Bear Pawlish ~ Happy Bearthday Again!

Bear Pawlish ~ Happy Bearthday Again!
Royal purple linear holo

“Happy Bearthday Again!” is a HHC Facebook group custom from November 2016.

It’s a linear holographic jelly. The first coat seemed very sheer and I feared that it would take a lot of coats to build up. But guess what! It only took two coats and the drying time was really fast! Score!

I made some random hot pink and white dots on it. I used two stamping polishes from El Corazón for the dots: White and Pink Neon. I topped it all with a layer of “Northern Lights” holo glitter topcoat from “Out the Door”.

Here is my final manicure taken with flash.

This is the same thing photographed in my lightbox. The colour is still really nice.

And here is “Happy Bearthday Again” on its own; two coats and no topcoat yet.

These are all the polishes I used:

Bear Pawlish: Happy Bearthday Again!; El Corazón stamping polish: White and Pink Neon; Out the Door: Northern Lights.

Bear Pawlish ~ Patsy

Bear Pawlish ~ Patsy
Fuchsia linear holo

This is the last Bear Pawlish I had sitting in the infamous box of untrieds. And like I’ve said before, I’m not going to buy any more of them since I don’t like the short and stiff brushes they have. It’s a shame, because there are some really lovely Bear Pawlishes out there, but never mind. I’m sure I can get my polish fix from other retailers :D

The formula is good on Patsy and I used two coats for desired opacity. The drying time was good.

And Patsy is really gorgeous in the sun, take a look at two coats and no topcoat:

The holo flame is really pretty, I like it a lot!

Here’s what it looks like in lower lights. You can still see an odd rainbow if you’re looking carefully enough, but I must admit that I am not super thrilled. I like the colour but I had the feeling that it made my nails look as if they were made of plastic, ugh!

I decorated it with a couple of stickers: A cat and a bow. I sealed it up with topcoat and this is my final mani:

This is the reason I decorated it with a cat sticker: I am currently cat-sitting my best friend’s cats, and this is one of them:

Isn’t she cute? She’s a little rascal <3

That’s Bear Pawlish for you guys. Would you get rid of a polish if you didn’t like the brush? Or would you rebottle it if it was pretty enough?

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: I love the rainbows in the sunshine. In the shadow not so much.

Bear Pawlish ~ It’s a Tiny Shoe

Bear Pawlish ~ It’s a Tiny Shoe
Turquoise linear holo with a splash of turquoise microglitter

Today I’m wearing a polish that made even me go “wow!” It is a stunning turquoise linear holo, just the way I like them.

The formula is great and I used two coats for my mani. The drying time is really good too.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat in the sun:

Isn’t that just amazing?

Here’s a low light picture. I still really like the colour.

I placed a floral sticker by the base of each nail and topcoated the whole thing to seal it all up. Here’s another sunshine picture:

Oh yes, I dig this.

I love this polish and I was really happy when I received it in a swap a while ago, because it had been on my wish list in like what seemed forever.

I think Bear Pawlish makes some really cool polishes and some amazing holos. I’m not getting any more of them though. I really dislike the brush they come with. It’s short and stiff and just not working with me. It’s a shame! :/

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Very good
Finish: Linear holo plus microglitter
Overall impression: Wow. Just wow.
Buy again: Yes (if they change the stupid brush, haha!)

Bear Pawlish ~ Divine Wine

Bear Pawlish ~ Divine Wine
Deep red linear holo

I really enjoy wearing red and especially dark reds. When Divine Wine showed up in a swap I was thrilled – it’s absolutely fabulous.

The formula is good and I used two coats for my mani. The drying time between the coats is good. I have a bit of a struggle with Bear Pawlish’s brushes, but I’ll get back to that at the end of the post.

Take a look at two coats and no topcoat:

Pretty, yes?

Here’s a low light picture. I still love the colour!

I applied glitter over it. I used an old NYX called Spot Light, it’s NGP168. Silver/holo glitter in a clear base. It’s been a while since I used this, so why not today.

Here’s one coats of Spot Light over Divine Wine – topped with a layer of topcoat.

I like the look of this!!

Let me get back to the brushes. They’re short and a little bit stiff. I must admit that I struggle a bit with them because I find them a bit difficult to control. Last time I convinced myself that they were easier to control, but they aren’t. Not for me anyway.
Here’s what the brush looks like:

Oh well. The polish is a beauty. That’s what counts! :)

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: Great colour! I had hoped for a stronger holo effect.

Bear Pawlish ~ She’s a Fish Killer

Bear Pawlish ~ She’s a Fish Killer
Garnet red linear holo

I’ve wanted to try out Bear Pawlish for a while, but hadn’t gotten my little hands on any – they don’t ship to Denmark, which is a shame. That means you either need a mule to get them or - like me - be lucky in a swap! I received three of them in a recent swap and I was so thrilled as I unwrapped them. They look just as pretty in real life as they do on the pictures I’ve seen!

She’s a Fish Killer went on the very next day – there’s no way I could let such a beauty sit in a box of untrieds. The formula: Delicious! The coverage: Really good, I used two coats. Drying time: Great too, no problems to report. Oh happy day!

Here’s what two coats and no topcoat looks like with flash:

Be still, little heart! ♥

And girls, this is amazing out of the flashlight too! See?

I stamped on ring fingers and middle fingers. I used a stamp from Bundlemonster, BM-423 and I stamped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Whirlwind White. I sponged silver/holo glitter on the tips of pinkie, pointer and thumb: OPI’s In True Stefani Fashion. It’s such a pretty glitter. Unfortunately I topcoated the whole thing before I took my pictures… little did I know that She’s A Fish Killer is a bleeder! All the crispy white lines turned pink, dagnabbit!

But anyway – I won’t let that little stunt ruin my good mood. Here’s my final mani:

Oh yes, I still like it!

It was a total win to receive this prettiness in a swap, and I can’t wait to try the two others! I might need a mule at some point to ship me some more!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Fast
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: I drooled, I swooned, and when I woke up I swooned again. This is a seriously beautiful polish!
Buy again: Yes please!
