Challenge #11 Two Quirky Sketches!

Welcome back everyone to another Quirky Crafts Challenge. This one has been set by me, Lyn (Spyder) so I hope loads of you will come and join in. It's easy, so there's no excuse! It's a fortnightly challenge so there's plenty of time!
I usually choose a sketch so I won't disappoint, I've not only chosen a sketch this time too, but with a little twist, I have two sketches for you! You can do them both or just chose to do one. Don't forget we love to see your cards but also welcome any kind of craftiness! ATC's, Fat Pages, Scrapbook Pages, Inches, Tags, Altered Art, whatever (as long as you use at least one of the sketches)!! We want to see what you can do!!
You can enter the challenge as many times as you like. You may flip or turn the sketches, we don't mind just as long as we can see you've followed them. Told you it was easy!
We have a fabulous sponsor for this Challenge, which means prizes!
The winner of the Design Team Choice will win a Quirky Guest Designer place, a winners badge and...
Any 3 sets from

The Public Voted winner will also be asked to join us as a Guest Designer and have a winners Badge for their sidebar.
Here are some fantastic examples from our latest Guest Designers for this challenge and of course as always, from Cazzy, Dianne, Caro, and me! Please pop over and visit our blogs, there's always something to see and of course you'll always find a weekly freebie on my blog!

Guest Designer Dawn used the It's About That Time Set from our sponsor with the first sketch to make this stunning monochrome card, see more images on her blog.

Guest Designer Lisa used the One Spring Day set from our sponsor with the second sketch to make this fun card full of 3d flowers.

Cazzy used One Spring Day images for this spring showers card.

Dianne
Has used the first sketch and the tree from the 'One Spring day ' set 7 for this Welcome Spring card, coloured the tree herself and used a sentiment from 'One Spring Day,coloured' set 2.
Caro
has made a scrapbook page using the first sketch with a collage of flower photos from her garden and elements from the One Spring Day set from our sponsor.

Spyder
I've made three cards. On this card I've used the 'It's about the Time, Clocks' set from our sponsors along with the second sketch
I've used the same 'Clocks' in the second card and the same sketch, but have added 'It's About That Time, Big Circles' cut out using Nesties and Woodware punches and placed the clock over itUsing the first sketch on this New Home card, Lyn used the tree from the 'One Spring Day, Coloured' set

That's what we've done, so now it's your turn! Look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Come back and vote for your favourites on Friday 3rd June after 18:00 or Saturday 4th of June before 17:00 BST.

Oh and by the way if you can't vote on this post you need to click on the big lovely Mr Blue Froggy just below this and it will take you to the collection where you will be able to vote. Only one vote per entry is allowed, and if you think you have voted twice don't worry it won't count them both!

Quirky Crafts 2011: Challenge 5 - Alice in Wonderland

Hi everyone, it is challenge time again, and thanks for all the amazing and wonderful entries we had for the last challenge! It was difficult to choose an overall winner, you are all worthy!

The challenge this time is called Alice in Wonderland. You may have read the book by Lewis Carroll, or seen a film version, but if not you can use Google to find out a little about it. What we want you to do is base your entry on something found in the story, for example the white rabbit, the mad hatter's tea party, the Queen of Hearts, the playing card courtiers, you can find rabbit images, playing cards, a stop watch, drink me, eat me type things to use on your project. Any craft project can be entered into the challenge.
We are really looking forward to seeing what you all do with this theme, so please add your link and photo to this post using the blue Inlinkz frog below.

Inlinkz is a great tool for displaying your entries, I am sure you agree, and easy to use. Unlike other tools the entries continue to be displayed on the post after the closing date, and you can enable public voting.
If you would like an Inlinkz account for your blog (and it works in different types of blog) please use the button in the left hand side bar to go and register. Registering this way will help the Quirky Team to keep using Inlinkz for all of you to use on this blog.

We have another great sponsor this time and they are The Stamping Boutique and here is some information on our sponsor:
Tracey Malnofski's resume reads like a whose who of the Stamping Industry. Besides being the owner and a designer for The Stamping Boutique, she's also a stamp artist for Unity Stamp Company and has also worked for InStyleStamps, Squigglefly, and The Digi Shack. Her "Boutique" has it all - fairytale, whimsy, sentimental . . . and Candy! I do not envy the winner who has to choose digi stamps from all those delicious choices. Yep! A winner will be randomly selected to win 5 digital stamps of their choice from Tracey's Boutique!

Here's what Tracey says about her Stamping Boutique.
"The Stamping Boutique" is dedicated to quality products and original artwork. We not only provide wonderful digital images in our store, but also several lines of red rubber
images. Our designers are chosen for their character and personality, as well as, their beautiful designs. We work hard to give you our very best. Thank you so much for having us as your sponsor this week.

Quirky Crafts 2011: Challenge 4 - Recycled Romance

It's Challenge time again here at Quirky Crafts! It was a great turnout for our last challenge, with some gorgeous makes, so thank you everyone who entered. There seemed to be a little confusion as to which challenge some of you were entering so hopefully this will make it clear. Each challenge lasts nearly two weeks, going live on Sunday evening and entries closing on Friday evening when you can come back and vote for your favourite three entries. So this new challenge will be open for entries until Friday 25th February (Rules for challenge entry are in the side bar). Now onto this week's challenge

Quirky Crafts 2011: Challenge 4

which was set by me, Caro. We have a lovely sponsor for this challenge.

Digital Delights are creators of some gorgeous digital stamps. The winner of the Design Team vote will be able to chose 3 digital images of their own choice from this fabulous collection. The DT were given the opportunity to work with some of these images and they are lovely.

Now what is the challenge? Well with Valentines Day tomorrow most of you have probably made your Valentines cards, but we are still feeling romantic so we thought we would continue with the romance theme with a twist...

Recycled Romance

This means we would like to see anything Romantic (hearts, weddings, engagements, Valentines etc) with a recycled element on your card. Specifically we would like to see something that is not normally crafty: think packaging, inside of coloured envelopes, bubble wrap, newspaper, the metal from tomato purée tubes, seeds etc. Make sure you tell us on your blog what you recycled on your creation, just in case we can't tell!

Rules for entering our challenges are in the side bar and we reserve the right to remove any links that don't follow the rules, although we will tell you so you can enter something else. Don't forget, we love to see all your cards but we also accept anything crafty as long as it fits into the current challenge. That includes ATC's, Altered Art, Fat Pages, Scrap Book Pages, Magic boxes, Tags, Book Marks, in fact anything crafty you can think of!

Here are a few creations by our Design Team to give you inspiration.

Caro's altered photo frame with cardboard hearts recycled from a parcel

Diane's lovely card with recycled cardboard and string and an image from our sponsor

Lyn's used a cardboard heart from packaging, flowers made from parcel paper, sweet wrappings and newspaper, ribbon from a jewellery gift box, tiny hearts punched out from packaging, and golden hearts, which were die-cut from a photo glue tube! Lyn has also used an image from our sponsor

Guest Designer Barbara with her gorgeous card, which uses a zip, doily and some foil wrapping and Barbara has used a digi image from our sponsor.

Guest Designer Lena Katrine used a button from a child's outgrown garment and some tulle from an old skirt on this very romantic card.

Caro's ATCs using recycled cardboard from a parcel, lace from a table mat, gold tinsel from a Christmas cracker and a label from a skirt, as well as two different digi images from our sponsor.

Cazzy's altered chocolate box, with heart and wings cut from tissue boxes and old book page.
