Stay at Home Robin

Ive joined a stay at home robin. Every month, Kate posts the requirements for the round robin. For July we have to make a 6 x 6" square. Over 12 months we will add to it until we have a small wall hanging 16 x 18". The difference between a stay at home robin and a round robin is I get to keep all the pieces Ive made - a great way to get into a round robin, without the pressure! Ive used some left over bits from Number one sons quilt. I loved the fabric so much it will be nice to have something actually made from the odds and ends - should be fun!
Ive also spent the day at Sue's bead shop - stock taking!!! Yes a long and tedious task, but I did get to bring some goodies home with me! http://www.thebeadbase.co.uk/

Stay at home round Robin

Not a lot happening at the moment , so started trawling some of the blogs I visit occasionally - I really needed some inspiration. Low and behold I came across Kate's blog and she is organising a stay at home round Robin. Sounds right up my street. I think all I have to do at present is make a 6" block and post the photo. Off to my work room to dig out some fabric. Watch this space!!

Brown Paper

Last weeks class with Take Two involved a sheet of brown paper and paint! Ive added a bit of machine embroidery and hand sewing, a large brad and some matching string. A tassel from a class a few months ago and a piece of sari silk and my book cover is complete! I loved making this and I know exactly what I'm going to make all my friends for Christmas this year!!
