Essence - I Love Bad Boys + Kitty Update #9

Oh my god, I completely forgot my two year blogoversary was this month! Well I was actually already planning something so I'm going to try and be ready in my next blogpost. I'm not telling you anything yet :D Anyway, this post I'm going to show you another one of the new Essence polishes (I Love Bad Boys) and another kitty update! For ILBB I used 2 coats and no topcoat.
daylight (outside), no flash.

sunlight, with flash.

close-up!

As you can see, my nails are quite short right now, but I thought it was time to just cut them off a bit since they were really splitting and breaking off. Anyways, ILBB is a very pretty turquoise/blue crème with tiny little glass flecks. I love it! Application was great (I love the new Essence brushes!) and so was drying time.
Maybe some of you have noticed there was no kittypic in this post..that's because I wasn't able to make any good pictures this time. They're all moved or too dark or whatever. Sorry! But...I do have a kitty update for you guys :D

They are growing. Wow. From little kittens to (well..almost) cats. Sem is such an adventurous little guy, but he is also very cuddly! Mila is just one of the cuddliest kitties ever. And they purr like crazy :D

playing Sem, such a cute picture!

That's all for this post, have a great weekend!

Catrice Million Styles - Return Of Space Cowboys

Hello cuties! Today I rushed my butt to the Kruidvat to get some of the Million Styles polishes from Catrice, and found the two I wanted :D I got Shake It! Flake It! and Return Of Space Cowboys, wich I will be showing you today. It's a duochrome turquoise glitter and I applied 1 coat over my favourite black, MAX - Black.
normal daylight, not too sunny (as usual), no flash.

a bit moven, sorry, with flash.

kittypic! purrrr...

I LOVE THIS. It's all pretty and blue and duochrome and wiiiiiiii! The base is a dark gray jelly and it contains silver and blue glass flecks. Isn't that amazing? Drying time wasn't amazing but it wasn't too bad.. We'll see about the removal with this one, I hope I'll be able to get it all off haha!
So, what do you think? Do you own any of the Million Styles topcoats?

I'm back from Switzerland :D

Hello my lovely followers! After an amazing but exhausting week of skiing in Ovronnaz we're back home with Luna :) When I got home I discovered one hell of a thing, I almost reached the 200 followers! I currently have 195, and I'm so cloooooose omg :D
Here are some pictures I made this week (not a lot this time, we just had so much fun I forgot to take pictures haha)

The first day there was a weird fog laying over Switzerland. It looked mysterious, I liked it.

This is the view from our apartment the first day, dark and cloudy.

And this is the view from the next day, all blue and sunny and purrrettyyyyy :D

Me and my cousin Lieke decided to paint our nails, Lieke (left) is wearing OPI - Not So Bora Bora-ing Pink and I'm (right) wearing good old China Glaze - For Audrey.

That's really the selection of the 20 pictures I made haha like I told you, not a lot.

That's it for today, I'll post some swatches of the new Essence polishes I bought soon as well. For now, I'm going to bed. I am extremely tired haha..

Golden Rose Scale #06 over Essence - Bella

Hi guys! Sorry for not posting in a while but I have had a busy week so I didn't get the chance to write a blogpost but I did paint them.. Yesterday I had a party to celebrate Lisa's 16th birthday (wich is today!) and I had loads of fun (happy birthday sweetie, thanks for inviting me :D). I wore a turquoise blouse and I wanted something on my nails to match them. I applied two layers of Essence - Bella, 1 of Golden Rose Scale Effect #06 and 1 layer of Essence matt topcoat. Let's look at the final result first!

So, I think it is very very veeeeeeery purretty but I don't really get why there are 3 copper flakies on my ringfinger? It's so strange, they don't colour-shift or anything they're just plain copper. Oh well, still pretty!
Here's a picture of Bella:

normal light, 2 coats, no flash.

So then I applied 1 layer of  #06 and here's a picture of it before I mattified it:
normal light, no flash.

And ofcourse then I applied the matt topcoat and here's a little other picture of that:
the kittypic ofcourse!

In bright lights the flakies turn all pink and invisible so I like it better in darker lights where all the flakies turn green, blue and prettyyyyyyyy...

So, that was it for today, I hope you like the mani and be sure to check out Lisa's blog though she's not posting very often haha love you though cutie :D♥

PS. I got a question in my last blogpost from Jossy and she asked what is my favourite nailpolish of all time and if I'm going to do the nailpolish obsession tag.
Well, my favourite nailpolish of all time is still China Glaze - For Audrey. I adore the colour, the formula, everything about it actually! And erhm sure, I could do the nailpolish obsession tag! Are there more people who want to see me do this? Let me know in the comments and maybe I'll just do it!

Crushed Luxury

Hello lovely ladies, before I start talking about my nails, I would love for you all to take the time to vote for Lucy in the glossybox contest! Just click this link: http://fb.me/1gCbmyBRx and "Like" the picture on facebook :D Lucy, I really hope you win this contest, yours is BY FAR the best!

Now, on to my nails of the week! In the package I received from Lucy I found Color Club - Untamed Luxury, a green/tealish glitter. Then, on friday, my order from nailpolishfashion arrived! I ordered China Glaze - Crushed Candy (wich is kind of the crackle version of my favourite nailpolish ever, For Audrey!) and decided to combine these two. The result? Crushed Luxury...

normal light, no flash. PLEASE, don't look at my dry, ugly hands :o

I ♥ this! First I applied 1 layer of Untamed Luxury over my favourite black of all time, MAX black...

normal light, with flash.

artificial light, no flash. I made this picture to show you how the colour pretty much looks in just normal daylight!

kittypic!

Before I could apply Crushed Candy I had to apply 2 layers of topcoat to make this finish less gritty lol.. But, after that completely dried, I finally applied Crushed Candy :D

artificial light, no flash.

close-up of my middle finger, normal light and no flash. (such a high ISO, sorry about that..)

kittypic!

Yes. I adore this.

Do you like this layering combo?

OPI - Yodel Me On My Cell

Sorry for not posting so long, but last week I just couldn't find time to write something! On to the polish. In my last post I told you I now own my very first OPI nailpolish.. I've posted about 2 OPI polishes before, but they were both borrowed from Lisa. Now, I have my own! It's Yodel Me On My Cell from the Swiss Collection in Fall 2010. I still want Ski Teal We Drop from that collection, and I hope I can order that one soon :D
Would you like to see some pictures of YMOMC?

Bottle pics ♥.♥

I applied 3 coats to make this pretty-polish opaque, and I'm OK with that. It's a big bottle!

normal light, no flash.

close to the window, no flash.

kittypic!

It was such a P.I.T.A to photograph! Every time I took a picture I thought it would be colour accurate but when I looked at it.. It was really blue. And YMOMC is not that blue, it's really turquoise! Anyway, I still love it. The colour is perfect. It's even a bit duochrome, in some light.. Drying time is AMAZING! I could touch my nails after 1 minute without getting bumps and stuff in the nailpolish and just apply the next coat without getting bubbles on my nails. Whaaaat?! I told you, amazing.

Now, my dear followers, I have to continue making my homework.. Thanks for reading!

China Glaze - For Audrey

Hi guys, sorry for not posting so long but I wasn't home this weekend! Now I would like to show you some new pictures of China Glaze - For Audrey, wich I'm proud to call one of my favourite polishes ♥

Ahhhhhhhhhh so pretty ♥.♥ I love Audrey Hepburn, I love turquoise and I LOVE this polish! Opaque in 2 thick/3 thin coats and drying time is AWESOME. I could go on and on about how much I love this polish, but I won't bother you any longer.
I just love it!

What is your favourite nailpolish?

Salomé 29

Hello lovely ladies! Today I'm going to show you one of the polishes I bought in France. This is a teal polish from Salomé, wich I bought at a market for €1,- As always with teals, it's so hard to capture the real colour so I have this for you, wich shows you pretty much the excact colour:

Now, on to my nail pics! I used 2 coats of the polish and no topcoat.

normal light, with flash.

sunlight, no flash.

Then I stamped (yep, again) the flower design from Konad M71 with the white Essence stampy polish. Now I don't know if any of you have the same problem, but since my nails are longer I find it harder to stamp full-nail images. The bottom goes fine, but then the top.. My stamp doesn't even touch the top of my nail?! If you have any tips, help me because I messed up my ring finger and pinkie because of this haha..

normal light, no flash. excuse the stamping fail on the pinkie haha!

kittypic!

If you have any tips for me, leave it in the comments!

I ♥.♥ THIS COLOUR! I bought it for half the price when there was a discount at the Kruidvat and WOW, I never expected to love it this much :o Enough with the talking, let's move on to the pictures :D

2 coats, in sunlight, no flash.

I know.. right? It's so.. perfect! Opaque in only 2 coats, glossy without any topcoat and ofcourse, the gorgeous colour! I'm thinking about some nail art on this, but what?

Help me! Should I crackle, konad or scotch tape this beauty?

x Elize
