Harmony

Hello and thank you for visiting today. This is a card i have made back in June. I wanted to make a romantic card, with the very pretty K&Company papers and on of my Sarah Kay's.

Here is a detail shot of the flowers sprayed with Shimmerz Baby's breath. i did not do much photo editing this way you can see best how wonderful the effect is.

The image is stamped way to the left so there is still space for some handwriting. The card size is 5.5x5.5 inches.

Stamps: Sarah Kay "Roses Garden"
Papers: Stampin up and K&Company
Embellishements: Prima Marketing and Martha Stewart, STampin up ribbon

A Note For You

Hello! Thank you so much for all your good wishes yesterday! You are all so kind xxx
We took Lucas yesterday to the ER after he complained Saturday late night that his entire hand is in pain and his finger started to look like a big pear shape (filled with blood) and the nail tip blue to his wrist is blue. The X-rays showed that he did break his finger. The doctor said that we have to go back in 4 days and if he does not improve he might have to have surgery. The way his finger looks after such an accident is normal. Yesterday Lucas was doing much better but Saturday night my husband and i really worried because of his complaints in his entire hand. We thought that he got an infection. Puuuh... this is the first big accident one of my kids had. iam sorry if i freaked out :-) More to accidents probably to expect i guess lol
This card was made for the Bi-weekly STAMPAVIE challenge using the provided sketch from Franzi. Thank you!

Stamps: Sarah Kay "Rosalies Biycle" by Stampavie available through 7Kids College Fund, Sentiment: Stampin up (level 1)
Paper/CS: K&Company 8x8 Madelaine, Stampin up (Close to Cocoa, Purely Promegranate)

Embellishments: Prima Marketing, Robins Nest, Ribbon Offray

Enjoy the moment

This card is sold - Vielen lieben Dank Sonja K. xxx
Hello and good morning. I would like to show you the finished card using the cute Sarah Kay image i have used for my "limited marker" Copic Coloring Tutorial. Some of the daisies had some red, while i have tried to work and hubby taking pictures. So i colored over those spots with a white gel pen to make them white again. The image is framed with grunge stamps that Kristine sent me for Christmas and Blush Blossom Stampin up ink.

Please see what the other DT for Cute Card Thursday girls came up with. They all made a wonderful sample card for this weeks challenge

My lucky day :-)

Hello and a wonderful Tuesday. Today's card is so not what i had in mind to make. I saw on my friend Jodi's blog some fabulous cards using Flower Soft. So i had to have some myself too. Jodi was so kind to help me pick some colors but boy those little tins sell fast. So i was able to get some white and one jar that's mixed and has the same colors as my K&Company Design papers. Anyhow as you can see.. no Flower Soft on my card. I still have to practice with it. The next thing was.. my husband bought me for Valentines Day a new sewing machine :-) so i use the fancy new stitch on the outer DP (if you click on the picture you can see that cute leafy stitch) and once that was finished the machine simply broke!!! Of course it was the last one in the store :-( well at least we got our money back. But after all that tweaking and not wanting to work on that card at all anymore.. i think it turned okay :-)
Embellishments: Pin and this super vintage round embellishment were sent to me by my friend Kristine - i added some pearls out of the SU Pretties Kit!!!, Lace by Joanns fabric, Flowers Prima Marketing, Riding Hood Red ribbon by Stampin Up, Pearl stickers sent by Carole
Other: Nestabililties petite oval, Martha Stewart lace punch, broken Sewing machine by Singer (lol) Paper: Neenah Classic Ultra White, Memento Black Ink, DP: K&Company, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze
Coloring: Copics - have no numbers because i had to start over twice :-)
oh btw.. have you seen Rachs FANTASTIC blog candy??? girls she has some of the wonderful Martha Stewart punches up and oh well.. iam in awe of her coloring .. her card using the Magnolia cupcake is simply to die for!!!!

First Kiss - Let's Make Cards

Hello thank you for visiting me today. I hope you are having a good start today and i can inspire to visit us over on the Friday Sketcher blog to use the fabulous sketch my friend Murmur from France has come up with for one of your cards. Of course we have also a fabulous prize up for grasp - to make it even more fun.
Murmurs sketch has swirls on one corner.. of course feel free to add any embellishment you have but i just got 2 days ago those pretty Making Memories papers and the new Prima flourishes and i was like Yeeeepiieeee.. that's just perfect to use my new stuff :-) I love this image from STAMPAVIE called "First Kiss" and it was my first pick... just romantic, innocent and sweet :-) If you are not a wholesaler you can purchase your STAMPAVIE stamps and other card making supplies at Summer's store (she is just so helpful :-). The card looks really pretty in real - the pink and black looks elegant together. For my flower embellishments that the sketch called for i picked a black flower that has black glitter on and the other flower is a sheer grey organdy one, placed over a soft pink hydrangea. Everything else is from Making Memories line "Sabrina". The inside is decorated as well and on the envelope i stamped my most favorite swirl stamp :-) It is a Magnolia stamp and i am very grateful to sweet Jaqueline who organized that i could get this stamp because it is not available through the web site. Thanks so much my dear friend!!!

OH MY GOSH.. :-) I just got the links from Stampavie for this posting and i noticed that Stewart has loaded the advertisement that uses 2 of my Rachelle Anne Miller cards to the STAMPAVIE site. aaahhhh :-) this advertisement will be published in "Let's Make Cards"magazine in the UK along with a big inteview with Rachelle Anne Miller herself. I have seen a proof of the ad before Christmas, but on the site it does look even better lol. While you are on the Stampavie site.. please take a peek to the very new Leere Aldrich Collection! Soooo funny those ladies :-)
I have listed the Sarah Kay card and some others over on ebay with a low starting price. I am planning to list some stamps and a Spellbinder Wizard cutting machine (must find out how much shipping will be) this weekend as well.

Challenge de Inge

Good morning everybody.... i would love to show you my card i made for Cute Card Thursday's open challenge for this week. It was perfect to FINALLY make my card for Inge's Joy Fold challenge. I just love this DP i picked up in a local store and i was happy to use it with my wide new Stampin up Pink Pirouette ribbon. Must say i was worried, because it is so wide but oh is it pretty!!! The panel with the image is poped up onto 2 pop up dots - so if by accident the ribbons slides completely out by opening the card - the person recieving it can still slide it easily back in. Stickles frames each of the mats. This card is really "girly".
Embellishments: Martha Stewart Pearls, Hero Arts Rhinestone stickers, Prima Marketing, Making Memories Rhinestone brads, Stampin up Ribbon
Card: Joy Fold card scoring and folding can be found at SCS

Pretty Pressings Candy

Hi, i make it short today because unlike than usually i have plenty of pictures of the prize i have prepared for one winner of the big Pretty Pressings Anniversary blog candy.
The winner will get this card and the altered box below. Inside of the box are several pieces of Hardware from the Stampin up Hardware boxes in all 3 colors (brass, antique and silver) those pieces are not available anymore. Most of them you have seen on my cards before.. i really love them and i have purchased several boxes before they got retired.
Stamps used on the card: Sarah Kay by STAMPAVIE
Sentiment by Stampin up
Stamp: Sarah Kay by STAMPAVIE

The reason why i have multiple pictures up today is also, that you can see all the new ribbons you will get with the new Raspberry ribbon kit (here you can see the gold and brown grosgrain one and at the front image the narrow brown one). I hid the ends of the string with decorative brads (cut the pongs first off and glued them down)
and finally the hardware and some matching Prima Flowers.
some may recognize the tin.. it is usually kind of like a turquoise blue - i spray painted the tin first with metal gold and than added the K&Company paper to the top and glued the ribbons on.
Come and see tomorrow what Alota Rubberstamps has sponsored and than on Wednesday i will tell you what you can do to win the prize.
Thanks for swinging by!

Chit Chat

Hi, sorry i totally forgot yesterday to finish my posting for today :-)
Today i would love to show you the first part of the blog candy i will sent to one lucky winner kindly sponsored by
I will show you in the coming 4 days the prizes and also card/project made with each sponsors stamps. Iam sure you recognize this image... the very cute Sarah Kay image is water colored and the the snowflake DP is raised with pop up dots so the card has more like a frame feel to it. Hard to see on this picture but i used lots of twinkeling H2O colors to make it sparkle.
DP: Cosmo Cricket
and oh my goodness the silver corner pieces are sent to me by Carole
Coloring: Twinkeling H2O and Stampin up reinkers
Now.. you want to know what STAMPAVIE sponsored, right?
one of you can win both of those stamps (Sarah Kay new 2008 Christmas stamp and one Rachelle Anne Miller stamp)
See what the other prize in tomorrows posting.
Thank you
Claudia

Dolli

I love to watercolor the Sarah Kay images! I heat embossed the image first with black detail embossing powder and than colored the image with Stampin up reinkers in. On the bottom of the horizontal patterned paper i used a Martha Stewart punch that embosses and punches at the same time - i think the pattern looks nice with the die cuts from the Cuttlebug. The velvet ribbon is from the pretty new Raspberry Ribbon kit - it is up for sale now. There are really nice white ones and some antique colors in that kit.
Embellishments: Raspberry Ribbon kit
Some hardware: not good to see but one says "handmade with love" and a heart.
DP/CS: K&Company and Stampin up

Wishing you love and laughter

Thank you for all your nice comments on my card i made for a Thursday Challenge. Some of you emailed me or left wonderful compliments and asked how i made the card. The basic idea was shown to me by my Stampin up Demo in a workshop a couple of years back. I think there is also a tutorial step-by-step on Splitcoaststampers even with pictures. The card was very small and died not work for the bigger cute images "we" work with but makes a wonderful gift idea to put in a flower basket or attach to a present. The small version of this card can be worked from one complete sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper. This here needs 2 sheets.

Sorry ladies.. i had to take this picture off... i just heared from Jay Jay that we can not show those images at the moment. I will ask Heidi tomorrow about it. I was sent a lot of stamps with no clear instruction, which stamps i can show and which i have to wait because the licence is not cleared yet. I picked just one stamp i really really loved. hahaha... I will leave this posting up so you will have at least instructions on how to make the triangle card.

See i used Debbie's Die Cuts again on this project. If you like to go her blog and see what Give-a-way she has to offer this month!!

Stamps: Sarah Kay for STAMPAVIE, Curvy Verses by Stampin up
Embellishments: Chocolate Chip wide grosgrain ribbon, Swirls are by Debbies Die Cuts (love these have you noticed how often i used them already this month :-) Prima Flowers and Making Memories Brads
Paper: Basic Grey for Archivers, Pink Piruette, Chocolate Chip
Tools: Sewing Machine, Nestabilities, Stampin up horizontal slot punch
Coloring: Copics and Close to Cocoa for sponging

what i have done to make a bigger version of the triangle fold card is:
Supplies:
2 sheets of 8.5x11 cs in white (or other color you want to use as base)
cut each of it to size 5.0 x 10 and fold in half, you have now 2 stripes of paper each with a score marking creating 4 squares (2 on each panel) glue the two papers together (2 squares on top of each other) fold the other 2 squares in to see if they line up perfectly. than open again and cut your triangles with an exacto knife out. (use as reference my card)
1 sheet of 8.5x11 cs in pink and cut to size 5 1/4
use your ruler and Exacto knife to cut the square diagonal in half
1 sheet of 8.5 x11 cs in chocolate chip and cut to size 5.00 inches
cut this sheet also diagonal in half
1 sheet of DP cut cut to size 4 3/4
cut also diagonal in half
layer your DP with 1 layer of the contrasting CS and add sewing if you like. Add then this piece to the second contrasting CS. (this makes it easier on your sewing needle) and glue this on your card base. These cutting instructions work also if you want to decorate the inside of your card as well - just be careful if you have patterned paper were you see a direction how the pattern runs when you cut your diagonals. add your ribbon underneath your main image. In order to have the ribbon safely secured you should decorate the back of the card as well. This way the ribbon does not slide down. I solved the problem by adding an entire panel of DP to the back of the card and my ribbon is underneath this - meaning: white CS - ribbon - layers of DP. If you choose this solution you will need more DP and CS than i mentioned above. You could probably also just do a flower or a circular sentiment with a scalloped circle layered.
