Industrija :)

Ponavadi ne izdelujem ogrlic in podobnega v velikih količinah. Pravzaprav nikoli. Sploh pa ne enakih, večinoma niti podobnih ne. Trudim se, da so moji izdelki unikatni in vsak nekaj posebnega. Pa sem dobila priložnost, da pripravim kupček izdelkov za trgovino, in ker imam po raznih škatlah polno nedokončanih obeskov in koščkov, ki naj bi obeski šele postali, in ker so mi Kitajci zadnjič poslali cel kup že izdelanih vrvic, sem oboje združila in preseneteljivo hitro uspela sestaviti okrog 50 ogrlic oziroma obeskov na štrikcih. Različne barve, vzorci, tehnike, oblike - nekaj izdelanih že zdavnaj, nekaj bolj svežih... glavno da je izbira :). Fino jih je pogledat, ko kot velik grozd visijo skupaj in mi je že kar malo žal, da jih bom oddala - in zanimivo, da sem jih nekaj oddala še preden bodo uspeli priti do trgovine in še preden sem jih uspela poslikat. Zanimivo zato, ker je vsak, ki sem mu pokazala tale šopek, izbral kakšnega. Mogoče bi vedno morala imeti take šope ogrlic na zalogi? :)

Tele hecne obeske sem naredila že zadnjič enkrat, pa so kar obležali v eni škatli. Zdaj sem jih potegnila na plano in če bo vse po sreči, bodo dobili še nekaj bratcev in sestric in postali vesoljski obeski / ogrlice... karkoli pač že bi to lahko bilo.

Testiranje inka goldov na poli masi... prva runda, seveda v glavnem s srčki, ker je zdaj pač čas za srčke. Pekač za drugo rundo še ni zapolnjen, še čakam na malo več časa za igranje, idej imam pa že zdaj polno glavo. Luštna stvar, tale inka gold pasta, se dobro obnese tako na sveži kot na že pečeni poli masi, na papirju, kartonu in lesu - pa verjetno še marsikje, vseh možnosti še nisem imela prilike preizkusiti. Dobila sem jo pa... kar na dom :). Hvala, Kate!

Julie Picarello - Patterns in Polymer

Moj zadnji nakup na Amazonu je bila knjiga Julie Picarello - Patterns in Polymer: Imprint and Accent Bead Techniques, ki sem si jo med priljubljene dodala že nekaj časa nazaj. Par tednov nazaj je prispela in tole spodaj so rezultati mojih prvih poskusov. Sicer sem naredila še dva druga vzorca, pa koščki žal niso dobro uspeli, ker sem za izdelavo uporabila že prej zmešano peščeno barvo in pri tem pozabila, da je večji del te barve transparenta. Vse skupaj je kljub solidnemu vzorcu seveda izpadlo čisto preveč monotono. Izdelava teh vzorcev je preprosta in napeta, tako kot vsak rez pri mokume gane tehnikah, ker nikoli točno ne veš, kaj se bo prikazalo, ko zarežeš v svežo maso. Zato je verjetno kljub enostavnosti same izdelave potrebno veliko vaje in občutka, da lahko vsaj malce kontroliraš končni rezultat. Julie je carica s svojimi izdelki, jaz bom pa vsekakor še malo poskušala izboljšati svoje! :)

(P.S. Zdaj grem lahko oropat banko - po večurnem brušenju in poliranju koščkov prstnih odtisov namreč nimam več in ni šans, da me najdejo!)

Fimo / polymer clay flower garden 2

Moj vrtiček se je še malo razrasel. Že prejšnji teden sem spekla tele zadnje rožice, iz nekaterih celo sestavila ogrlice, vse skupaj pa zdaj čaka na moj čas in pripravljenost, da jih naprej obdelam. (Posamezne slikice lahko pogledate na flickr-u).

Prejšnji vikend sem v glavnem poležavala - nekaj me je ščipalo v križu, in ker sem že enkrat dala skozi močno hudo boleč križ (mogoče veste, pa upam, da vendarle ne, kako je, ko porabiš eno uro, da se iz kavča po vseh štirih priplaziš do wcja), si tega res ne želim še enkrat. Moram potrkat, sicer je čisto ok in me že dolgo ni bolelo, zdaj je pa verjetno tistih nekaj dodatnih zimskih kil, ki jih še vedno nosim s seboj, naredilo svoje. Glede na to, da je poletje že tako rekoč tukaj, je zdaj res skrajni čas, da jim napovem vojno in se jih nekako znebim :).

Tedni minejo, kot bi mignil - služba vsak dan, šola 2 popoldneva na teden že od oktobra, pa občasno malo učenja, Ninino jahanje ter moj tek in sprehodi po hipodromu 2x na teden, ko jo hodim iskat, pa seveda še moj Borut, sestavljanje ogrlic, pa Blue (naš cucek) in sem in tja kakšno gospodinjsko opravilo... in je kar naenkrat petek - potem pa spet takoj ponedeljek :).

Ta vikend sem si pripravila vse potrebno, da pripravim obljubljeni tutorial za bučkaste bunkice - pa ni bilo prave svetlobe za slikanje, računalnik oziroma program za gledanje slik direktno na monitorju me je znerviral do konca, ker ni prepoznal fotoaparata, ko ga pa je, pa ni zajel slike, tako kot bi moral in ko bi vse skupaj mogoče nekako delalo, je bila že čisto tema... skratka, cel kup tehničnih problemov mi je vzel voljo, da dokončam začeto. Bo treba počakat na naslednji vikend :).

Fimo / polymer clay flower garden

V eni od škatel z nedokončanimi koščki sem našla del cvetnega vrtička, ki sem ga začela delati že dolgo nazaj. Zdaj sem si vzela čas, da sem dodelala tiste stare koščke in naredila nekaj novih. In sem zadovoljna. Kaj bo nastalo iz teh beadsov, pa še ne vem... verjetno nekaj kosov nakita...

Another Fimo Pendant

I made this some time ago and love it. But... when I was making it I was not really thinking about how am I going to put the wire through. Once it was baked that was, of course, impossible. I was thinking about adding some more polymer clay at both ends when Kitty kindly sold me some buna cord and o-rings, which worked perfectly. Just few more silly beads and it will be done. Thanks Kitty!

Tole sem naredila že nekaj časa nazaj. Med delom seveda nisem kaj dosti razmišljala o tem, kako bom skozi obstoječo luknjico, ki teče sicer po celi dolžini kače, vstavila žico ali vrvico. Ko je bila zadeva spečena, je bilo to čisto nemogoče. To bi lahko sicer rešila z dodatkom fima na obeh koncih, pa se kar nisem spravila k temu. In me je rešila Kitty, ki mi je prijazno odstopila nekaj metrov buna corda in o-ringov (ki sem jih takoj potem še dodatno kupila v malo večji količini, ker so mi silno všeč in prav fino pašejo na razne obeske). Dodam le še nekaj bunkic in ogrlica bo končno končana. Hvala Kitty!

Few Pendants + Magnolia Card

My days are still so busy but I have finally put together some of the pendants. Still have few more to make, but they will have to wait until next week.






















Last night I was in the mood for some stamping, gluing and paper cutting - while I was chatting on the phone for quite some time, this card came to life. I like it and at least that hour and half was well spent in more than one way.

On My Working Table...

Past week or two were quite busy for me. I can't really tell what I was doing, but everyday there was something to do and somewhere to go.
I took some time for myself this weekend while Nina was away with school and I played with clay again. That's what's on my table at the moment and what I'm working on (the other part of the table, which you can't see on the pic, is of course a total mess!) :)

When I am done, I should have quite few pendants that will look like this one - except for the shape, color, pattern on it and ribbon :))

Box, Pendant, Picture and More Pendants

Yesterday I was in Velenje meeting with the girls from our creativity group. It was great to see them again and we had a wonderful time together. We had a "How to make a book" workshop and then watched photos from Rusia. In the meantime we ate a lot of delicious home made food and I learned how to make a wire pendants. I had to try that today and of course I didn't have just the right wire, but with some things from my stash they turned out quite ok. Oh, and we had two great swaps yesterday as well - scrapbook pages for memory books and 8th March swap. I got this cute picture, made of air dry clay (thanks Marta!):

And this is what I've made for our swap (cardboard box decorated with decorative paper K&Company and some ribbon with polymer clay pendant in it):















These are the two pendants I managed to made today (Natka, thanks for the instructions!). Yesterday I am going to the city to buy some more apropriate wire.

Latest Pendants

This is fun! No more nervous breakdowns because of the pics here on blogger. I don't know for others but I always had problems with loading and then arranging more pics at once. They were all around the site and every time it took me quite some time and patience to put them in order. And then I look at my site on my work computer and pics are not lined up! Now that's over, I'll use Slide more often. Anyway, here are some of my latest pendants... as usually, I gave some away before I could even took pics.

We are having Halloween party today with few friends. Of course it is going to be witch party with dresses, but unfortunately we don't have a pumpkin this year. They were either too expensive or too ugly. Oh well, guess we can have party without pumpkins, we have enough candles which will just have to do. Here are pumpkins I made last year:

No Title!

Few of the things I've made lately. I was not really in the mood for doing my crafts for quite some time, but now I am full of new ideas and energy for working. But as you can see, I have improved slightly in taking shots of my work and in Photoshop handling. It looks pretty cool, huh? Btw, most of the things here found their new home in Australia.

Pendants

Few of the pendants I made during the summer. These ended up in Australia as an exchange gift for what I got from there. Thanks again, Stu!

I was playing with brushes in Photoshop and made those that are used on this pic - it's a great thing! I just have to explore it a little further. Summer is ending, days are getting shorter and there will be more time for such things. It is about time I start playing with this blog and make it look better. Not that I know exactly how to do that, but I will figure out something :).


It's 8 am now. Nina left to school. I am at home, having a sick leave as I started with therapy for my back. Electric massages, stretching, aqua therapy, exercises - hopefully it will help! I started yesterday and it was quite ok, I was just very tired afterwards and pain was stronger for quite some time. I took a pill and it made me sick again... but I still hope this therapy will have some good results. Keep your fingers crossed, will you?

Ok, here are the pics of the things I've been doing lately. Polymer clay, of course. I work with Fimo because it's the only brand of polymer clay we can get here. I haven't tried other brands but Fimo works rather fine. Except transparent - I just can't figure it out. Perhaps I will after some more practicing. The results for now are just quite awful, so I'm not using it at all.

Anyway, first here are few sets of beads that I've made in last two weeks or so. I think they pretty neat, except the red/gold set which turned out too monotonous. I will try to combine it with more colourful beads and maybe I can actually make something with these beads as well. We'll see about that.

And some more pendants... the two on the right are finished, they just need to be put on something, I haven't decided yet what that would be.

Two of finished necklaces... I just love these beads, I really think they turned out really good. By the way, I was working with pink on request; my friend wants to have a necklace in such color, so I started with these pink beads.
