Verizon Foundation: Abuse Deniers
Dear Christian,

Thanks to all of your calls, emails, and protests across the country, Verizon has taken down the Monster video. The gender-biased video portrayed men as abusive monsters, boys as potential abusive monsters, and only women and girls as victims.

Activists across the United States and Canada went to their local Verizon stores to raise awareness about the video. Read about one California protest here: http://www.saveservices.org/2011/12/california-group-protests-verizons-false-dv-claims

Unfortunately, Verizon remains a hotbed of gender-biased misinformation, such as its Pinocchio-like claim that 'domestic violence is the single greatest cause of injury to women ages 15-44':http://foundation.verizon.com/core/domestic.shtml

We are asking on you to continue to call, email and protest at Verizon stores until this information is replaced with balanced information.

Print out copies of the new flyer:  http://www.saveservices.org/wp-content/uploads/Verizon-Abuse-Deniers.pdf. Then pass it out to customers as they enter the store, and make sure you give one to the manager and other store employees.

Sincerely,

Teri

UPDATE..

NCFM-Los Angeles Stages Protest Against Verizon’s Male-Bashing Anti-Father Video
December 12, 2011
On Saturday, 12/10/11 the Los Angeles chapter of the National Coalition For Men (NCFM) held a street demonstration outside Verizon to protest Verizon’s anti-father advertisements that depict fathers as “Monsters.”
Approximately 15 people participated in the rally, including members of Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny (BOND), a faith-based organization founded by Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson that has a home for troubled young men. The rally was at the corner of 26th Street and Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica.
“Verizon finally pulled the ad, but the company has a history of anti-father ads, and we had a protest years ago for the same thing,” said Marc Angelucci, NCFM’s Vice President. “Also, a lot of Verizon‘s false, stereotyping information on domestic violence is still on their website .”
In addition to displaying a number of large signs saying things such as: “Verizon, Stop the Anti-Father Ads!,” “Honk For Dads Rights,” and “Stop Abuse For Everyone,” NCFM members spoke from a bullhorn and handed out flyers from the organization Stop Abusive and Violent Environments (SAVE) , which is organizing a national protest against the ads.

SAVE Urges Activists to Protest Verizon Video
Dear Christian J,

Outrage is growing over the Verizon Foundation video that portrays abusers as "monsters" and denies the existence of abusive women or abused males: http://www.multivu.com/mnr/52044-verizon-foundation-national-domestic-hotline-video-launch-monsters

Editorialists have called the video "outrageously misandric" and having the "potential for spreading harm and hate." The pro-feminist blog Jezebel described the video as "disturbing."

Activists across the United States and Canada are going to their local Verizon store to raise awareness about the video's systematic biases. We invite you to join in this effort.

Print out copies of this flyer: http://www.saveservices.org/wp-content/uploads/Verizon-Monster-Video-flyer-FINAL.pdf  . Then pass it out to customers as they enter the store and to store employees.

Tell them the Verizon video is hateful and harmful, and needs to taken down immediately.

Sincerely,

Teri

S.A.V.E. Forces Politicians to End Anti-Male Sexism and Discrimination..

It is not very often that being reasonable can be allocated to politicians. Normally, their mentality and adherence to their own doctrine has the same effect that doctrine has on feminists. One only has to justify one's responses with any argument, regardless whether or not that argument is cemented in lies and half-truths appears to be irrelevant..

If there ever was a time to gloat about a victory over those male haters, this is definitely a good time. S.A.V.E. have undertaken a mammoth task of convincing the law makers that sexism and discrimination exists but primarily against men and boys. This just jumps another hurdle as we all know. Now we need to concentrate on the sexism and discrimination clearly demonstrated by government departments such as Education, Family Law, Divorce add to that list the obvious and blatant discrimination demonstrated daily by the Judiciary. So we have not got far to go and hopefully those efforts will be achieved in my lifetime and from the looks of it, it may well be the case as the MM bloats into an unstoppable force to be reckoned with and no longer to be ignored..

We will succeed because we have right on our side..

Here is S.A.V.E. latest effort..

Sen. Leahy Drops Controversial VAWA Campus Sex Provision

PRESS RELEASE

But Civil Rights Violations Remain
Washington, DC/November 14, 2011 — As a result of criticism from Stop Abusive and Violent Environments (SAVE) and other groups, Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) has dropped the controversial “preponderance of evidence” standard from his proposed Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) reauthorization bill. “Because of the feedback he has received concerning this proposal, he does not plan to include it in the bill he later will introduce,” according to Erica Chabot, spokeswoman for the Senate Judiciary Committee (1).
Language in the draft bill would have required federally funded universities to apply a lower standard of proof — a 51% “preponderance” of evidence rather than the usual “clear and convincing” evidence — in cases of alleged sexual assault or domestic violence.
SAVE is thankful that the Senator decided to drop this section from his proposed bill, but other parts of the measure still contain troubling civil rights concerns:
Due Process Violations:
  • Allows for the continued funding of mandatory arrest policies, which a Harvard study found to increases in partner homicides of 60 percent.
  • One false allegation can be used to tear apart a family: VAWA is an engine for the growth of single-parent households and the demand for welfare services.
Equal Protection Violations:
  • Provides legal assistance to accusers, and at the same time, denies it for the accused
  • Perpetuates sex-based discrimination through biased predominant aggressor policies and continues due process violations
  • Does not distinguish between those simply making allegations and those with probable-cause evidence of violence or abuse
These civil rights problems are explained in SAVE’s Special Report, Are Domestic Violence Policies Respecting our Fundamental Freedoms? (2).
Violations of citizens’ civil rights cannot be justified by resulting reductions in partner abuse. The Department of Justice has acknowledged, “We have no evidence to date that VAWA has led to a decrease in the overall levels of violence against women.”
SAVE spokesman Philip W. Cook says, “We congratulate Senator Leahy for removing the unacceptable ‘preponderance of evidence’ language from his bill. It shows that he is responsive to well-documented civil rights concerns. We hope that he and other Senators will now take the necessary steps to ensure that the many other problems with the proposed legislation are also addressed.”

This pertains to the draconian efforts that Obama and his team of henchwomen, he has installed in the White House under the guise and pretense of being all about "eqwalitee", which ofcourse is so far from the truth that it's not even remotely comprehensible..Obama installed the male hating witches a few months back under that standard guise but here we have another example of what it is they are really working on. If you are of the opinion that Obama gives anything but contempt to all men than you really need to update your thinking paradigm as he has already demonstrated how far down he already is in the feminist's male hating pockets. This President is a feminised sychophant of the worst degree, even wallowing lower than the delusional feminised manginas whom you can see on the web. Obama has to go and it will be within your best interest to see this traitor go..

Dept. of Ed is Ignoring Us, Now We Take it to the Top

Dear Christian,

As we reported last week, the U.S. Department of Education (DED) has issued a directive that requires colleges to use the "preponderance of evidence" standard in handling allegations of sexual assault, a standard that in practice removes the presumption of innocence.

Editorials rightly continue to condemn this directive, like:

The New Rules of College Sex.

We'd like to thank all of you who contacted Ms. Russlyn Ali, Assistant Secretary, Office for Civil Rights last week by email and phone. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough.

We are being ignored, and that is unacceptable. This week we take it to the top!

Let's flood the inbox and voice mailbox of Secy. Of Education Arne Duncan. Be resolute and be persistent. Politely yet firmly insist Mr. Duncan remove the sex assault policy that strips due process from the accused.

Please contact Arne Duncan today:

Telephone: 202-401-3000 Email: arne.duncan@ed.gov

Your voice matters. Use it.

S.A.V.E. is an organisation we all should get behind and support in every way possible as they are fighting the same sexism, misandry and bias that we are..

So as part of the request is that you spread the message that misandry (male hate) will no longer be acceptable behaviour or tolerated. Make every effort to expose this program where ever you can, blogs, sites, Facebook, twitter etc. Let's give this some major exposure and as Paul often states FTSU (F*ck their shit up)

S.A.V.E. launches C.A.M.P. program
On July 11 Catherine Becker of California drugged her husband, lashed him to a bed, severed his penis, and threw it into a garbage disposal. Becker coolly explained to the responding officers, “He deserved it.”
Sharon Osburne of ABC’s The Talk made light of the assault. Osbourne described the incident as “hysterical” and boasted to her national audience, “It’s quite fabulous.”
Others callously blamed the victim. “When you cross a woman, all is fair,” remarked TV personality Wendy Williams. The most common response of the national media, however, was to ignore the gruesome attack. But what if the perpetrator had been a male and the victim a female — the reaction would have been totally different: Alarming newscasts, agonized editorials, campus marches, and stern demands for harsh criminal sanctions.
Relying on rapid media response using mainstream media, social media, radio, and other channels, the Countering Abuse Misinformation Project – CAMP – will work to bring an end to this pernicious double-standard.SAVE is launching CAMP on Monday, August 22. SAVE will be inviting persons to make comments to online newspaper articles, write letters to the editor, and so forth. An orientation call will be held Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 9pm Eastern time. If you would like to participate in this history-making effort, contact Teri Stoddard at tstoddard@saveservices.org .
