Free Pattern Day: Snowball Quilts

The snowball pattern is one of the best-known of all Amish quilt blocks. Around the Twist Amish quilt, 2009


The beautiful quilt called Around the Twist, above, was featured at the 2009 Mennonite relief auction.  The white snowball blocks and alternating 9-patch or 'twist' blocks are turned on their points, as shown below.


This block combination is also called Octagon and Twist, Knotted Rings, Garden Twist and Woven Braid.See the free patterns below.
