Freebie Friday - I love BRADS!

Hi there! How are you guys? I know I've been awfully quiet this week. I guess being busy is a good thing, right? If only I could slow down the clock a bit. Do you guys have those days (or weeks)? I haven't forgotten about today, it's just a little late in coming is all! Now that I've gotten a quick second to catch my breath, I've found some time to write this post! Can you guess what this week's giveaway is? Here's a look: You like? Now, don't you LOVE these BRADS, too? They are Stampin'Up!'s Star Designer Brads and the 5/8" Brads, which would make great embellishments on your crafting projects (in my humble opinion, that is).

Ready to play for these? All you need to do is leave me a comment on this post with your email address or Blog URL so that I can contact you if you win! You have until Sunday, December 20th at NOON, Pacific time. You can comment about anything, or tell me if you are all done with your Holiday gift shopping. I'll be the first to tell you that I am soo not done yet! I feel like this Christmas season is whirling right by so fast!!! This year, I'm definitely in the last minute shopper category. Thank goodness for online shopping and shipping!

Shopping Bag Winner announcement!

Hello there blog peeps! Hope you had a great Monday. Sorry I'm a little late in announcing the Freebie Friday winner today, but time seems to escape me every now and again. I've finally caught up to it....are you ready to find out?

The lucky winner of the Stampin'Up! reusable grocery bag is... Lucky number 3, who happens to be Kelli! Congrats, Kelli :) Here's what she had to say: I had fun reading all your comments. The majority of you sound like you do make your own cards, as well. There's also some of you that are in a similar boat as me....as in a teenie bit behind in getting them out the door {smile}. We still have some time though. Speaking of, I better try and do some of them tonight! Have a good one!

Freebie Friday - Need a shopping bag?

Happy Freebie Friday all! It's a rainy day here in Southern CA. Definitely feels like winter! I'm so glad it's Friday, this week has been quite a crazy one!

For today's Freebie, I thought I would offer another chance at the cute Stampin'Up totes I had offered this past summer. I've found that this is a great little bag to have on hand in your car! Here's a look again at the bag - it's the one in the front pictured below. I'll take another picture of it later and post it, but for now, this will have to do: Isn't it cute?

Ready to play? All you need to do is leave me a comment with your email address or blog URL so I can get a hold of you if you're the lucky winner! You have until Sunday, December 13th at NOON Pacific Time to leave me a comment on this post. You're free to comment on anything, or you can tell me what you do for holiday cards - do you make them? buy them? send any? I would imagine that many of you probably make them, but no worries if you don't! I still have not gotten mine finished and mailed, so I am really running behind!

Look forward to hearing from you. Have a great day!

Animal Crackers Winner announcement!

Hi blog friends! Hope you all had a great weekend. I think I got some much needed R&R this weekend, so I'm ready to start the work week all bright eyed and bushy tailed (at least for now!). Looks like I got a great response to the Animal Crackers giveaway! I am so glad that a bunch of you played and left me fun comments! You guys ready to find out the winner? This week's lucky winner is... Lucky number 6...who happens to be Robyn W.! Congrats to you Robyn W. and thank you to all of you that played :) Just 3 more weeks left til the end of the year and the last one happens to be on Christmas! That'll be a great present for someone :)

Well, as far as holiday decorating goes, we were able to get the lights up outside the house and I got to put out the wreath on the front door, but our inside of the house has yet to be decorated. I'm hoping to do a little bit each day during the week and finish off by Saturday. On the Christmas card front, I am now officially TOTALLY behind. Let's just say I'm going to have to recruit my helper (dear hubby) to help do some assembling this week.

Have a great day and I'll catch up with you guys later. Toodles!

Happy Post Thanksgiving Freebie Friday!

Hi all! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Did you guys eat as much as I did? I probably need to do some exercise activity today. Since it is "Black Friday", do you have any plans of braving the crowds and going shopping today? I may actually do a bit of that after I do some work of course. Yes, work. Being the newbie that I am, I've got to fulfill some work commitments. But it is what it is. And I am happy and thankful to have a job. Plus, the Retail Therapy afterwards will be fun and will give me some form of exercise for the day :)

So, are you ready for today's Freebie Friday? How about getting punchy? This scallop border punch is awesome - you've probably seen it showcased in a handful of cards I've posted ;)

You have until Sunday, November 29th at 12 NOON Pacific Time. Feel free to comment about anything, or tell me what your favorite Thanksgiving dish is. For me, I'd have to say it's the stuffing. My mother-in-law's recipe is so delish! We've got plenty of leftovers, so I'll probably be having more of that this weekend :)

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day! If you want to stay home and shop online, don't forget you can get lots of awesome Stampin'Up! stuff on sale til November 30th! You can go to my Demonstrator Website here, then click on the Shop Now button, and you'll be good to go!

Yay - it's Friday! And it's time for a Freebie!

Hi all! How was your week?! I don't know how it happens, but lately, time just seems to find ways to go faster and faster! Except, of course, when I'm on the freeway. I've been on the road quite a bit this week {literally - on the 405, for you Southern CA locals} and for whatever reason, traffic has been absolutely horrendous! Thankfully, the weekend is almost here! But even more importantly, it's a Freebie Friday! I was trying to figure out what to do this week, and what I ended up doing was a quick little ornament that was inspired by many I've seen on the Splitcoaststamper's website. Here's my version, and this week's giveaway! It's quick and easy, and uses strips of paper, a hatpin and a few embellishments from the Pretties Kit! Hope you like it! (I'll share directions this weekend, when I have a bit more time to put it all together!)

Are you ready to play? All you need to do is leave me a comment with your email address or blog URL (enough info for me to contact you!) by November 22nd, Sunday at noon, Pacific Time. You can comment on anything or you can tell me about something you are thankful for this year. I would love to hear about it. I, personally, am so thankful to you all for keeping me inspired and motivated to keep on creating. I am also so thankful for my dear hubby, my wonderful family, and great friends - old and new. And, of course, my new job ;) Looking back on 2009, I'd say it's been filled with mixed blessings and surprises. And, I am very grateful for it all.

Oh, I also wanted to give a quick shout to my last 2 Freebie Friday winners...I want to apologize to you both for my super tardy delivery of your goodies...I haven't forgotten about you. Let's just say it's been a challenge to get to the Post Office. I will get your goodies to you soon! Thanks for understanding :)

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Bye for now!

Happy Freebie Friday the 13th!

Hello blog peeps! Hope you all had a good week. Me? I've been a busy girl still adjusting to my new schedule. Boy, has it been a busy one! {I didn't even realize it was a Friday the 13th until I heard it on the news this morning!!}So, sorry for the lack of posting this week. One great development this week is that I've found a carpool buddy, so that does help with the commute factor by a LOT. Once things get settled down, I'll try to post more often. For now, let's get on with this week's Freebie Friday, shall we? Here's a full view: It's a 2 Tag Treat holder! This idea was shared by a fellow demonstrator and I thought it was just too cute! This week's winner will get this Treat Holder and a kit to make 3 more (kit includes 6 tags, ribbon, 6 buttons, twine, 3 cello bags, 3snowflake punched images). The treat holder is made from the 2 Tags Bigz die and actually uses 2 of the wider tags on the die. Super easy peasy! Very simple to assemble - just crease the 2 tags, and adhere the bottom flaps together with Sticky Strip to create the base. Then, weave the ribbon through the pre-punched hole at the top of the tag, tie it off with a button and twine, and the holder is assembled! All you need to do is put the treat in, {you'll get the treat in the sample, and you can supply the remaining 3 ;) }
Here's the side view of the Treat Holder - it's got 2 Snickers for you!

Are you ready to play? All you need to do is leave me a comment with your email address or blog URL (enough info for me to contact you!) by November 15th, Sunday at noon, Pacific Time. You can comment on anything or you can tell me about any Thanksgiving traditions you have. Looking forward to reading your comments and finding out more about you!

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great day! Bye for now.

More Freebie Friday JOY!

Yay!!! It's FRIDAY! Whew! Glad to have made it through the week. Especially because I'm excited to share this Freebie with you - it's a fun gift idea for the Holidays! I am still filled with JOY and I captured it in this Holiday Frame {heehee}. I was a busy little bee last weekend trying to come up with some Holiday Decor ideas. I'll actually be sharing this project along with other Holiday Decor ideas at my demonstrator table tomorrow at the Spaghetti Factory meeting. So...for you demos planning to attend Sandy Hancock's meeting on November 7th, here's a sneak peek at what you'll see :) Here's a full view of the frame.
Like it? Hope so! I got the frames at Ikea and they come in a 2 pack and fit a 5"x5" picture. This would be a great project to make and give to hostesses, friends, teachers, etc. Plus, it's got the home made touch, so it makes it that much more special :)

Wanna win this frame? Here's what you need to do to play for this Freebie Friday giveaway - leave me a comment on this post with your email address or blog URL by 12 NOON, Pacific Time, on Sunday, November 8th. You can comment about anything or tell me about one memorable occasion in your life that brought you great JOY :) Can't wait to read about what you guys have to say!

Also, please note that I moved up the deadline time so I can pick a winner on Sunday and post who the lucky person is on my blog on Monday, November 9th.

Be sure to come back and see if you won! Have a great weekend!

Freebie Friday Winner and First day update

Good evening, blog friends! I know I'm getting to the Freebie Friday Winner announcement a little late today, but it's all for good reason - today was my first day of my new job and I had to make sure I got out of the house on time this morning, so didn't get a chance to post. Hope you guys understand. :)

So, here I am after my first day of the new job, excited and ready to share who the winner of the Joy Banner is. Are you guys ready? The lucky winner of the Joy Banner, is: who happens to be Kara! Congrats Kara! Thanks all for playing in another week of Freebie Friday...there's only 8 more left this year. Wow! Can you believe it? I am so glad you all have played with me so far :) It looks like my blog is coming up on a big milestone before the year's up, so stay tuned... :)

On the job front, I had a great first day! My commute was manageable and I am really excited about my job :) I'll keep you guys posted. Sidenote - I drive past the Ellison Corporate Headquarters (parent company of Sizzix) on my way to work! That's kind of fun :)

Have a great day!

Freebie Friday Joy!

Hi guys! Happy Friday to you! Did you notice I changed up my blog look today? I know there's still a day left before Halloween, but I was getting antsy for something new....maybe because I'm getting ready for something new come Monday {with the new job and all}. I'll have a festive Halloween post tomorrow though, so don't you worry :)

Today, I'm enjoying a little bit of R&R, and hence I'm filled with JOY! Which, coincidently inspired my Freebie Friday giveaway this week. Here's a slightly bigger look at the Joy Banner giveaway. You can click on the picture to check out a bigger view. It's so fun and so easy to make, especially with the handy dandy Big Shot. I used the Sizzix Clear Scallop Square Bigz die and the Serif Alphabet Bigz Die, with a touch of Christmas Cocoa DSP, Real Red Polka Dot Grosgrain ribbon, and some rope. Viola! Hope you like it!

So all you have to do to play is leave me a comment on this post with either your blog URL or email address so I can contact you. You have until Sunday, November 1st at Midnight Pacific Time. By the way, isn't that cool we gain an hour this weekend? Yay! The bummer is that it gets darker so much earlier now. Oh well, part of the change of season. Anyway, back to the comments for the post - you can comment on anything OR you can tell me about what you have planned for this weekend. Ours, believe it or not is pretty low key. We have about 5-10 trick or treaters come to our house for Halloween. A big part of that is because we live on a hill and there's only houses on one side of the street, so it's not the most bang for your buck street to trick or treat. Most of the kids in the neighborhood go a couple blocks away to the flat street, where I've heard there are quite a few trick or treaters. But, we still buy candy anyway for the few kids that do come by. Can't wait to hear about your weekend festivities. Have a great one!

Freebie Friday Winner announcement!

Morning all and Happy Monday to you! Hope you guys had a great weekend. We had a great time here, and as always, it felt like it was too short. As they say, time flies when you're having fun {ain't that the truth!}.

Let's get going and kick off the week with the winner of the Favorite Things Notebook. Ready? The winner is.... Lucky number 1, who is... ~amy~!!! Congrats, Amy! I'll drop you a note so you can send me your info. Thanks all for playing another week. Come back on Friday for another round! In the meantime, hope you have a fantastic day :)

Bye for now!

Freebie Friday Favorite Notebook Giveaway

Happy Friday to you all! Did this week just whiz by for you like it did for me? It's been busy busy busy all week long for me, so I'm glad the weekend is almost here to take a quick breath and relax a bit. WooHoo! So, are you ready for this week's Freebie Friday giveaway? I'm back on my notebook kick - this week, it's a Favorite Things notebook {coincidently, the stamp I used is from the Favorite Things set}. These really are so much fun to make! Can you tell I also am in love with using buttons? I used the Sweet Always DSP, which is retired, but I loved the paper so much that I hoarded a bunch when it was available. It's such a fun color scheme. I used the Scallops #2 die to create the flower, and the Pennant die to create the scallop center. Not sure if you can tell in the picture, but I did emboss the flower with the Small Dots Texturz plates. For the finishing touches, I added a few buttons from my PTI stash. Love them! For the inside of my notebook, I covered the top strip of my notepad with the DSP and Regal Rose cardstock. So, how do you like it? I hope you do!

Ready to play? All you need to do is leave me a comment with either your email address or blog URL {essentially, leave me enough info to contact you} on this post by midnight Pacific Time on Sunday, October 25th. You can leave me a comment about anything, or you can tell me what your favorite subject was in school. My favorite was math for the most part, then I have to say I enjoyed the sciences in high school and college. I admit, I was quite the nerd! So, now it's your turn to share with me. Look forward to reading your comments!

I'll announce the winner on my blog on Monday, so make sure to stop by then to see if you won! Thanks for stopping by and visiting. Have a great day!
