Happy birthday wishes go out to my mum.

These are the new patterns That jumped into my bag during the day. It is deadly to have the shop Under the Mulberry Tree within arms length of the table!

Ric Rac hippopotamus, teapot and Rosalie's barrel basket.

Rosalie's a Rwdwork Christmas.

More patterns to put in the to do pile.

A week away already.

Last Friday Ange and I travelled south to Swan Hill in Victoria. We are breakfast I welcoming the Little Murray River., on offshoot of the Murray River.

We dropped in to spend the day sewing with Kylie and Heather.
We had bought gifts for Kylie's new house.

Kylie gave me my birthday present. A gorgeous hat pin cushion.

One of the ladies in her sewing group made it.

After the house tour we settled at the table and was presented with a laptop.

On the laptop screen was the gorgeous Michelle.
She joined us via FaceTime all the way from Darwin.

Here is Kylie with the huge grin and Michelle.  It was great to see and-stitch with the girls again.

Ange finished crocheting a little jacket for her soon to be born granddaughter.

It is so cute.

I did my Vignette EPP I nearly got another row attached. Have to sew some more joiners. Have them ready to colour so I will begin very soon.

Heather did some Dresden plates.

Kylie did some EPP stitching and Michelle worked on her gorgeous bags.

If you head over to Michelle's blog. Daisyhillquilts.blogspot.com ( I do wish links can be created from the iPhone app!) she has more pictures of the day.

Afternoon tea was a yummy mud cake made for my happy birthday at this time Kylie's mum Dawn showed up. She was working in the Christmas quilt in the Homespun magazine.

Was a great day. We need to do it again very soon. But living six hours away is always a challenge when you want to catch up.

Still more birthday presents.

I didn't only get gifts from my fat quarter birthday swap buddies.

My very good friend Michelle sent me a parcel with strict instructions not to open it until my birthday.

My goodness it was with the wait.

Michelle made me this gorgeous purse.

It has a detachable fob which I am looking forward to using along with the purse.

Thanks Michelle I love it so much.

Hip hip hooray.

Today is my birthday.

Not a special number but a very special day.

I have had a number of parcels arrive over the past weeks from all over Australia as part of this group.

I also got a parcel from Darwin, from Michelle.

One of her gorgeous purses. Feel very loved today.

Will post more later.

Party time

Yay. Had a great time last night helping me sister in law celebrate her 40th birthday.

The cake was decorated nicely but didn't taste it.

Meal was yummy.

Josie loved her present although she did think the quilt she opened was from me! Tricked her buy buying her a bracelet from Flossbell designs. The bracelet was silver with a ring with Josie's kids names stamped on it.

Fantastic day

Today has been an awesome day. It was my birthday and my kids ended up being at home.
No presents were exchanged today as they had already given me some before as they were meant to be at their fathers house. Talia made a breakfast tray and Bridie found some poems and printed them off.

Bridie made me jam on toast and a coffee for breakfast.
Bridie and I were taken to the dish out at Parkes for lunch. My team leader and her daughter took us which was lovely. We attempted to take a picture of us trying to hold up the dish. While we were there the dish moved three times!

Talia made me pancakes and made letters from them to write me a message.

I received lots of emails, texts and Facebook messages which was lively. Now I am sitting down enjoying a yummy Earl Grey tea catching up on missed shows. Might even get some sewing out to do.

Tenth birthday celebration

Today is my youngest daughters birthday. She started the morning in Surfers Paradise and ended the day in Toowoomba.

She was most excited to receive her iPod touch. It was preloaded with songs and apps so she could use it in the car.

By the time we left Browns Plains we decided that Toowoomba was going to be our stop over. Mum is traveling with us too

Sat and did some sewing tonight and now looking forward to getting home posting off my first two parcels and sack to Christine.

Little excited here!

Two celebrations happen in my house this week, Sunday is Mothers Day and tomorrow my eldest turns 17!

Candice stopped driving with 20 hours to go and is now madly trying to make up for lost time by driving again. She pointed out today that this is the second birthday for a long time I am not away for work. She has exams and is going out with her girlfriends for tea but that doesn't count! I still home.

Today my other two daughters came to my work and then walked downtown to a gorgeous shop called Painted Daisies. A beautiful lady left our office to take over the business. Well I got a phone call after the girls were there for ten minutes! They wanted to purchase goods to the value of 240.00. I promptly said no so they put some things away and came back with the total bring 139. Mow I am intrigued as to what they bought. Talia tells me Bridie picked and she just agreed or disagreed!

Anyway this time 17 years ago I was alone in the hospital waiting for an early start to prepare for my Caesar now that baby is nearly an adult. Mmmm where do the years go?

Lucky I have my quilts and hexagons to show for the passing time.
