All week long the design team has been showcasing a new metal die set, Fancy Edges 2, you may have seen it in their projects, so today I will be using it on my card along with a few of our past released metal dies, Flowers -Rolled Roses and the Heart Border.
The music note measure stamp image from this set I used it to design my own background on the cardstock.
The three flowers are from the Rolled Roses metal die that was release at the beginning of May there are two sizes from this set.  The leaves are hearts from the Heart Border metal die the swirls are from that same die.
The flower border at the bottom of my card is from the new Fancy Edges 2 metal die there are 7 dies in this set.
The Music stamp set is beautiful, I love this sentiment it just makes me smile.
I used my Spellbinder metal die for these two large flower shapes, the die is called Blossoms Three.

Christmas in July

Hello everyone, this weeks challenge here at My Craft Spot is "Christmas in July", so to continue with the inspiration I have a lovely Christmas card to share with you, this card is also being posted over at My Craft Spot.
I used the Merry Christmas and the Mistletoe stamp sets, as well as the Small Alphabet metal die.
The tree image is from Miss Kate Cuttables the image can be found -HERE, the oval is a Spellbinder die lacy Ovals.
I love all the glitter and sparkle and card, and the non-tratidional colors. I tend to avoid glitter because of the mess, but oh when I see my finished product I love the look of the glitz and glamor it adds.
For the tree I've used Recollections Tinsel Glitter, the snowflakes each have fine glitter.
The sentiments that I used are from the Merry Christmas stamp set.
I used a woodgrain embossing folder for the tree trunk.
The stars and snowflakes are cut using the Small Alphabet metal dies, I added glitter to all those tiny dies.
The crinkle ribbon is Petal Pink, and the pink Jute twine glued on top my bow.
Side view of the card.
The inside sentiment is from the Merry Christmas stamp set and the tiny snowflakes if from the Mistletoe stamp set.
All stamp sets, small alphabet metal dies, crinkle ribbon and jute string that I used on my project can be purchased in the My Craft Spot shop -HERE.
Thanks so much for joining me today, please remember to head over to my blog for more creative ideas. Robin's Creative Cottage.

Chillin' Penguin My Craft Spot DT Project

Hi everyone, I seems so long since I've posted a project (really it has been so long since I have crafted). I have a few computer issues, and with the holidays life got quite busy... but I'm so glad to be crafting again and sharing a card with you.
Today brings another fun challenge at My Craft Spot, this weeks challenge...
Frosty Days
(Winter theme)

My card is this cute "Chillin' Penguin"
I cut my penguin at 3" from the Christmas Cheer Cricut cartridge... he's so cute with his rhinestone eyes and stickles added on his hat. The oval and scalloped oval are a spellbinders die, and the snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch and an old Stampin' Up punch that I've had for years.
I love the saying "Just Chillin'" from Kimberly's "Think Snow" Stamp set.
The denim crinkle ribbon and navy blue jute twine is also available from Kimberly store -HERE.
 Inside of card

Day 5 -My Craft Spot Release Party

Hello all my friends, I hope you have followed along this week for the fabulous Stamp Release Party for My Craft Spot, I know the design team and I have really enjoyed sharing so many inspiring projects with you, and today day 5, the inspiration continues.
We are showing a sneak peek with you of the new Mistletoe stamp set a lovely stamp set that is wonderful for your Christmas cards and projects.

Today I've created a simple country Christmas card with a patchwork background, it was fun to make.
For the patchwork background, I choose 4 patterned paper designs and cut each into 1 1/4" squares. Then cut a piece of cardstock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (that was my card front size). I added a small amount of adhesive to the back of each square then placed on the piece of cardstock, some of the squares were hanging over the edge, after all the squares were stuck gently on I just trimmed the edged that hung over.
Then using my sewing machine I stitched where each pattern paper meet, all the threads were taped on the back side. I attached the patchwork background to a folded 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock.
I love this beautiful saying from the Miseltoe stamp set, I used a spellbinders lacy oval die for the background that I stamped on, and used a bit of Tim Holtz Antique Photo ink for the oval center before removing the die from my cut out.
My poinsettia was cut in various sizes using Joys of the Season cricut cartridge, I inked the edges then sprayed generously using Bronze Glimmer Mist, then glued tiny yellow beads to the center of the flower.

Thanks for joining me for day 5 of my sneak peek, please join us tomorrow for the My Craft Spot blog hop where the design team will once again inspire you with a project using one of the 5 stamp sets, as well as each design team members (including myself) will be giving away one of the 5 stamp sets generously provided by Kimberly.

Today I've created a lovely Fall card with loads of leaves and acorns.
I used a spellbinder die image to stamp the saying on, it's a beautiful saying and could be used all year round.
The acorns were cut using the Create A Critter cricut cartridge pg. 32 cut in various sizes, I used my Cuttlebug Machine and the embossing folder Swiss Dots to emboss the top of the acorns, then inked the edges using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink pad.
Leaves were cut using Everyday Paper Dolls cricut cartridge pg. 35, I crinkled up the leaves a bit then inked them using the same ink pad.
The swirls are a metal die from My Favorite Things, Die-namics Fancy Flourish.
The brown border is a border punch from Recollections, which I used my sewing machine to sew over with a zig-zag stitch.

This little baby is wearing a "designer diaper".... oh she's so cute!
