This album represents the fulfillment of a
longstanding ambition of Dion's to record material that he feels is best suited
to express himself as an artist. The selection of album content to the casual
observer might be tought of as simply selecting material for singing. Nothing
can be further from the truth. It took Dion and I no small amount of time to
cull, delve and ultimately to decide what was to go in this LP, in order to
best show Dion's facility for creative versatility.There have been many renditions of "Close
Your Eyes", "One For My Baby", "My One And Only Love"
and "Fools Rush In"... but his interpretations are filled with heart
and a sustained quality of warmth and feeling. Listen to the warm and tender
reading he gives to "P.S. I Love You"; you'll snap your fingers to
"After The Dance" and swing to his rhythmic belting rendition of
"North East End Of The Corner". We have also included in this album Dion's
latest hit record, "Lonely Teenager" and a recente favorite,
"Save The Last Dance For Me". Both are examples of Dion's fine interpretations.
We think this album will please and excite all who have followed Dion's career
to this point. Listen to Dion's latest effort, "Havin' Fun", and I
