Modern Quilt Month: Bow

It's Modern Quilt Month here at Quilt Inspiration! We'll be posting a new modern quilt each weekday... we hope you enjoy our photos! Today's fun quilt was based on a QuiltCon workshop by Carolyn Friedlander.

Bow by Sara Quigley

Sara Quigley says, "I was pleased to take the class with Carolyn Friedlander at QuiltCon (2022).  I enjoyed this hand applique project which was inspired by the arcs of a rainbow." For the finishing touch, Bow was hand quilted using a large stitch.

 

Fabulous floral, checkerboard, and solid color prints were included in the design.  Sara says that many of the fun prints are by Carolyn Friedlander as well.

 Here are more than 30 free patterns for rainbow and color wheel quilts. In a true rainbow quilt the hues are arranged in the sequence in which they appear in a rainbow: ROYGBIV (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.)
