroy distress inks. Few images on the vellum background were also painted with same shades of distress inks.

After painting the image it is fussy cut using Xacto knife. Many of you liked my fussy cutting and asked me what scissors or cutters I use for fussy cutting. I work with simple Xacto knife and Parchment scissors. I have tried many cutters but found these best till date. Plastic body cutters don't work  for me as I often use 220 gsm card stock for painting. Its difficult to put more pressure on plastic body cutters as they break very easily. Yes...for thinner papers of-course they work very well as it needs less pressure.

Here is the more closer look of the image. I have used Glamour dust dry glitter using art glitter adhesive glue which dries clear.  The heat embossed vellum is layered on pattern paper from Birds and Blooms Collection itself. The white ring is cut out by nesting 2 circle dies together on white card stock.

Though I hardly make clean and simple cards but I really loved making this one. Birds and flowers have always been my weakness. Hope you too liked this card.

Hello all
As you all know I am always  in love with my distress inks. Can't stop myself from using them. Friends are the sunshine of life...

Posted by Rajni Chawla

Hello all...

Your passion is the reason you wake up in the morning, and just the thought of a new technique can keep you up late with excitement. Exactly the same is with me.

Isn't it fun...when trying something new you stumble upon something that u really love.
I love colors and  I love coloring too.
And sunflowers...they are my all time favorites!!  While I was trying bleach stamping for justrite Friday Challenge #110, I tried it on quite a lots of card stocks. I was not satisfied with few colors but loved how brown card stock reacted with bleach and resulted in deep yellow. It immediately reminded me of my another new justrite stamp that had sunflower collection. I decided to do cloring with bleach.

For this card I have used Black Magic Core'dination card stock and Justrite Vintage Labels Five cling stamp. I stamped the image four times with versamark and heat set using black embossing powder. Then bleached the flowers using my water brush. I left the leaves as it is as if I bleach them they would also turn yellow. Fussy cut the images and arranged them using foam tapes on a Cheerylynn Sunflower Doily. I felt the flowers were missing their leaves somewhere.....that's why added deep green card stock in the lower half of my card. The sentiment is from same stamp on vanilla card stock set on the Spellbinders Fancy Tag Two. I have used IO butterfly.

few close ups...

Ooopss...was in hurry to get it clicked and missed pocking my butterfly properly. I did it after clicking the pic.

That is all for today and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday

Posted by Rajni Chawla

Hi..

Though I was satisfied with the previous card that I specially created for Justrite Stampers Challenge 108.  But was not sure that whether it fits and follow all the rules of the challenge or not so gave myself another try.

This time without making any change  I created the background of my card with heat embossing using white heat embossing powder, distress inks and justrite lace vintage label three. I also restricted myself to add more handmade flowers to the card and decorated  it with beaded tassels , card head pins. metal charms , ribbon and pearls.

Here are few close ups of the card...

Side view...

The sentiment saying....Happy birthday!!

Loved that metal embellishments....a dress piece and a little comb.

(Sorry couldn't catch the proper picture of comb)

And the collage of the different close ups together..

My days are celebrations....

Posted by Rajni Chawla

Hello peeps!!

All the effort in the world won't matter if you're not inspired......and inspiration can come from anything and from anyone. Playing Challenges was not my passion earlier but lots of crafters playing different challenges around me have inspired me a lot for doing the same....specially my facebook friend Anita Kejriwal. I have seen her growing with every challenge she played.
Thanks for inspiring me Anita.

I think while playing with a well known brand......we feel more confident and more creative as we try to take out the very best out of us. The same is the feeling that I am getting these days......more confident with each and every creation I make for Justrite Stampers.. It is an awesome feeling when I see my creations in their gallery and as Honorable Mentions. Its just getting new wings to my creativity.

The card I'm sharing today is designed for justrite challenge #108

This is the third challenge that I am playing with Justrite Stampers and is  a sketch challenge. Never ever played such challenge earlier but I wanted to give it a try. Hope this card of mine follows the sketch given to us.

I have tried giving a little twist to the card and tried to make an elaborated card which can also be used to capture memories. It's a gate fold card, the inside of which can hold photo mats and tags. I have layered loads of spellbinder dies and cheerylynn doily to enhance the main sentiment which is from justrite stamp.....celebrations labels one and bracket borders.

Here are the pics.

The first one is the pic of closed card...

A little view while opening it.....

Oh !!

Damn Pretty...Isn't it???

I can hoard it for ever.....have to think hundreds of times to gift it to someone very close even.

Beautiful  tags inside....

Another sentiment....exactly on the back of  main pendant again using spellbinder dies and justrite stamps and gorgeous  golden butterfly.

Closer view of the front pendant decorated with handmade flowers and metal charm.

All combined look....!!

Hope you all like my card the same way I lenjoyed making it.....really loved the final out come.

Thanks

Hi..

Making another post for my third card....for Justrite challenge #107.
Hope I soon get activated on splitcoatstampers.....I feel its easier to create a new card rather then to write a new post with every entry.

Here is my third entry for Justrite Challenge #107

The background is all handmade on acetate sheet with alcohol inks. Sorry could not catch the proper picture of the shimmer as the pic was not clicked in day light and my client was in hurry to pic her card.

All the blooms are handmade....inked with aged mohaghony and dressed with diamond dust.

Now the close-up of the sentiment....

Our friendship is priceless...!!

Posted by Rajni Chawla

Hello all!!

Here in India, the wedding and festive season is in full swing. Today I will be sharing few cards. Needless to say that 3 out of my 5 cards are based on the theme of celebrations! These cards are special for me as it’s the first time I’m using the Justrite stamps that my son had gifted to me on my birthday this year.

Call it luck or call it coincidence, but the timing of the Justrite challenge # 107 is just perfect! I was already working on easel cards cards (3 for wedding and 2 for friendship wishes) even before the challenge was announced.

Since I can't make all d entries from a single URL and still waiting for activation at Splitcoaststampers....I will be sharing all d cards in separate posts.

So, without making wait any longer… here is d first one for you.

Our friendship is priceless.....!!

Just have a closer look at the black blooms.....all handmade by me.
LOVE IT !!

Anddd....here is the collage of all the five cards  together.

To make this day little special with all my special blog friends today I am sharing my latest creations.I will be sharing four of my cards together using one single stamp (Papermania urban cling stamp ) and also with one single paper collection by Core'dination. I have used lots of different dies, washi tapes and Crackle medium by Ranger.

My daughter has put two white quilled flowers in my last card...she did nothing but still wanted to take full credit of making it by adding those two little bits :P
For the third and fourth card i used Sunkissed fluer die from heartfelt creation.

Hope I can inspire you to make something beautiful.Do leave some love by commenting if you like my work.
I will be back soon with  my another creation....
