31 Days of Crafting - Day Thirty - Celebrate Style

Hi everyone!  I can't believe this month is almost over!!!  This is another card I made to donate to Cards For Soldiers.  It's a great organization to donate to!!

I love the way this turned out.  It's a little bit Barbie, a little bit Sex and The City.  People make rude comments about cards made with stickers, but if you use them wisely, they can turn out really cute I think!!

Just a few challenges:

  • Word Art Wednesday - #537 Anything Goes 1/5

  • Thanks so much for looking and happy crafting.  Laters!!!!

31 Days of Crafting - Day Twenty-Two - Celebrate You Fashionably

So this card?  Absolute accident.  I thought I wanted silver shoes, but they didn't go with the card I was working on.  They were just sitting in one of my (many) project trays when I plucked them out and made this card.  I love how it turned out and I feel with the colors it has a Barbie flair, which also makes me happy!

31 Days of Crafting - Day Eighteen - Timeless Fashion

Hi everyone!  I'm in a hurry today but I wanted to stop by and share another girly card with you!  This one is so fashionista, so Vogue magazine (and I hate Vogue magazine but you know).  I remember when the Louis Vuitton purses like that first came out.  God, we all wanted them.  I had a terrible knockoff but it made me happy!  Anyways, onto the card.

31 Days of Crafting - Day Two - Celebrate Glam

Hi all!  It's Day 2 of National Craft Month, and I decided that I kind of wanted my cards this year to have more of a theme.  So I thought really long and hard about it and I sorta settled on Icons.  Primarily focused on Barbie, but you may find a few others spread throughout.  I think it's going to be really fun to have more direction with my projects this year.  I'll see how it goes!  (I hope it goes well--I already have themes lined up for the next two years!)

I made this card to donate to Cards for Soldiers!  Everyone should look into this awesome organization to help out our deployed military!

Our Own Beauty - Brea Reese Brand Ambassador Post!

Happy Tuesday!!  I've got a new Brea Reese Brand Ambassador post for you today, celebrating National Hat Day!  I myself am not a big hat-wearing person, but I really wish I was!  I always love trying them on, but they just never look like "me", so I wanted to make a card celebrating someone gutsy enough to wear one!

So ya'all know I looooove my Glitter InksViolet, Ultramarine Blue and Lake Blue blended horizontally created the wintery background.  Now my stamped die cuts, I used lots of different products to color them.  Oh but first, I custom-colored my ribbon!  I used Violet Glitter Ink to tint my ribbon.  I used water to lighten the ink in spots, to create an ombre look.  This is a technique I haven't done in awhile but I think I should do it more often!

The sentiment tag, I colored first with the Metallic Watercolor Pan set, then I dropped on some Ultramarine Blue Glitter Ink while it was still wet so it would blend and wick, creating a bit of an icicle effect.  The girl was colored with the same watercolor set, except for the background which I painted first with Liquid Glitter and then blended Lake Blue Glitter Ink over it.  Metallic Brights Pens were used to add detail to her gloves and the snow.

I know it's hard to see in photos but this card just sparkles and shimmers, it's so pretty.

Be sure to check out the Metallic Brights Pens and all the other Brea Reese products!!  Thanks so much for looking and happy crafting.  Laters!!

Mema's Crafts BONUS Challenge - Prima Doll Tag

Happy Hump Day!  I'm so excited to share with you my BONUS challenge project for Mema's Crafts!!  We were sent a Prima doll stamp (I got Megan!) and a tag to create something, the only requirement being that we do some paper piecing!!   I knew instantly that I wanted to make a tag card.  I took a Prima tag I already had and added a brad and boom, instant card!!

Here's a photo of it opened, so you can see how well the ledger tag works for the inside.  Even gives you lines to write on :D

Now the fun of this BONUS CHALLENGE is that we're having a little contest amongst our DT.  In four days, there'll be an option to VOTE on the blog and the DT member who gets the most votes wins a prize!  So be sure to stop by and vote, even if it's not for me!  Everyone's work is fabulous.

I'm of course entering some challenges:
Thanks so much for looking and happy crafting.  Don't forget to go back and VOTE! :D  Laters!

    A Stylish Friend

YAYYYYY it's Friday!!!  I love the weekend.  Mostly 'cause I'm going to get new crafts this weekend.  I always love new crafts.

Anyways, craft supplies mean more projects.  I got a new embossing folder the other day and just HAD to use it on another Prima doll tag card.

I'm so into these tag-shaped cards right now, and I'm super excited to announce that I've added them to my shop on The Craft Star! It's always fun to advertise a new listing.

I'm also entering challenges of course:

    Simple Style

Hi all.  I was trying to watch the 100th episode of Glee, but it was too horribly done so instead I made this card to add to my OWH box.  I'm trying to make over 400 cards JUST for that this year!

Isn't it sharp? I like that it's good for all occasions, and it's flashy but not glittery, as that's not allowed.  It was a quick card, too.  Love those.

Thanks so much for looking. I'm off to try and get through this ep of Glee.  Ugh.  Laters!
