All finished

The last of the binding has been attached. Yay two quilts completed for the month very excited. Now to deliver them to the girls. Mmmm I will be taking them this week.

Binding round

Finished the quilting on my Jelly Roll quilt Shhhh need lots more practice and maybe a smaller foot for my machine!

Binding is sewed on and tonight's job is to begin stitching it down.. Wish me luck

Binding

I am off and binding tonight. After completing the race and attempting to quilt it is time to bind.

Bridie my 9 year old likes the quilt and wants one for her bed! Not this one I have a home for it later on in the year! I forgot to create a label but I will do that after I have bound it.

Machine Quilting

First attempt at machine quilting a single bed sized quilt hmmmm so many flaws! I am sure that the little person receiving it will love it.

Jelly roll race

Thank you to Kylie who introduced me to 1600 Jelly Roll Race quilt. I gave managed to complete two quilt tops during the past week.
The two quilts are now machine basted and ready for quilting. I was lucky to visit my friend who has a small quilting business and has a quilting machine.
She basted together my quilts.
I went to a great sale held at my local patchwork shop and bought the backing fabric for $4 a metre. Very lucky.

I am hoping to begin quilting one if the tops on Sunday, my girls are expecting a visitor tomorrow but who knows! They were meant to come today and didn't show!

I now have a task for Sunday.
Tonight I am going to be stitching my hexagons so i can join them tonight.

Sewing at Caragabel

This is what I did in Friday at a friends house!
I also basted it on her quilting machine and my other jelly roll quilt.

Now I can start to quilt them!
