Sweet Summer Time

Iam keeping it short today … I am writing so many postings for my blog today in advance that I almost have nothing to tell you giggle.
The card uses one of the sweet new Satuarted Canary images which are going to be available in rubber through Little Darlings. Sweet, sweet… the size is perfect for cards and if you do not care too much for digis.. you are out of the hassle playing around with the percentage you like your image to be.

Name tags

Hello ladies, today would like to show you the two name tags I have made to wear during my workshops. One for each day
Sorry for the bad quality of my photos.. they have been literally taken the last minute before packing the camera and some other last minute things for my big trip.

Here is a little shot so you can see the reverse side. I used some chipboard coasters to back the flimsy paper. otherwise I was worried the paper could not “carry” all the embellishments I added to the tag. Cutting worked well with Spellbinders and my big shot.

Iam very excited.. actually today (21. is my first workshop in the UK at Sir Stampalot) and I will also have one more class tomorrow. Maybe you can come? just call the shop at From UK: 01733 324 007.

Card we made in Rome

Hello friends, today I can show some photos of the card we have made in Rome with Barbara. In total there are 4 colored images inside this little book for the ladies to look and color in. There is plenty to embellish on this little project. I was a bit worried how many images I need to keep the class busy, since this is my first time.

and a long card… wow… if I remember correct the card is between 7 and 7.5 inches long.. I absolutely love how this turned out.

focal point image is stamped onto paper and than I had made a matching tag – covered the top with design paper.. The tag can be pulled out and reveals a sentiment. Of course the inside is as always decorated as well

Little Miss MuuMuu

Well… is she not cute???? When I was making the card I was already envisioning me and my boys going for a hike on the German Alps. I used to do this like once or twice a year in summer and my friends and I would always stop by a "Kaeserei” a shop where they make the cheese right there fresh using milk the cows produce. Meaning those cows eat just the grass there on the alps and I think they can kind of run around wild I guess, or have large areas they can feed. Heck what do I know… I am not a city girl but the the town is rather large. For me seeing no fence means “wild” and better watch out… something might come bite you in your behind. Just kidding, luckily Miss MuuMuu seams to be a very friendly one of her kind

You’re the BEST thing

Hello sweets.. yet an other Saturated Canary card AND same papers I used in the past along with the line of stamps. Today is June 16. as I writing this posting and NOTHING so far has been done in my basement since the pipe broke. I am so upset. Still trying to work my best with the limited papers I was able to get upstairs and embellishments. I guess worst is that I have hardly any ribbons here. I must say it’s getting boring for me and I loose interest. I hope and pray things look brighter when I will be home. I than have to start with some Christmas stuff (Magnolia Ink) and that’s not going to happen with those kind of papers hahahaha. Right now I play with the thought of putting a order in with Stampin up so I have some stuff once iam back home for sure. Like my vacation does not cost $$$ already enough wink. Hubby is going to kill me before I made it on the plane to escape.

Enough complained… back to the card!!

For Carole…

how blessed am I to be able to travel this year to all those places and I am so excited as of today as I am writing this posting to know already a few people I know for sure I can meet. It is even more exciting to sit here and think who else from the blogging community I might be able to meet in person. OMG!!! THIS IS INSANE!!!

I have made this card to give to my dear friend Carole.. who has been a really good friend of mine since I started to blog. Carole is going to travel just to meet me to Sir Stampalot. I told her I might shed a tear or two when I finally get to see her in person.

I hope she is going to like this card. Since I can give it to her by hand I thought it would be okay to have the tags stick over the 6x6 card base. Usually keep everything inside that perimeter.. its already hard enough to mail those kind of cards with all the high flower embellishments on them.

LOVT peek

which is no longer a peek anymore lol.. I bet you have seen this cutie already. I think it was all of our favorite when we saw a peek of the new designs. This one is called “Blooming Day” and the teddy stamp comes with a matching sentiment. Usually I do like my sentiments on the front of the card but it did not work out, so I tucked the sentiment to the inside on a tag.

Lili of the Valley goes Origami

Today I have a little quick gift card holder to show you. Its fairly quick made and perfect for gift giving and those little cute Lili of the Valley images. I had made it initially to give this my son’s teacher. I might put a tutorial up on my blog soon, how to make this. I am just so busy with my trip and the reno in my house has not even started yet.

To decorate the outside of the holder I used a image from the forth coming Cute Companion set – lots of sweet images and matching sentiments and in the inside I used one image of my favorite set Daisy Trio.  Finished the holder up with a sentiment tag, also by Lili of the Valley.

A Summer Day…

Our challenge on Just Magnolia is to create a Summer inspired card… use Summer images or your favorite color combo that says for you Summer is here
it’s definitely here in Michigan we have had some really hot days and I can not wait to go take a dive in a pool today. yippee..

Well.. an other easel card, lol.. it was just so much easier to show off those pretty Magnolia papers. Usually I must say I do love the paler coloring other girls do with distress inks along with the papers. I guess that’s why I worry a lot when I consider to use them but I think my brighter coloring style actually does work on this card. Well… at least today, I really like how it looks  

I used a combination of all new stamps from the new Summer Memories Collection.

Flip Flop Tilda – I must say I wished she would not wear a traditional Hawaiian skirt… if she had a regular skirt on I felt she would be more versatile. The Cuba sign on the car and a Hawaii Tilda does not really work for me together.
