FNWF......Adding borders...

Friday night I joined into Friday night with Friends. I spent time knitting more rows on my Hitchhiker scarf. I now have 4 points to go. But I am thinking of using the second ball to make it even bigger.

Saturday and Sunday I spent time at my machine. Poor thing must be feeling neglected but gee it is good to working on this quilt top.

Natures Journey is a pattern designed by the talented Anni from Hatched and Patched. This quilt top began as part of the stitch a long run by Chooky. I completed all the appliqué and cut out the fabric towards the end of 2015.

This weekend I have added the checkerboard border and also added the appliqué border. The weekend is not over and I still have two borders to add.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get a child to leave the confines of her bedroom to hold the quilt top so the top borders folder over the clothesline.

Thanks for dropping by..... Simone

Background pieced together

I am so pleased I had some time to piece my background. I didn't read the instructions properly and had to piece the large block back together. But I am happy with the result.

I haven't finished June blocks.

I have moved house! I am now back on the mortgage pathway. I am very excited to be in a great house.

This is my living area. Photo is taken leaning up against the kitchen bench.

I am nearly all sorted and can now start back on these blocks.

So glad to be back. Now I need to catch up in all the posts I have missed.

May blocks completed

I have been somewhat distracted of late; travelling for work, attempting to complete an assignment for university.

One success I can share are my May blocks and they are completed.

Making a start

Part one blocks have been cut out.
Fabrics chosen for the appliqué pieces, taken from the range Raspberry Parlour.

Having a go at needle turn again. I do have a quilt completed using needle turn.
