Rainbow scrap challenge and embroidered felt

I said previously that I hadn't done any sewing (apart from the wedding bunting) but actually I have done some hand sewing!  I concentrated on the yellow so I would have something to show for Rainbow scrap challenge tomorrow!

And here is the piece of embroidered felt I've been working on.  It would be so easy to just carry on sewing the odd stitch here and there, but I think I will call time on it now.  I want to make it into a book cover to give to Faye. (Now where on earth am I going to find time to do that?)

Off back up to London tomorrow - it's Faye's hen do.  Afternoon tea at a lovely hotel in Richmond (over looking the Thames) and then on to the greyhound racing at Wimbledon!!

Devon

We have just spent two rather glorious weeks in Devon.  Starting off on Dartmoor and ending up on the North Devon coast!  This is our view from the campsite!  It was fantastic and we didn't (well hardly) talk wedding talk!!!!

We did lots of walking while we were away and visited National Trust properties, looked at gardens and ate more than one cream tea (of course we had to show our support in the cafes and restaurants!)  We came across quite a few peacocks (and a couple of peahens) at several of the places we visited.  They seem to want to be photographed and this particular one was more than happy to pose although he wasn't prepared to show his tail feathers in all their glory.  We later realised he stakes out this spot because someone from the big house puts grain out for them at the same time every day (how do they know the time?)
