Tilda House Quilt

I couldn't wait to get started on my new fabric. My plan is to make the house quilt from the Tilda 'Sew Pretty Homestyle' book. Here are the strips sewn together and some of the houses!

Quilt shops - West Country

We have just returned form two weeks touring Devon and Cornwall, which happened to take in three quilt shops!!! The first one is Cowslip in Launston Cornwall, which is on a farm just outside the town. But what a fantastic shop. And above are the Moda fabrics I bought (OK so my resolution of not starting anything has gone out of the window well and truly). You can view more of the goodies at www.cowslopworkshops.com. The other really nice thing about the farm is it has a wonderful cafe attached to it. Not only is the food good but the decor all adds to the experience!
The second shop I discovered by accident in Tavistock, next to the Pannier Market, but a real treasure trove with a fantastic variety of fabric, along with lots of wool and haberdashery items. The last shop was also stumbled across while we were staying on the edge of Dartmoor in Ashburton. Its a small shop but has a nice selection of fabric.
