For some inspiration we share our projects with you:

Design Team:

This is my this week project and this time I used the WINDOW SILL SHAPED CARD SET....TEMPLATE - CUTTING FILE from our sponsor: The Cutting Cafe

I really love to be in my house, it´s one of my favorites places, so for me it´s really "home sweet home". Also Christmas is my favorite season. In my project, I mixed both, using 3d House Set  cutting file provided by our sponsor.

My House. I love houses with gardens and many flowers.
The cutting file is used 3D HOUSE SET sponsor CUTTING THE COFFEE, thanks.

This time I made a tall house from the 3d houses set from our wonderful Sponsor The Cutting Cafe, and used the wreath and one of the sentiments, and one of the trees from the set for a Christmas tree. This house is the opening version, the roof opens so I can fill it with treats or a gift for Christmas.

On the back I added a Christmas Sentiment Shape tag which I inked with red on the bottom of the stocking, I love this verse.

Do you like my snow? It is Flowersoft Polar White, the only Flowersoft I own. The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons a long time ago, they have lots of gingham ribbon still.

For this occasion I would like to remember that feeling back home, the window illuminated by a candle , which invited into the home. I put the card in a Guaria Morada, the beautiful national flower of my country, which decorate many of the houses and is prized for its beauty.

GUEST DESIGNER

MARTHA

Martha made such a cute little house full of love using the 3d Houses file set, look at those roof tiles. We love it Martha!

DESIGN TEAM:

For me the perfect house is full of windows, light and air, so for my project I choose "Window Sill Shaped Card" cutting files, provided by our generous sponsor.

For my project I made a WINDOW SILL SHAPED with many colorful flowers, thanks to our sponsor THE CUTTING CAFE

To my project I used 3D House Set.
I made  a little house of dreams, full of flowers and some details with pink crystals representing small candies, such as sweet  should be a home .

For this week, I chose the 3D House file, from our amazing sponsor The Cutting Cafe. Come to my blog for more detail.

Cazzy will be along later - once she has mastered her new machine! Well that took a little longer than I hoped, but here I am!
Here it is at last, and probably could be better but not bad for a start. I made the smallest house from 3d Houses, and didn't make it open. I've added mosaic for the path, little flowers and dots of pink Liquid Pearls. I added lace round the box base and ric rac to the house.

Side view....

...back view with "gravel" path. the ric rac isn't quite right, looks worse now I see the photo!

Challenge #18.-Red red wine!!!!

Ok everybody, grab your wine glasses and...

This new challenge is all about wine. We want to see wine glasses, wine bottles, people with wine glasses, grapes, etc. But also, it could be any project with wine or red colors.
So let´s have toast in Quirky´s behave and let´s star working.

Our sponsor for this challenge is CRACKER BOX PALACE.

And the prizes are:

First place: 3 digi images from Cracker Box
Second place: 2 digi images from Cracker box
Third place: 1 digi image from Cracker box

And now let´s see our team inspiration:

GUEST DESIGNER

DESIGN TEAM

I'm not a wine drinker, but tried to make a card that would be good to give along with a bottle of wine as a gift.

MONICA

CHEERS!!!!!
For my project I used the wine bottle, the wine glasses and the grapes provided by our sponsor to make a popular box card (for a long time I refused to make this card because everybody is making it, but I must said I love how it turn out with this digis. This 3d card gives a perfect sense of a real toast).

I thought I would make a bottle shaped card, which I coloured with Promarkers, and printed again on acetate and parchment. The acetate went on top of the coloured image and the parchment lable was cut out to go on top. I added some foil to the lid. I put the words Vin Rouge and the grapes, also from our sponsor, on the lable.
The card needed lining inside to hide the markers from the other side, so I printed the two bottles again on parchment, this time I added the two funny sentiments from our sponsor, I love the tick list, which isn't in focus here so I will take another photo when I can.

The back of the bottle, and I used the wine glass here, the glossy accents on the glass are dry now!
A photo outside the mini studio in an attempt to see the true colours.

For my project I used a glass and I put the word Vin Rouge. As elegant color red wine evoke us romantic moments.
I've made this card, no glue used at all as it's all been printed straight on the matt photo card and coloured on the computer.. I just had to use this Bugaboo image with the sentiment, the grapes, the wine bottle and the words on the wine bottle, (very small but can be made a lot bigger!)  from our sponsors.

Challenge #18 2013 I like to {Quirky} Move it, Move it, I like to Move it!

Cazzy here, and it is challenge time once more, and I have that song from Madagascar stuck in my head, I often sing it to the dogs when I want them to get a move on!
(If you would like to find out who won the last challenge click HERE or scroll down to the next post.)

Well the challenge: I want to see things that move on your project, they can be very clever slidey  or mechanical things, or just something like a flap that opens to reveal something you pull out, drawers, or a pull out tag that is hidden until you pull it out. You could even make one of those old fashioned theatre stages that I had as a child, with paper actors that move around.

Our very generous sponsor this time is The Cutting Cafe.

The Cutting Cafe are giving the top three winners 3 sets, 2 sets and 1 set files, and those files have so many images and sentiments in them, they are very versatile.

We are excited to welcome two new team members:

First we welcome Valou who is with us for 4 challenges having applied for the 2 month GD via the tab at the top of this page. Welcome Valou - we hope you have some fun with us.

Secondly we are thrilled to welcome back the very talented Monica Soto as part of the Design Team, Monica was a 2 month GD earlier this year and we loved her work. Monica was invited and accepted the position only a few days before this challenge, and had the option of starting from the next challenge, however she wanted to have a go and  managed to make a wonderful card in very short time!

So lets have some inspiration from the team:

Guest Designer Karal

Karal used A Bunch of Monsters to make this clever and fun slidey turny card, Karal we love what you did, thank you for joining us!

Guest Designer Jennifer

Jennifer was unable to print the sponsor's images due to printer problems and has used her own, and she said: I have made a suspension card, so sent 2 photos to show both sides of portion that twirls. also, the pinwheels turn, so there is motion there too. Jennifer we love that you managed to get so much movement into your card, and the mini pinwheels are adorable, thank you for joining us!

Now the Design Team (in alphabetical order):

I decided to make a pop up card, the first I have made. I found the mechanism on SCS, I hope I did it right. The cake on the front of the card is from Birthday Fun.

Inside the card the monsters are from a Bunch of Monsters, their party hats and balloons are from Birthday Fun, as is the backing paper, the circle sentiment round the pop up monster is from Bunch of Monsters.
Daire - will be along later.

Here is a rubbish video of the card, have a good laugh!
For this week, I have prepared a Spinner Card. It is a nice card for which use a small monster, image courtesy of our sponsor The Cutting Cafe. Using adhesive foam and two coins, we have this beautiful card. I also added some interplanetary elements, for the purpose of our friend feels like at home!

Lyn
has computer issues, will be along later
(No...Lyn's been away dog sitting and didn't take her laptop! )
I've used one of the monsters  and  circled sentiments from our sponsors on the front of my card, added arrows and made  very simple spinning wheel.
 And on the inside....
More Monsters popping out of the card...they all wobble... honest!
Papers are all PinkPetticoat, even the inside of the circle, everything else was coloured with ProMarkers

Monica

I used some monsters of the Monster Collection, working the paper piecing technique. I made a cascade card (my first one -a little tricky). And the sentiment I loved since I saw it: "You bring out the Monster in me",  traced it and cut it out in green vinyl.
A short video to show this card movement

I chose to use the file " Birthday Fun " available HERE. I used the cake stand and cake shape to create a slider card, the cake slides up to reveal the stand! I also used a complete cake and stand shape to decorate the large cake. I also used Magnolia Tilda, Bazzil and printed papers, lace, pearls, die cuts and punchies, as well as glitter and a doily. The full details are on my blog.
