Blog Hop Order:
Robin (you are here)
Here is a quick and easy card using the new Word Quotes metal die set as well as the new Fancy Edges 2 metal die set.
I have photo tutorials of how to use the Word Quotes on this post -HERE. check it out, you'll be glad you did.
The phone shape was cut using my Silhouette Cameo, I found the shape by just doing a google search.  I added a few lines and dots to the phone and also made a few faint score lines on each end of the phone as well.
I love the loopy phone cord, it's one of the metal dies from the Fancy Edges 2, there are 7 dies in this set, two of which are this loopy border shape, this is the smaller of the two. I did have to bend the loopy border a bit so I could get it to curve where I wanted before gluing it down.

I used the word die "hello" from the Word Quotes metal die set and cut it directly out of the printed patterned paper that was a 4" x 5 1/4" size, layered it directly on black cardstock measuring 4 1/8" x 5 3/8".  The card base was ivory cardstock size 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded.
Inside of the card, I added the same loopy border.
And now I'm so excited to give one of the new metal die sets away that I had the privilege of designing, this was donated by Kimberly -thank you Kimberly! Word Quotes metal die set (set of 4) will go to one fantabulous winner, for your chance to win, follow the steps below......

Day 2 -Robots ~New Release

I am loving this stamp release party and hope you are to! Today is day 2 of the party for My Craft Spot and we are giving you a sneak peek at another stamp set... Robots. This set is a fun block style font with sentiments that are perfect for Robot type of cards and projects.

All of the new stamps and metal dies will be available to purchase on Saturday

I couldn't resist grabbing my copper metallic cardstock again for this project, it was perfect for my gear images, I also used silver metallic cardstock.
I like the fun sentiment for this card.  Gears embossed background is an embossing folder made by The Paper Studio, the cardstock is make by Core'dinations, so after I embossed it I sanded so the core color would show through.
The gear images are cut using my Silhouette Cameo, the image was purchased from the Silhouette Online Store the images can be found -HERE. I also added a few gear image to the inside of my card.
Close up of the stamped image.
Thanks so much for visiting!

Congrats Graduate

Our family has had few busy weeks with many events and celebrations one of which was my baby girl graduated valedictorian Woo Hoo!  I'm so proud of her and her accomplishments.  We had wonderful family and friends travel for the occasion to congratulate her, and of course we shared good food and fun together.

I made a few graduation cards and treats for some close graduate friends.
For the graduation hat I used and image from Miss Kate Cuttables "Graduation Day" and cut it using my Silhouette Cameo machine.
I added an action wobble behind the hat to create a fun wobble affect, it's so fun to see all the graduates hats flying up in the air after graduation.

I used three metal die sets from My Craft Spot on my cards... the Congrats is from Big Words metal die, I cut it twice in black and orange then layered the orange over the black to give a shadow look.  The personalized name letters are from the Small Alphabet metal die, the torn notebook paper edge is from the Fancy Edges metal die. These metal dies are available from My Craft Spot Shop -HERE.
Inside of card, again the same Fancy Edges metal die for the torn notebook edge, I also distressed the edges of the paper as well.
Close up of the Congrats die cut image.
For the yummy chocolate treats I used sticker address labels (30 per sheet) along with my photoshop program and designed labels that fit perfectly over the Hershey's Nuggets.  I used the same graduation images from Miss Kate Cuttables for the labels.
Our delicious food, my daughters did a great job cutting up fruits and veggies and beautifully decorating the trays... everything was... mmmmm so good!
What an amazing day we had, I hope you get a chance to hug a graduate! :)

Today we're sharing a sneak peek of the Stamping All Around Spring 2 stamp set that I had the privilege of designing. I'm also featuring one more of our metal dies, Small Bow, this is a 3 piece set and makes the cutest bow it measures approx. 2 3/4".
Remember all new stamp sets and metal dies will be available for purchase at My Craft Spot on Saturday.

If you are familiar with our Stamping All Around stamp sets, the Spring 2 is the 5th stamp set in that series, these stamp sets coordinate with the Tiny Doilies metal dies.

I hopped onto the Silhouette store and found this cute caldron pattern and thought it would make a great "Pot of Gold" I cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo, I love how it turned out.
I used Toadally Green crinkle ribbon around to pot, the added the new Small Bow metal die image. I hung my "you're my pot of gold" saying which was stamped on the images cut out using the Tiny Doilies metal dies.

Christmas Shape Card -My Craft Spot Challenge

Hello everyone time for another fun challenge at My Craft Spot.  This weeks challenge is...
Christmas Shape Cards
I love making shape cards and this one is very simple, but I love the humble look, and the beautiful sentiments that I stamped using My Craft Spot stamp sets.
My silhouette image is from the Silhouette online store "Christmas Nativity (1 of 2) by Lori Whitlock" I stretched the image just a bit so it would make a taller size card.  I added a simple off set .24, I cut that shape once individually then welded two of the same images together to make the shape card.
The sentiment is from the new Joy Filled Christmas stamp set, I backed it with a small piece of burlap.
For the black silhouette image I used black vinyl, it's cuts beautifully and already has a sticky backing, I love using vinyl on cards.
Close up view of phrase.
This is the inside of my card, the sentiment is from Joy To The World stamp set, the star is from the Merry Christmas stamp set.
Thanks for visiting today, remember to head over to My Craft Spot to see more 'Favorite Techniques' projects made by the My Craft Spot design team -HERE. We would love you to join us for this weeks Christmas shape card challenge.

The sentiment is from the Christmas Banners Sentiment stamp set.
The tiny white snowflakes are from the Small Alphabet metal die set.

Sketch Challenge ~My Craft Spot Notebooks

Hello everyone, It's another fantastic Monday which brings a new challenge at My Craft Spot. This week is a "sketch" challenge.
Below is the sketch and I can't wait to show you what I created!

My daughter has gone back to college and I'm sending a care package to her and decided to include a gift for her and her new roommates. I made notebooks last fall see that post -HERE. The notebooks can be used for grocery list, notes to friends etc. My daughter doesn't really have 8 roommates, I'm just made a few extras :)
I used two of My Craft Spots stamp sets, Stamping All Around Spring and Friends & Neighbors. The metal dies I used are, Tiny Doilies and Small Alphabets, I also uses various colors of Crinkle Ribbon. All are available at My Craft Spot -HERE.
For the narrow note pads, I bought a pack 8 1/2" x 11" notepads from an office store and took it to my local copy store and had them cut the pads in to three long equal sizes, it was very inexpensive.
The cardstock base measures 6 1/4"x 11", scored at 3" and 3 1/4".
Notice the words "Enjoy it" on the inside bottom of the cover, it's from the Friends and Neighbors stamp set.
The doily and circle are cut from the Tiny Doilies metal dies, the flower is from the Small Alphabet Metal Dies, then added a rhinestone to the center of the flower.
The phrase is stamped using the Stamping All Around Spring stamp set.
The long patterned paper and long scalloped green cardstock were cut using my silhouette cameo, my own design. I placed crinkle ribbon down the center if the patterned paper, the colors I used are Sky Blue, Petal Pink and Buttercup.
I love these butterflies, they are cut from the Small Alphabet metal die.
The phrase is from Friends and Neighbors stamp set.

Remember to head over to My Craft Spot to see more 'Favorite Techniques' projects made by the My Craft Spot design team -HERE. We would love you to join us for this weeks challenge

On the Road Happy Birthday -My Craft Spot Project

Hello everyone, I'm sharing a quick and easy card with you, this is being featured over at My Craft Spot today.
I used the Sweet Sentiments #1 Stamp Set and the Tiny Banners and Toppers metal dies, both are available at in the My Craft Spot shop -HERE.
I was not able to be with my husband this year for his birthday so wanted to send him a fun travel type B-day card, and this is what I've come up with...
The birthday sentiment from the Sweet Sentiments #1 stamp set, the road signs are cut using the Tiny Banners and Toppers metal dies, then I used a pen to make stitching marks on each sign, the narrow poles are hand cut using brown cardstock.
This car shape is so fun! I cut it using my Sillhouette Cameo, the image is from Paper Piecing by Nikki, the image can be found -HERE. Window was cut using vellum cardstock, I sponged a light blue ink around the edges.
The pattern paper I used is from Farm House Paper Company "Fair Skies" 6x6 pad.
For the road I used a strip of burlap.
Side view of my card, I added foam tape to pop my car up from the card.
This is the inside of my card, I had cut the banner, and again the sentiment is from the Sweet Sentiment #1 stamp set.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, have a wonderfully creative day!
