**CASE ANOTHER CARD FROM THIS HOP** My Favorite IG Hop

Greetings crafty friends, this week on “My Favorite Hop” we are CASEing a favorite card from this hop from another designer. We love to support each other and this was the perfect way to give a friend a spotlight. We will be sharing our version of their card and a screen shot of their card so you can see how we were inspired.

I was extremely excited about this theme because I am so inspired so much of the time by other card makers. I wanted to choose a card to CASE that was unlike something I had made before.

This is the card I made.

This is the card I CASEd.

I searched through so many amazing cards before I finally chose this fabulous card from @thecraftacularcreator I loved how it was an atypical shape or size (I made mine close to a slimline card) and all the pink! Thank you Vicki for the fabulous inspiration!!!

We create fun and inspiring projects, and hop along every Sunday at 12 noon EST, so if you would like to join us and share a craft featuring your “favorite”, please contact @sarae.furr_thecraftyfarmchick .

**MY FAVORITE HOP** Favorite Fun Fold

Happy Sunday everyone!  It's time another My Favorite Hop on Instagram hosted by @sarae.furr_thecraftyfarmchick.  This week our theme is Favorite Interactive Card!

My favorite is definitely an easel card.  It had been awhile since I'd made one and this was so fun.  This paper is from Spain and isn't it just GORGEOUS??!  I'm getting serious live action BATB vibes rather than the cartoon and I'm totally here for it!

This image, though CLEARLY Belle, also gives slight Ever After vibes, right?? The painting?  You see it too, don't you?

I thought that sentiment was perfect for the prettiest princess.

The rose in the cloche, I love it.  Super sentimental for me.

I wanted to show the whole inside of the card where I put a space to write.

Be sure to hop through all the cards on Instagram!  Thanks so much for looking and happy hopping!  Laters!!

I'm A Creative Influencer for Kat Scrappiness!!

Hi everyone!!  I'm so excited today to share that I'm now a Creative Influencer with Kat Scrappiness!  I've been obsessed with Kat's shop since I discovered it a few years ago, she's got amazing dies, shaker bits, paper pads and more.

She recently released a whole Magical themed collection, and you know how much I love allllll things Disney so of course I'm obsessed with it!

Check out all the little Minnie and Mickey shaker bits 😍

This paper pad has such a luxe look and feel to it, it's almost glossy.  I know I'm going to go through a ton of them because I am obsessed with it!

**SUMMER SOIREE IG HOP** Week Three - Fireworks!

(everybody sing the [slightly annoying] Katy Perry song with me:  Baby you're a fiiiiiiiiiiiiirework!  Come on let your collllllllllllors burst!)

Don't mind me, just rocking out over here 😎

Anyways, welcome to our Summer Soiree Cardmaking Hop, hosted by @createwithkas.  For Week 3, we are enjoying celebrating all things patriotic!  Fireworks, BBQs, 4th of July, your country's colors or Red, White and Blue.  This theme was suggested by Kelly and if it inspires you, please use the hashtag #summersoireecardmakinghop2024.  To join us, message @createwithkas

I am, as you probably know, a HUGE Disney fan.  To me, Disney and fireworks are synonymous.  I got this die on Etsy a few years ago, and I absolutely love how the patterned paper poops behind the white glittered die cut.  The yellow-gold windows in the castle remind me of how Walt's office is always lit up at the theme parks.

It's Fun To Do The Impossible with Dies R Us!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Lisa here, with a magical easel card.  I wanted to break out an oldie-but-goodie die from my collection, so I grabbed my Spellbinders Polka Dot Frame Die set and started brainstorming.

Now I said this is an easel card, so when you bend the top up and rest it on the sentiment tag inside, it looks like this:

This die cuts and embosses, so at first I cut and embossed a frame out of white Neenah 80lb cardstock.

After picking out my die, I knew I wanted something Disney inspired, so I dug through my Echo Park paper collection and pulled out a sheet with cut-apart sentiments.  As you can see though, the white didn't really pop.

So I switched to red cardstock and it made a huge difference.  I glued the white one to back of the red for stability.

Almost looks like chipboard with the dimension.  I love it.  I decided to add even more detail to the frame with paint pens.  The ones I used are by Dylusions but I'm sure that any would work.

I did go over the white a couple of times to make the dots bolder.  This is why I love die cutting so much, there are so many things you can do to cardstock to make it suit your project.

Onto the easel card itself.  If you've never made one before, they're actually really easy.  You just make a top-folding card--mine is 5"x7"--and then cut another piece of cardstock to 5x7, that will be the easel topper.

Here you'll see my top-folding 5x7 card on the left--I scored the front panel in the middle at 3.5".  On the right is that flat 5x7 panel where I'll be adhering my frame.

I took this last photo too to show you how I made the top-folding 5x7 card.  If you were thinking I had cardstock that was at least 14" long, I don't!  I cut two pieces from an 8.5x11 sheet of 110lb cardstock and pieced them together to create my card base.  That seam is in the back, you don't even notice it.

The easel stand of the card was created with another sentiment from the same sheet of patterned paper I showed you earlier.  Just matted on some cardstock and popped up on foam tape.

I hope this card inspires to try making an easel card with any of the fun and amazing dies that Dies R Us carries.  --Lisa
