Sewing maching mat to match the thread catcher and cushion
A thread catcher and pin cushion.  Christine mentioned how lovely it sat near her machine however I am now convinced it will sit much nicer next to mine.

A gorgeous felt brooch, this is mine and my three girls were also given a brooch each.  These were worn proudly on Christmas day.  Here are more of Christine's brooches.

This was found in the bag, scissors and a measuring tape.

Thank you so much Christine.
A huge thank you To Cheryll who partnered me up with Christine. Head over to the Santa Sack blog to see what other ladies swapped.

I will be back in 2013.

Not happening

These last few days I have been struggling big time.

I thought my back was going on me AGAIN. All it took was getting out if the car and walking up works stairs!
24 hours and it is on the mend.

I still have trouble sleeping. Keep waking up regularly.

I went to Kaths for tea last night. We had fish and chips. From Lakeside TakeAway. Yummo

Mum rang to say she had made a placemat out of her Santa stitcheries. Must get her to send me a picture.

Tonight I will be finishing my final Santa Sack Swap item. Ready to send on Monday.

Canberra.

Well after a wonderful weekend with family and friends we have now arrived in Canberra.

On the way I collected the girls from the places they stayed at. Bridie attempted to get in the car with a new born motherless baby lamb. The umbilical chord was still attached!

It is cool in Canberra so great weather to get some stitching completed tonight.

Heading to the post office tomorrow to send a parcel to Christine with this months Santa sack delivery.

Also counting down the days to meeting up with Geniene to exchange Black and White bags. Photos will come.

Thirteen Unlucky?????

Thirteen hexagon blocks completed.

Have been missing in action for a couple of days.

Well we have had visitors. Me ex-brother in law his wife and four year old daughter came to stay for two nights. Their 12 year old daughter was playing netball in Dubbo.
It was great having them.

I am back on track with the sewing of hexagons tonight. Working hard on stitching them so I can join them as best as I can so that I can cut the remaining half of the fat quarter.

Mmm my Santa Sack parcel needs to be sent by the end of the week so I had best get that organised shortly too.

Parcel sent and one received

My first Santa sack swap parcel has been sent off. Yay!!!!

Was excited to be home when the delivery came this morning. A yellow envelope passed over my doorway.

My ten year old was so excited. She kept saying mum you can't be opening the parcel you are not allowed. But I did, I was greeted with three parcels.

One had a message on so I opened it.
With shouts of joy to find my Santa Sack.

I so love it thank you so much for this gorgeous sack. I have filled it up with parcels. Take a look inside.

Santa Sack Swap Partners announced

It has been a great weekend.

Saturday was spent watching Bridie train and play soccer.  Bridie was awarded coaches award for getting in and having a go.  She got to take home the trophy for the week.  So happy for her, but on the flip side me being the lucky mum got to take home all of the shirts to wash and then bring the oranges for next game.

Today Bridie began her preparation for First Holy Communion. We attended Mass, after a sleep in, and then went to the class.  Afterwards we bought some yummy fresh roles from Banardi's IGA and came home where Bridie cooked lunch.  She is loving toasties... I am too.

This afternoon I received the much awaited email from Cheryll who is the host of the Santa Sack Swap.  She gave us the names of our partner for the swap.  I have Christine, her blog is HERE.  I have sent off an email and now wait for the reply from Christine.

I can't wait to hear from Christine.
  • Will I be making her a sack or a stocking?
  • What colours does she like?  dislike?
  • What type of Christmas does she like.. Traditional? Modern? Country?
I am not a person who has a great dislike for fabrics, colours or designs.  My Christmas theme is a mix of traditional, modern and country.  I hope I don't make it too hard for Christine.

Right now to sit and wait for the email.

First mailout is July 1st, doesn't leave me too long as I am going on holidays 21st June - 29th June.  So as soon as I hear I will be in to the sewing.

Until next time,
