♥ My Blues ♥

I bet you thought I was talking about me? lol Know I'm feeling better today, I guess I just let situations get me down but I have been doing some searching on the internet. The only thing that bothers me is there hasn't been enough time go by for to know if the bioidentical hormones are really safe.
Well, enough about that I have alot of pics to share so I don't want to keep on talking:)

I wanted to post today about the blues that I'm starting to put back into my decorating...the first one though is Samantha with her blue eyes, she got a hold of my camara and took a pic of herself...so innocent and beautiful all rolled into one! The first is a pic of my desk and blue chair with a really old quilt I found at the fleamarket on the ground...there is a date sewn on it of 1891 and the price was $10.00.
This basket I bought at JoAnn's, it had a house on the front which I took off then painted and stained it, love how it turned out!

I'm slowly but surely incorporating some blue back into the livingroom, kitchen and keepingroom...these are some blue canning jars above my kitchen cabinets.

This pegrack is in my guestroom...the baby Amish dress I've had for a long time.

The blue bowl I found on ebay and the wood America plate is a darker blue
...These are all in my dry sink.

My blue banded jug lamp a steal at $2.00!

A blue handled rolling pin, you don't see these to much and I've always loved it!

The blue clock in the keeping room goes well with the top of the stacking boxes:)

This is the top of my drysink and the sampler I made I put in a thingy that I got at the fleamarket, the guy said it had something to do with sheep, who know;) it's a neat shade of blue though.

My prairie doll that I brought out of the guest bedroom and put in an antique wicker youth chair her tag says...Faith a Prairie Doll.

Oh, the couch which is very comfortable I have no complaints there, I just wish I had chosen a neutral color but at the time I was thrilled with the blue denim:)

Well, that's all ladies I'm off to the post office to mail a package that needs mailed before tomorrow:
Have a wonderful Friday (TGIF) and great weekend:)

♥ Such a Sweetheart ♥

No, I'm not talking about my granddaughters, although they are, I'm talking about Susie from Libertylane Primitives this is the email she sent to me this morning...

I just wanted to let you know that my labels are FLYING off the internet shelves. I can't thank you enough for posting the info to my ebay and Lemon Poppy Seeds on your blog. I'm sending you out a set of my new Valentine Labels as a thank you. Susie
What a great way to wake up...thanks Susie you put a smile on my face this morning:)

I finally got my picture put up from Jennifer from Christmas...the little white box that is on the shelf has a cutout of a snowflake and I have a flicker light in it but it didn't show I have it there because of the weather we are having -6 with a windchill of -24 below, for those of you that have even colder weather I feel for you.lol All the schools around us are closed for the day so they have a 4 day weekend what with Martin Luther King Day on Monday:) I have been following the rule of using odd numbers such as 3,5 and 7 to decorate...sometimes I forget though but I must say it does work so soon I'll be taking the snowflake down...hopefully:) A side veiw, sometimes I don't like these high ceilings!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh...the mantel, do you have a place in your house be it corner or wall that just never satisfys you and is always a thorn in your side so to speak? Well, the mantel is mine, in length it is so long and hard to fill. Plus the brown brick wouldn't have been in the running if I had had to chose...I see that I have to much on the right and not enough on the left, maybe I'll add some fabric on the left side, I can't put any in the middle because of the fireplace insert heat. BTW I'm now glad Stush put it in, it is a cozy kind of heat and the furnace hasn't been on in a week!

Another pic of my shelf!

Decluttered here...this is where odd numbers work!

I love this long John basket, I've wanted one for quite a while...yes, $7.00 at the Country Store! I hung it on the side of my hoosier.

Well, that's all for today, not much going on around here, to cold, we are venturing out tonight for a birthday party for one of our friends, I need to get out of here for a while too...the Steelers play Sunday...go Steelers!!!
Have a great weekend too!

♥ The Shelf is Up and Bathroom Pics ♥

Hello everyone!
Stush just put my shelf up and I was so excited...especially to decorate it for Christmas:) I may tweak it later but for now this is okay. We have tall ceilings in the livingroom so placing it just so much work...I wanted it up high enough so that I could at some later date hang a prim towel from one of the pegs so I didn't want it to low to the couch bet yet again I didn't want it up to high, Stush said it looks bare now because I took all the pictures down but you know how you get when you want to change something to more prim.lol Here's a closer look...
I love the crock with the cinnamon sticks in it and the prim snowman, someday I hope all my snowmen will be prim♥ I also hope to paint in here in the spring!

The bathroom color has finally grown on me and I do like it now and I finally framed the sampler with Samantha's name...the tree is in a yellow ware bowl♥

I turned my crow towel around looks a little more Christmasy♥

I just added some greenery to the cabinet in here.

This is my entry way, I bought the holly garland at Jo Ann's for 1.98 they were all sold out of garland...I couldn't believe it:)

I shopped yesterday for hours at the mall then today I went with Michele just locally. Tomorrow I plan to wrap gifts all day:) I least I'll have three days of not doing anything but get ready for Christmas day:)
I hope all my blogging friends have a wonderful Christmas with their friends and family...you all mean so much to me. I love coming on here and reading of the ups and downs of each and everyone of you...thank you for sharing your lives with me.
~Merry Christmas! Just in case I can't get on here till after Christmas
