Challenge #21 Frame It Winners

I was blown away by all of the gorgeous entries to my challenge, didn't you do well! After looking at all of your lovely entries the team have all voted for their favourites and the votes added together to find our top three prizewinners.

I would like to thank both of our wonderful sponsors for generously allowing the team to use their images to create some fabulous examples, so a big thank you to Bugaboo and The East Wind.

There are two firsts for me today, this is the first time there have been so many entries to one of my challenges, you clearly loved it! The second first (or should that be the first first) was that the voting for the first place was unanamous, every one of us - that is the 5 DT and Myriam, our 2 month guest designer - voted for Amanda!

After that everyone voted for a different favourite 5, with only a few getting more than one vote, which made it very difficult to come up with second and third, but after sorting the spreadsheet and consolidating duplicate lines we got there!

Myriam's two months is nearly over, and we will be looking for the next 2 month Guest Designer, so if you would like to be that Guest Designer and find out what it is like to be on a DT without the full responsibilities, or if you just would like a short term position, then go to the tab at the top of the page and add your link. If you want more details just ask and I will send them to you.

We have a number of unclaimed badges and prizes from the past two or three challenges, please check to see if you were a winner and contact me.

Without further ado, here are our top three:

Our first prize winner is Amanda with a gorgeous  altered steampunk frame that we unanamously voted as our favourite.

Congratulations Amanda, you have won 7 images of your choice from Bugaboo!

Our second place winner is Papersniffer, with a lovely snowy shaker card.

Congratulations Papersniffer,  you have won 3 gorgeoush images of your choice from The East Wind.

In third place we have Sylvia with another gorgeous altered frame. It truely is "Frame at last".

Congratulations Sylvia, you have won 2 images of your choice from Bugaboo.

Please all of you email me (Cazzy) using the email link in the sidebar, or comment below or by contact form if the email doesn't work for you. You will be send your personalised winner's badge, and I will arrange for you to get your prize.

We would love all of you to be guest designers in the next challenge, please tell us if you can. If you are interested in the 2 month guest place you can tell me that too, if you don't want to add your link on the 2 month GD page.

Thank you to everyone who entered, and don't forget to check back later today to find out about our new challenge!

Challenge #21 Reminder to Let's Quirky Frame it.

It is reminder time and I want to see those frames, in your image, round your image - lets Quirky frame it!

I forgot to find a video last time, but how about this one?

Here is a reminder of our sponsors and prizes.

Our first prize winner will win:
7 images from Bugaboo.

Our second place winner will win:
3 images from The East Wind.

Our third place winner will win:
2 images from Bugaboo.

Now it is time for some more inspiration for you.

This card features a window frame, the image is from Bugaboo of course and is called Snow Friends Window. Look at the snowfolk peeping into the room! Ribbon by Crafty Ribbons.

Here is a spooky creepmas card, and I am not sure who I will give it to! The image from Bugaboo is called Make it Snappy - Skelekinz Merry Christmas. The image has a built in frame, which I coloured blue with Promarkers and added dots of Distress Stickles.

This beauty is from The East Wind and is called Kettle Mon Amour. This time my frame is a die cut one. Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.

For my first reminder project, I made a Christmas tree frame card and added this beautiful "Christmas Kettle Mon Amour"digi provided by our sponsor "The East Wind". I love all the shimmer and bright of the Christmas season, so I used red and green glitter cardstock for the frame and the base; and added more shimmer with glitter tule. I colored the digi with Prisma Color pencils (trying to improve my shades, still a lot of practice to go".

For my second reminder project, I a flourish frame card and added a pair of animal print high heels to honor the funny sentiment from the "Frame it-Cinderella" provided by our sponsor Bugaboo. The digi is also colored with Prisma Color pencils, and for the background I used a little distress ink.

Hello every one, this is Doris and I want to share with my reminder projects. For my first one, I used this awesome image from Bugaboo, and you can find it, just clicking here: Fairy-Christmas_p_3826.html. For this image I used a few colors and for the shadow I just used the IG3 marker color.

My second one is a gorgeous image from THE EAST WIND and, she is Digital Stamp- Lucy Loo 'Queen of hearts' -300dpi jpeg/png fi.... . As the last week, I´m using the Spectrum Noir markers and, I used the Ice Gray colors for the main image. I also used the DR7, DR6 and CR11 for the red details. Have a colorfull week!!!
Here's my second make for this Frame It Challenge using Lucy Loo Mirror Mirror from The East Wind. I've cut her out and fixed her to some really shiny mirror card, added eyelash wool, gems, glitter and a corner die-cut.

And here's my third card, using a Bugaboo Harry Potter digi in its own frame. The paper, or card I've used came from a TV craft program some years ago and this is the first time I've used it. I've 3D-ed Harry and his owl, printed him out over some blue snowflake paper by PinkPetticoat, added Glossy Accents to his glasses, stars, loads of Stickles Glitter, a pompom and my own sentiment in the blank space.

A chocolate box for my friend on her graduation!!! I used the Ava grad diploma stamp from Bugaboo!

I love Paris. I hope I can be there someday!!! I used Lucy Loo Voyage from The East Wind.

Hi! I used for this reminder, Aurora Siesta from The East Wind. I coloured with acuarelable pencils.

I love this adorable digi. =)

For my second project,  I used Fairy Christmas from Bugaboo Digi Stamps.

This beautiful digi, it's coloured with acuarelable pencils.

Scene-it--AKV-halloween-scene from our great sponsor.Hello everyone!! For this amazing challenge, first I want to say I had a really fun time. Then I chose the stunning Scene-it--AKV-halloween-scene  from our amazing sponsor Bugaboo. As each week I worked with Spectrum Noir markers and of course, I used a green frame as a requirement challenge. I invite you to have fun, participating of our challenge.

My second project is a reminder cork frame in which I used the digital-stamp-lucy-loo-scent-of-spring from our sponsor THE EAST WIND. Enjoy the challenge!!

For my first card I used Lucy Loo Mirror Mirror from The East Wind. I coloured Lucy with Promarkers and Spica pens and mounted her on an arch card, added lace and buttons, and here we have a little spooky card! Lucy is emerging from a mirror frame.

I used  Make it Snappy - Hay There from Bugaboo for my second card, which is one of the Frame It range of images which comes with a built in frame. It comes with the sentiment and blank so you could use your own. Once again it is coloured with Promakers, and simply mounted on designer paper.

For my first project I used the lovely Aurora Vine from our sponsor The East Wind. Colored with Prismacolor pencils. I add a little bit of 3d crystal lacquer to add some dimension to the collar and the head flowers.

For my second project I used Frame it.-Marilyn Quote from  our sponsor Bugaboo. Colored with Prismacolor pencils. To add some dimension, I 3d Marilyn`s head.
Lyn
Here's my first card. I've used a Bugaboo framed image, coloured with Promarkers. I used the same colours to make the strippy paper as I used to colour the digi.  The black card is also a frame. Both the guy and the woman, plus the cup have been 3D-ed

Hi! I used for my first project. Aurora Daisy. From The East Wind. I coloured with acuarelables pencils. I used a frame to make a card.

Challenge #15.- The Quirky Silk Road.- Reminder

Hi Quirky friends!!! It´s Monica here, to remind you about our Quirky Challenge.

The Quirky Silk Road

It´s a challenge where any project is allowed, but Oriental theme. Just show us the treasures and wisdom of Orient cultures: China, Japan, India, Korea, etc..

This challenge is sponsored by:

The prizes for this challenge are:

1st place everything in this photo (stamps, ribbon, buttons) from That Craft Place

2nd place: 3 images from Squigglefly
3rd place: 2 images from The East Wind

And now the Design Team:
Lyn

Remember last weeks creation? I'd run out of all my ice grey Promarkers and didn't have enough colour to 3D her. Well here she is again, but this time finished! I've 3D-ed her hair (My Promarkers arrived!!) and changed the colour of her book, (here's about five layers in all) and added a little tag, loads of stickles glitter and a few peel-offs, coins and fans, which I really think do make a difference.

My second card will be along in a little while...it's a cute cat!!
And here it is!! (added Tues 29th July)

This time I used Mewshu Pork cat from Squigglefly
I've also added one of their sentiments too.I've 3D-ed the little kitten and added him to papers from a crafting magazine. (Link to freebie download on my blog) The peel-offs look like brads. I fixed them to paper I'd coloured with a matching Promarker colour and used silicone glue to add to the card so they pop out a little.

Cindy

Isn't this little guy adorable?  The background is made of a napkin and the kitty image is called Tuxedo Sleeping Cat by Unky.

 Monica

Once I had promised Unky, The East Wind owner and designer, that I will make one of her lovely digis in a vinyl project. Well, here it is.

For this project I used this stunning digi "Kigsen mon amour Korean hanbok". It wasn`t easy to "weed" (clean vinyl process) because all the lovely digis details. I spend almost 3 hours weeding, but I love how it turned out. It's height is 7 inches and I applied it to a Chinese dish I bought on Costa Rica Chinatown.

For my second project, I made a shaped card using the digi "China characters: Beautiful" provided by our sponsor Squigglefly. To embellish the card I made an origami kimono doll.
You can find a tutorial to make the origami doll here.

Cazzy

For my first reminder card I used Lucy Loo Fire Dancer from The East Wind. I printed her in two sizes and this was the largest, she is still very intricate to colour and I think she needs to be bigger still!
I coloured her with Promarkers, added a bit of Spica pen to the flames for sparkle then rough cut her out to go on the dark background. The paper is more (other side of red double sided) Papermania, and so are the stickers.

For this masculine birthday card I used Junk Boat from Squigglefly with Chinese Happy Birthday from Squigglefly also. Both are coloured with Promarkers and I added a few waves with a white Prismacolor pencil.
I die cut the Junk Boat after marking the part that came outside the die which I cut around manually afterwards.
Paper is Papermania, and it has a slightly metallic sheen. The sentiment is not straight but the Affixit tape is so instantly permanent that I daren't try and peel it off to straighten it! I added a Chinese coin charm, might be Woodware.
