Last Sunday I did some more 60 degree diamonds for Slow Sunday Stitching and I think this week I may well start joining them together. My EPP bible 'Quilting on the Go' suggests doing that every eight stars. That way it frees up more templates. There could of course be a flaw in that plan because at the moment I'm picking out my all time favourite fabrics which means I might be left with the ones I'm not quite so in love with!
The binding also went onto the little sewing kit and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
Tomorrow I will link up with Kathy's blog for Slow Sunday Stitching to see what other people have been sewing!
Have a nice day.
I love your stars and your little sewing kit. I think it would be easier also to do a star set at a time freeing up more templates. I have waited too long on my hexie quilt and now I have a large piece left to attach I might do that tomorrow for slow stitching - I hope it is still nice outside and I can do it while I enjoy the porch
ReplyDeletecute sewing kit, and the stars are looking fabulous
ReplyDeleteLove your sewing kit, Sarah, it is really cute!
ReplyDeleteI forced myself to make all the pieces before I put anything together. Plus, that way you save time by making several in the same fabric at once. But any way you slice it, it's a slow job!
Your little sewing kit is really cute. I love your stars. They are looking great!
